A chuckle slipped my lips.
"So now you run to her?" I looked at Courtney, and Ivy stepped in front of my gaze.
"I never said you could look away."
"huh? We're you meant to?" At my words Ivy squeezed her fists, I could tell she was trying her best not to pounce on me.
"look, you spilled my food, the best you can say is sorry."
"Sorry?" She laughed, and Avery took my hand.
"Let's go, there's no point in wasting time on them."
Ivy tilted her head.
"Ah… the new girl, Avery hummingbird, right?" Avery turned, her attention now piqued.
"And you must be, Ivy Min-sung?" She said.
"Wow, I'm not even that popular, yet an idol such as yourself knows about me?"
Avery clicked her tongue.
"Well, you see you are popular… I've heard quite a few about…" Ivy smiled. "But not in good words, some says you're a bitch? Is that correct? You do display the attitude." Ivy's smiled dropped, and she scoffed.
"Mummy and Daddy's money won't save you."
"Oh… but I work for mine, unfortunately your too lazy to do that, so you feed of them… MUMMY AND DADDY." I couldn't help but watch the clashing that was going on between them, Ivy was being pushed back, and she didn't even know it.
While on the other hand, Nathan and Andrew stared at her.
She was bold, to have said such things to the queen of the school… not that I couldn't say it back, but…
I pulled my hands out of Avery's, for some reason I felt annoyed, I felt like my spot light was being taken away, I felt pathetic.
"Just leave it."
They were meant to be looking at me… I was the one who was meant to be exchanging words with her, I was the one who was meant to have this, because it was meant to be MY revenge! So why did she keep on butting in?!
"Wha-"
"I said leave it!" I clicked my tongue before turning to leave.
Avery clenched her teeth's, her finger tightening on her tray.
"Ha… looks like your sidekick bailed on you."
I caught glimpse of Hae-in's words, and I couldn't push off the annoyed feeling I had.
As she was chuckling with Ivy and Courtney, I raced back at her, and threw the hardest punch I could give.
"Ah!" She Whimpered in pain as she fell to the floor.
I was still huffing, my hands balled, and my eyes ragging, Ivy looked back at Hae-in on the floor, her eyes wide at my sudden action.
"Ha, guts alright." Courtney helped her back to her feet, before things could escalate, one of the teachers cleared her throats, making to commotion to come to an end.
Unfortunately, she had came in right when I hit Hae-in, and that was all she needed to send me to the principal's office.
"Nabie Reigns… Ms. Beak informed me that you had hit a student, out of… anger?"
"Is that what she told you? She wasn't even there when Hae-in had began her trash-talking."
"Even still… laying hands on a student, just because their words hurt you, doesn't mean you have to hit them."
I looked down, my hand now fidgeting.
"Your right…"
"Ms. Reigns… what do you have to say about this."
One more information I had forgotten to give, he had called Charlotte, and sung park.
She shook her head.
"Nabie could have never done such like that… she not, that violent." Charlotte said between gritted teeth's as she turned to me, and I could tell she was upset.
"I'd say, your child doesn't know how to keep her temper."
"And what's that meant to mean?" Charlotte arched her brows, and I could only but sink even further into my seat.
I was sick and tired of such pointless arguments, what did I benefit from it? A whole lot of scolding.
My eyes closed, and it felt like an hour had passed. By the time I opened my eyes again, Charlotte was already getting up to leave.
"Are we done yet?" I got up and followed suit..
I could tell she was upset… because throughout the ride home, she didn't say a word.
"Mother…" I looked down, unable to meet her gaze.
And instead of a head full of shouting, I felt the warm embrace of her hug.
Her breath shuddered, and her arms tightened.
"Nabie... I need you to promise me something... Can you do that?" Her voice was weak and frail, nearly as if she was going to break at any given moment.
"Sure." I replied, now holding back onto her.
"Promise me that you'd never bring up another fight again." Her face seemed pale, tears at her eyes, and her body still trembling.
I didn't know what had happened during the time I slept off but... She seemed to have been in fear? Anger? Anxiety? Which was it? Was she... Ashamed?
