Blair's POV
There was a very strong smell of hospital medication that came into my nose. It was irritating. I shook my head to chase the scent away but it still came. Due to frustration, I opened my eyes.
I saw myself as I was looking at walls that were not familiar to the ones I was used to. "Where could this be?" I asked myself as I looked around. Something was making noise. I looked around and saw a drip on me. I was attached to it with a life support machine.
"I'm in the hospital," I slowly said as I forced myself to sit up. Then the doctor opened the door and came in.
"Blair, thank goodness you are awake. I hope you are now better?" She asked and walked up to me.
"Doctor Keri," I said to her, happy to recognise her. She was our pack's doctor. She was the one that tested and told me about my pregnancy. She placed the back of her hand over my neck and asked me to lay down and sleep for sometime.
"You fell very hard and lost a lot of blood in the process. You'll be okay, you need some rest," the doctor suggested and I relaxed back when I heard what she said about me losing blood and I suddenly asked about the baby in my belly.
"Is it okay?"
Doctor Keri stared at me and was quiet. Her expression on her face scared me and she said with sadness in her face, "I'm sorry, Blair, we could not save the baby."
"What! I hope this is a lie,"I screamed and my heart was already beating.
She had to sit me down and tell me how the hard fall cause a miscarriage that killed the baby immediately.
"I know it's heartbreaking to you, Blair, even though your husband was shocked at this news, he left in sadness. I am sorry," she apologized to me while patting my back.
When the doctor said Jayce's name, my mind flashed back to the scene where I fell and I remembered his face and he was smiling. He looked very happy.
I held the wall and used the other hand to rub my belly, as I tried to feel the spot where my baby always kicked. That was all the hope I had, now it had gone, all gone. My lips were shaking and my eyes started to fill with tears.
Doctor Keri tried to calm me down. I did as she ordered me to and I took some rest for the few hours I had before being discharged. According to her, Jayce did not want me to stay there for a long time. He wanted me to come home so that he could care for me.
"You will need him to help you not feel pain." She left as soon as she said the words and I was left alone to cope with the pain.
Despite the fact that I was an orphan, his father received me, cherished me and made me his son's Luna. Before he died, he made me promise on his deathbed to always be by his son's side. I was beginning to wish I never agreed to his promise. I regretted it so much.
Soon, my stay at the hospital was over and Jayce's bodyguard came to pick me up. Despite not being very strong, I followed him to the pack house. I saw Serena and Jayce waiting for me. Both of them were standing at the entrance, and they looked at me with mockery and contempt in their eyes.
They asked what the doctor had said and when I said nothing, Serena laughed and talked about my dead child. "That bastard got dealt with the right way," she said, laughing and mocking me.
My heart was beating very fast when she insulted my dead child. I wanted to fight her but I was too weak.
"See this," Jayce said as he threw a piece of paper at my face. "You know that these are the divorce papers. I want you to sign them."
Shivers began to shake through my blood when I heard what Jayce had said. I looked at him and he gave me a hard stare.
"So after everything this is how I am rewarded?" I asked as I began to cry
After everything I went through in Jayce's hands, it was time that I left him for good. I took a pen and was about to sign when something weird happened.
"Don't you dare sign those papers Blair!" A harsh female voice yelled at me and it made me fear in my heart.
I stood up on my feet to look for who was speaking.
"Who could that be?" I asked and I shook where I was and turned around.
The moment my eyes looked at the mirror, I saw a pair of white eyes looking at me. I almost shook because I was scared and I yelled loudly, my belly shaking and my body in fear as the white eyes caused some kind of pain.
When I had the boldness to look at it again, I was shocked at what I saw. It was a big white wolf staring at me.
It later smiled and said in a nice voice, "do not sign it Blair, that is not your destiny."
Its eyes were shining brighter. I was scared of the presence of his magnificent creature in this room. Its aura was shiny and its eyes were white enough to blind someone and make them think of wolf heaven.
Who was this and why were its eyes white like that?
I heaved a sigh as I wondered what the heck that wolf actually was.
