A scumbag and a dog

Lu Han hung up the phone, puzzled. What could Su Qingli possibly need to discuss in person so late at night?

"Are you... leaving now?"

Shen Luoyan's voice carried a hint of reluctance as she spoke.

"Yeah, Su Qingli said she's coming to pick me up."

Lu Han sent his location and realized that they had been eating for almost an hour—it was time to go.

Shen Luoyan sighed softly. Su Qingli's call couldn't have come at a worse time; otherwise, she might have managed to keep Lu Han overnight.

"What about... this agreement?"

She hesitated, feeling uneasy without his signature on the document.

"Forget it," Lu Han said, tearing the document with a swift motion. "This is something you worked hard for, and I can't accept it. Besides, you're not a commodity. Transferring shares along with yourself doesn't make sense. If you truly feel guilty, then hold onto it and consider it managing the company for me."

"Alright, I'll do as you say."

Shen Luoyan didn't argue further. Qinhan Entertainment would be the same whether under her or Lu Han's control. Whenever he wanted it, she'd gladly hand it over.

They chatted for a bit longer before Lu Han received another call from Su Qingli. She was already downstairs in less than twenty minutes—she moved quickly.

Seeing Lu Han stand up to leave, Shen Luoyan bit her lip and stepped forward, gently hugging him from behind.

Lu Han stiffened slightly. "Shen Luoyan, what's lost is lost. No matter what, we can't go back to how things were."

"I don't expect to go back to the past."

Shen Luoyan whispered dreamily, "Honestly, I'm easily satisfied now. Just having a small place in your heart and spending some time with me occasionally would be enough."

Lu Han chuckled. "What kind of arrangement is that? You want me to be a playboy?"

It wasn't entirely out of the question. Lu Han thought about his contract marriage with Su Qingli. Why should he abstain while she remained chaste?

The thought of Shen Luoyan being with someone else made him uncomfortable, as if something belonging to him was taken away. He wasn't that generous.

At the core, Shen Luoyan was fundamentally different from Chu Ruoyan, which was why Lu Han subconsciously accepted her again.

Better to benefit himself than others.

Considering Shen Luoyan had searched for him for five years and even tattooed his name on her body, it was hard not to be moved.

"Why not?"

Sensing the softening in Lu Han's tone, Shen Luoyan quickly added, "Just one time, please? I promise I'll be obedient and sweet."

When a woman was this persistent, there was no point in beating around the bush. Lu Han didn't want to be overly sentimental and smiled, "We'll see how you perform. If you meet my expectations, it's not impossible."

After saying that, Lu Han felt a bit like he was turning into a player, learning manipulation tactics.

Shen Luoyan's eyes sparkled with joy. "Okay, from now on, I'm your loyal fan."

A billionaire beauty CEO as his loyal fan? It sounded quite appealing.

Lu Han found it amusing and teased, "Be careful, you might end up with nothing."

"No, I won't."

Shen Luoyan nuzzled against his back, whispering, "Without you, I really have nothing."

They stood quietly for a moment, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Finally, Shen Luoyan reluctantly let go and watched him walk away until his figure disappeared. Closing the door, she couldn't contain her emotions any longer and broke into tears of joy.

Five years of persistence and agony had finally paid off. Shen Luoyan felt it was all worth it.

Lu Han exited the building and saw Su Qingli leaning against her car door, waiting for him.

As he approached, he asked, "What's so urgent that you had to come here in person?"

"Let's talk in the car."

Su Qingli opened the car door for him, wrinkling her nose slightly, detecting a faint scent of perfume.

Clearly, Lu Han had been in close contact with Shen Luoyan, though she didn't know how intimate it had been.

Feeling a pang of jealousy, Su Qingli couldn't openly accuse him. After all, their relationship was contractual, and criticizing him would only push him away.

In dramas, jealous wives always ended up losing their husbands to other women.

Starting the car, Su Qingli began, "I just wanted to discuss whether we could live somewhere other than the Lu family estate after we get married. It feels too oppressive there, and I'm afraid I won't adapt. Plus, it might expose our arrangement."

This idea had just occurred to her on the drive over. Previously, she had been focused on preventing Lu Han from getting closer to Shen Luoyan. Coming up with a reasonable excuse had taken considerable effort.

Being a woman was tough, but pretending not to care when you genuinely liked someone was even harder.

Though the excuse was a bit weak, Su Qingli truly intended to move out. Facing someone as shrewd as Lu Zhensheng was overwhelming. And Lu Ming, despite his polished appearance, seemed untrustworthy.

Most importantly, living separately would give them privacy and allow their relationship to develop naturally.

Lu Han had no idea what Su Qingli was thinking and laughed incredulously, "You came all the way here just for this?"

Living arrangements weren't a big deal, especially since they hadn't even gotten engaged yet. Wasn't it too early to discuss this?

"Hey, isn't this a significant issue?" Su Qingli protested. "If you agree, we need time to look for a house, design, and renovate. You might be taking it easy, but I'll be doing all the work."

"Fine, if you want to move out, go ahead."

Lu Han shrugged. "But you didn't need to come in person for this. A phone call would've sufficed."

"And your Su Corporation specializes in real estate. Finding a house shouldn't be a problem."

"As for design and renovation, you don't need my input. Do whatever you like; I won't complain."

Hearing Lu Han's hands-off attitude, Su Qingli felt more frustrated and muttered, "Dog man, pushing everything onto me."

Realizing she had inadvertently used her nickname for him, Su Qingli blushed deeply.

"Daring to call me a dog?"

Lu Han pinched her cheek lightly, half-jokingly. "Aren't you afraid I'll get angry and turn you into a dog?"
