Blair's Betrayal

Blair's POV

My world crumbled as the sound of muffled voices and soft laughter seeped through the wooden door.

My heart raced like a horse in a haste, as I heard the sounds of these seemingly muffled voices.

My fears were seemingly coming to reality.

I then planted my ears against the wooden door as I tried to understand what was going on inside the room.

"Jayce," a woman's voice, sweet and laced with affection, whispered. "I love you."

Jayce's response was a low chuckle, followed by a tender murmur. My breath hitched in my throat.

It was Anabelle, my own blood sister, the woman who had always been the sun around which Jayce's world revolved. She abandoned me to follow other hot guys and basically I was an orphan.

Now that Jayce became an alpha she came back to seduce him.

A feeling of bitterness washed over Me.

Today was our anniversary, a day I had anticipated with a mixture of hope and happiness.

I had prepared a gift, a small envelope holding a secret that could potentially change everything. It was a secret I had been longing to share, a secret that I hoped would finally ignite a spark of love in Jayce's cold eyes.

But now, as I stood outside their bedroom door, the reality of their loveless marriage crashed over me.

Jayce had always been distant, hard, and emotionally unavailable.

His love for me never existed.

Tears escaped my eyes as my heart was shattered into a million pieces, Jayce was a hard hearted person.

I was pregnant, carrying Jayce's child, a symbol of our mateship, yet I felt more alone than ever.

My fingers traced the outline of the door and I made a desperate attempt to leave and forgive him for what I heard.

The wood was cold and hard, and that was not what I needed at the time.

My vision blurred with tears as I replayed the words she had overheard.

"I will marry you, Jayce. I love you," Anabelle had said, her voice filled with a joy I had never known.

Jayce's laughter, a sound I rarely heard, was like a dagger piercing my heart. He had found love, a love that he had kept away from me for years.

My hands trembled as fear gripped me tightly and my hands traced the door, as I tried to summon the courage to face the beasts that reside within.

'Life has revealed it's deadly blade at me and I may face it's willing slash.' I thought with sadness in her heart.

I heaved a sigh and opened the door as the air of realization hit me hard.

As I opened the door,I saw Jayce and Anabelle, their reaction was rather one of surprise and a stern gaze of anger.

Annabelle's anger was evident on her face as she stared at Me

"What the hell do you want Blair?" She spat in anger.

It didn't take long before fear hit me like a moving train.

"I...I... He.. heard.. something.." I struggled to speak.

Jayce stepped forward, his face was as hard as stone.

"Why are you here Blair?" He asked me in anger.

Tears ran down my cheek as the husband I once loved was now, a complete stranger before my eyes.

He was now a stranger with an icy tone and a bold defence for his wrongdoings.

My voice trembled as I forced the words out,

"I heard everything." My eyes, swollen and red, met Jayce's cold gaze. I felt a surge of anger, a fire igniting within me. How could he be so heartless? So cruel?

Annabelle, sensing an opportunity to humiliate me, smirked. "Oh, so you've been eavesdropping? How pathetic."

I ignored her, my focus solely on Jayce. "You're going to marry her? On our anniversary?" The words tasted like ashes in her mouth.

Jayce's expression remained stiff, as if he were discussing the weather. "Correct," he replied, his voice was very dry. "I never loved you, Blair. You were a convenient replacement."

I felt completely hopeless and pain permeated into my soul.

My hope was gone in our union leaving hopeless and graceless.

"You were my Luna, a title you never deserved," Jayce continued, his voice laced with contempt. "You were a pawn in my father's game."

It was over for me as I felt that the man before me never actually loved me.

I looked into his eyes and heaved a sigh as I held up the envelope as my fingers trembled. "I'm pregnant."

The room fell silent. Jayce's eyes widened in shock, while my face molded into a mask of anger.

"You're lying," Anabelle spat, her voice shrill.

I shook my head. "I'm not. This is the result of the night you made me a woman."

Jayce's gaze shifted between me and the envelope, his face mixed with different emotions. Desire, fear, and anger was within him.

"Lies!" He hollered at me.

"Oh is that so?" I asked him.

"Why don't you check it yourself?" I asked as I handed the envelope to him.

My sister looked at me with deep seated anger and took the envelope from me, only to have her mind blown away.

"It's true!" She uttered in shock.

It didn't take long before my now cheating husband snatched the envelope my hands. His hands shook as he read the report. A silent war raged within him

He wanted this child to be a part of his life, but he also wanted Anabelle. He had to choose.

He was now in a snare of his own creation.

"You think you can hold me down with a child?" He hollered with anger.

It didn't take long before he gripped my tender throat.

Fear gripped me as I couldn't look at him in the face and his iron grip on my throat was too strong.

"No... . I...c.. can't." I managed to utter as he squeezed my throat.

Jayce's grip tightened, and I felt a sharp pain in my chest. My vision blurred as I fought to stay conscious.

"Push the stupid girl down the stairs. Let her go down so we can be together without always having to hide," Anabelle said to Jayce.

"If I push her down and she dies now, do you not think they will investigate me? And I do not want that," Jayce replied Anabelle with evil in his voice.

"Push her down! My father is an alpha too, I will back you up, do not be scared," Anabelle continued to add, giving Jayce confidence.

"No! I cannot do that but I know what to do."

"Okay, so what's the plan? What do you want to do?" Anabelle asked Jayce curiously.

"If I cannot take her down, I will kill that rubbish she has in her belly," Jayce said with contempt in his voice.

"Good!"

Before I knew it someone or something hit me on the floor with force.

I could hear Anabelle laughing, but the sound seemed distant and muffled.

Then everything went black...
