Chapter 81 Celebi VS Mewtwo

Chapter 81 Celebi VS Mewtwo

That night, Ron and the others boarded a flight back to Pallet Town and arrived at Ron's ranch early the next morning.

"Wow! It's so luxurious!" Rosa exclaimed, looking around the ranch with envy.

Even Celebi was delighted, happily flying around the courtyard, causing the trees and flowers it passed by to grow even more vibrantly.

"Roar!" A sudden roar echoed as Aerodactyl descended from the sky, landing right in front of Ron.

"Yeah, I'm back for a quick visit, but I'll need to continue traveling soon. Let's head to the villa first—don't worry; if we're lucky, you might get a chance to battle in the Silver Conference," Ron said, patting Aerodactyl's large head.

"This is your Aerodactyl, Ron? It looks really impressive," Ruby said enviously, staring at the Aerodactyl.

"Yeah. I won't bother you guys any further. I still need to deal with some people from the Pokémon League. Let me tell you a little tip—the closer you get to my villa, the higher the quality of the Pokémon. There are also several scenic spots around here where the Pokémon tend to have higher potential," Ron winked at them.

Ruby and Rosa nodded eagerly, excitedly beginning their search. Ron climbed onto Aerodactyl's back, allowing it to carry him back to the villa on the second floor.

As soon as he entered the house, Ron saw Lorelei and Blaine sitting on the sofa, drinking tea, along with two unknown League staff members nearby.

The corner of Ron's mouth twitched. "Lorelei, Blaine... How much does the League fear me? They actually sent the two of you here?"

Lorelei sighed helplessly, "There's no choice. You've fleeced the League too many times already. They're being extra cautious now."

"That's right. After what happened with Celebi, the League specifically asked us to come, hoping you'd give us some face and not rip them off too badly," Blaine added.

"Three times at twenty million each. That's my lowest offer," Ron hesitated briefly, "We'll talk more next time, but this time, each top-tier Pokémon will cost twenty million."

Lorelei sighed again. "Alright." She took out a phone and called the League.

After a while, Lorelei said, "Five times can't be lowered further. After all, the League needs to take precautions. But they agreed to raise the price to fifty million each."

Ron thought for a moment, then nodded. "Deal. There are ten Pokémon this time, so send five hundred million first, and then I'll take you to select them."

Lorelei nodded and sent a message to the League. Two minutes later, Ron received a notification that the money had been transferred. Feeling flush with funds, he immediately converted two hundred thousand diamonds to buy two Aptitude-Enhancing Potions for his Greninja and Sylveon.

After receiving the five hundred million, Ron spent two hundred million instantly, making him wince painfully. Thankfully, none of his main Pokémon were merely high-quality anymore. Otherwise, at one hundred million per Aptitude Potion, even Ron's wealth couldn't sustain such heavy expenditures.

Ron had also wondered before what would happen if a top-tier Pokémon used an Aptitude Potion. However, the system had informed him clearly: Aptitude Potions could only enhance Pokémon below top-tier to reach top-tier quality. For Pokémon already at the top tier, the potions would merely be candy.

Ron then led Lorelei and Blaine to a special area designed specifically for top-tier Pokémon—a custom-built ecological park funded generously by the League. They spared no expense, using only the highest-quality materials.

The park contained mountains, rivers, ice fields, and volcanoes—all artificial, of course—simulating natural habitats so the Pokémon could comfortably live there. Naturally, constructing this facility had cost the League a significant sum.

Lorelei immediately went to the ice fields and chose an Alolan Vulpix. Ron had captured it in Alola and originally intended to raise it himself. However, after Lorelei heard about it, she insisted on having it. Given their close relationship and the fact she had previously helped him train, Ron agreed and reserved it for her.

Satisfied with her Alolan Vulpix, Lorelei smiled contentedly. Blaine also selected an Alolan Marowak from the volcanic area. With its dual Fire and Ghost types, it was perfect for Blaine to raise carefully.

Then, the two League staff members started choosing from a prepared list.

"Qwilfish, Natu, Chinchou, Zubat, Gastly, Ursaring, Corsola, Mantine," Ron counted, "Along with Lorelei's and Blaine's picks, that's exactly ten."

Ron noticed their selections were quite specific, likely chosen based on requests from the Elite Four or perhaps the champion himself. Although he didn't know exactly who had requested them.

After sending them off, Ron sent two lower-quality Chansey to notify Ruby and Rosa, inviting them to select their Pokémon from the ecological park as well. After all, each was a protagonist from their respective regions, destined to achieve great things. Helping them now meant building stronger connections for the future.

"Boom!" Suddenly, a massive explosion echoed through the ranch.

Ron had just released his Pokémon to let them familiarize themselves with their new home when the sound of the explosion startled him. Without hesitation, he jumped onto Aerodactyl's back, quickly flying toward the location of the disturbance.

Upon arrival, Ron saw Celebi and Mewtwo facing each other. Mewtwo had a spoon in hand pointed directly at Celebi, while Celebi was emitting ripples of temporal energy, clearly serious about the confrontation.

"Stop right now! What's gotten into you two?!" Ron shouted, leaping down from Aerodactyl's back and landing heavily on the ground.

"Dad, we're just sparring," Mewtwo said in confusion, "Was it too loud?"

Sparring? If this was just sparring, then what would a serious battle look like? Enough to destroy the Earth?

"Alright, go on, I'll watch," Ron sighed, sitting cross-legged on the ground to observe how exactly these two planned to spar.

Mewtwo nodded, swirling its spoon a few times before thrusting it toward Celebi. Celebi instantly vanished from its position, avoiding the strike and sending countless Future Sight orbs into the void.

If there was one move that perfectly matched Celebi, it was definitely Future Sight. Not only did it deal high damage, but for Celebi, who freely traveled through time, predicting an opponent's next move was incredibly simple.

Mewtwo furrowed its brows, instantly gathering a massive amount of cold energy onto the spoon, stabbing forward to shoot a spear of ice toward Celebi.

However, several Future Sight orbs emerged from the void, smashing the icy spear into fragments. Immediately afterward, more psychic spheres appeared, striking at Mewtwo from every direction.

Mewtwo rapidly spun its spoon, defending against the barrage. Although each sphere created only minor explosions upon contact, they still inflicted damage upon Mewtwo.

Once the psychic orbs subsided, Mewtwo used Recover, healing instantly. It then fired its own barrage of psychic orbs into the void.

Celebi chuckled softly, emitting rays of energy toward Mewtwo, trapping it within multiple light rings—Heal Block! Now Mewtwo was prevented from recovering its health.

Celebi crossed its arms in front of its chest, then swiftly pushed forward, scattering multiple Shadow Balls toward Mewtwo.

Mewtwo instantly teleported behind Celebi, raising its spoon high for a powerful strike.

"Enough!" Ron called out urgently. "Aerodactyl, separate them using Stone Edge!"

Aerodactyl roared fiercely, launching two rows of sharp stones toward Celebi and Mewtwo. Mewtwo shattered the stones effortlessly with a swing of its spoon while unleashing numerous psychic orbs at Celebi. Celebi countered immediately, as countless psychic spheres appeared from the void, colliding explosively with Mewtwo's attack. A massive Shadow Ball from Celebi shattered the remaining Stone Edge stones.

"Finally stopped it," Ron thought in relief. But noticing Aerodactyl, he realized it must have also begun to touch upon its own Origin Power; otherwise, it wouldn't have been able to withstand attacks from two Legendary Pokémon. Although Celebi and Mewtwo hadn't yet fully matured, according to the system's updated information, both were already officially classified as Legendaries.
