"What? How come she gets to talk to her?" their voices buzzed, but at this point I didn't care, I was still speechless.
"I never got your name." Avery smiled.
"Nabie Reigns." I barely replied at my normal tone, and just when I thought nothing could destroy my happy moment, I saw three people walking our way.
Andrew, Nathan, and Ivy, not to forget her minions.
Gosh, the spoilt kids. I nearly barfed at the thought, and as they walked by, Ivy snickered.
What was it for exactly? It wasn't something I should have to put my mind on was it?
"Who are they?"
"More importantly, what are you doing here." I diverted into another question immediately.
"My father and I just move into town… so I thought I might as well just school here."
I nodded my head in an understanding way, but then stopped and took a glance at her body guards.
"Would they be with you all the time?"
"who? Jim and Jimmy?" She said, her British accent now sounding more.
Jim and Jimmy huh? I thought.
Eshe… they were one heck of a twins. I thought while rubbing the back of my.
"Now that I've given you your answer, why don't you give me mine."
Huh? Ah, right.
"How about I show you around?"

Andrew paced back and forth, his fists clenched at his sides. "I asked her first."
Nathan scoffed, arms crossed. "No, you didn't. I did. Just because you hesitated doesn't mean you get a second chance."
Their argument had been going on for nearly twenty minutes, and Ivy, who had been sitting between them at the café, had finally had enough. She let out an exaggerated sigh and leaned back in her chair.
"Boys," she said, tapping her nails against the table. "You do realize I'm sitting right here, don't you?"
Both turned to her, equally determined, equally stubborn.
"Ivy, you have to choose," Andrew pressed, his brown eyes fixed on her.
Nathan leaned forward. "Yeah, you can't just let this drag on forever."
Ivy exhaled through her nose, her fingers drumming against her chin as she smirked. "You're both acting like kids fighting over a toy."
"I'm no kid," Andrew shot back.
"Neither am I," Nathan added.
She chuckled, shaking her head. "Fine, if you both want to take me out so badly, let's make it interesting. We'll do a duo date."
Andrew blinked. "A… what now?"
Nathan raised an eyebrow. "That sounds like a disaster."
Ivy shrugged. "It's fair. You both get a shot. And who knows? Maybe I'll enjoy the company of two gentlemen rather than one."
Silence stretched between them.
Andrew sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "If that's what you want."
Nathan hesitated but eventually nodded. "Fine. But don't think I'll go easy on you, Andrew."
Andrew smirked. "Same goes for you."
Ivy beamed. "Good. Then it's a date."

The restaurant was elegant, dimly lit with golden chandeliers casting a soft glow over the tables. It was the kind of place where the scent of freshly baked bread and expensive wine lingered in the air. One I could barely afford.
I stepped through the doors, my eyes scanning the room. My heart skipped a beat when i spotted Andrew and Nathan sitting at a booth near the window, both looking ridiculously sharp in their semi-formal outfits.
I hesitated. I hadn't been expecting both of them.
Before i could process my thoughts, Ivy waltzed in behind me, a confident smile on her lips. As if on cue, Andrew and Nathan both stood, their eyes lighting up as they caught sight of Ivy.
I swallowed. Something felt… off.
Then, just as I was about to move toward them, the lights flickered.
A hush fell over the restaurant. The chandeliers swayed slightly, their glow dimming for just a second—barely enough for most people to notice.
But I noticed.
And the uneasy feeling in my gut only grew stronger!
