The morning light streamed through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Lee stirred first, her body feeling unusually warm. It took a moment for her to realize why—Gen's arms were wrapped around her, holding her close.
Lee blinked, her mind still hazy from sleep. Last night…
Her cheeks burned as she recalled everything. She turned slightly to glance at Gen, who was still fast asleep, a satisfied smile on her lips.
Lee sighed. Of course, she'd sleep like a baby after all that.
She tried to move, but the moment she did, Gen groaned and pulled her back.
"Where are you going?" Gen mumbled, her voice raspy from sleep.
Lee stilled. "Bathroom."
Gen tightened her grip. "Five more minutes."
Lee sighed. "Gen—"
Gen nuzzled into her neck. "Mmm, you smell nice…"
Lee's face turned even redder. "Let go."
Gen smirked against her skin. "Why? Embarrassed?"
Lee turned her head away. "No."
Gen chuckled, but she finally loosened her grip, allowing Lee to slip out of bed. As Lee stood, she stretched, feeling a dull ache in her body. She shot Gen a glare.
Gen propped herself up on one elbow, watching her with amusement. "Feeling sore?"
Lee ignored her and headed to the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.
Gen laughed softly to herself, stretching lazily. "Totally worth it."
Breakfast and Teasing
By the time Lee came out, dressed and composed, Gen was already in the kitchen, cooking. She turned with a bright grin.
"Morning, wifey!"
Lee ignored her and sat at the table. "Stop calling me that."
Gen placed a plate in front of her. "After last night? Nope. You're officially stuck with me."
Lee picked up her fork, trying to act indifferent. "I regret everything."
Gen leaned in close. "Liar."
Lee's ears turned pink, but she refused to respond.
Gen chuckled, sitting across from her. "So… round two?"
Lee nearly choked on her food. "No!"
Gen laughed, reaching over to steal a piece of her toast. "Fine, fine. But don't be surprised if I don't keep my hands to myself."
Lee covered her face with one hand. This woman is going to be the death of me.
