After breaking the news to Wang Yan, Lee and Gen knew there were still more people who deserved to know the truth—Lee's friends and Nam. They had always been there for them, and now, with everything changing, it was time to share the full story.
Visiting the USA – Meeting Lee's Friends
A week later, Lee and Gen flew to the USA to meet Lee's friends—Kim, Muk, and Adhi. It had been a while since they had all gathered together, and now, with Lee officially resigning as a doctor, it felt like the right time.
The moment they arrived at the café where they planned to meet, Kim was the first to spot them. She waved enthusiastically, causing Muk and Adhi to turn around.
"You two finally decided to visit us, huh?" Muk teased, leaning back in his chair.
Adhi smirked. "What's the occasion? You don't just fly across the world for no reason."
Kim narrowed her eyes. "Wait. You two have been acting suspicious lately… Lee, are you hiding something?"
Lee took a deep breath and looked at Gen, who simply grinned.
Lee sighed. "I have something to tell you all."
The three friends exchanged glances before nodding.
"Well?" Muk leaned forward. "Don't keep us waiting."
Lee hesitated for a moment before finally saying it. "I'm pregnant."
Silence.
Then—
"WHAT?!" Kim nearly choked on her drink. Muk's mouth fell open, and Adhi looked genuinely shocked.
"You're joking, right?" Muk asked, eyes wide. "How—?"
Lee glanced at Gen again, then back at her friends. "It's… complicated."
Kim's gaze sharpened. "Complicated how?"
Gen smirked. "Let's just say I had a little something to do with it."
Adhi frowned. "Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying… you two…" He trailed off, looking utterly confused.
Kim, however, was quicker. She studied Gen, then Lee, then back at Gen. "No way… Are you saying this has something to do with your abilities?"
Lee exhaled. "Yes. Gen's abilities… they didn't just disappear. They transferred into creating a new life—our baby."
Muk looked between them. "That's insane."
Adhi blinked. "Wait, does that mean—?"
Kim smacked his arm. "Focus! This is serious." She then turned back to Lee. "And you? You're okay with this?"
Lee smiled. "I am. We are. It's crazy, but it's real."
Kim was silent for a long moment before finally sighing. "Well… I guess this just proves that life with Gen is never boring."
Gen chuckled. "Glad you think so."
Muk shook his head. "So, let me get this straight. You're having a baby, Gen lost her powers because of it, and now you're both here to tell us… what? That you're settling down?"
Lee nodded. "I've officially resigned as a doctor. We're planning to settle in Seoul and focus on our business."
Kim smirked. "Wow. Who would've thought? Lee, the responsible business owner, and Gen, the troublemaker turned parent."
Gen grinned. "Admit it, you're impressed."
Kim rolled her eyes. "I'm concerned."
Adhi chuckled. "Well, whatever happens, you know we're here for you."
Muk nodded. "Yeah. Just don't expect me to babysit."
Gen laughed. "Too late, you're all honorary aunts and uncles now."
Telling Nam and the Park Family
After returning from the USA, Gen knew it was time to inform Nam and her family. Nam had been her best friend for years, and if there was anyone who needed to know the truth, it was her.
One evening, Gen and Lee visited Nam's house, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Park, were also present.
The moment they sat down, Nam arched an eyebrow. "You two look suspicious."
Mr. Park chuckled. "Trouble as always, Gen?"
Mrs. Park smiled warmly. "What brings you two here?"
Gen smirked. "Well… we have some news."
Nam's expression changed slightly. "You're serious?"
Lee nodded. "I'm pregnant."
Nam blinked. "Wait… what?"
Mr. Park's eyes widened. "That's… unexpected."
Mrs. Park gasped, covering her mouth in shock. "Oh my goodness! That's wonderful news!"
Nam, however, was still trying to process. "Hold on, hold on. How?"
Gen exhaled. "Nam, there's something I never told you."
Nam crossed her arms. "Oh, this should be good."
Gen leaned forward. "I had abilities."
Nam frowned. "Had?"
Lee explained, "She could fly, see the future, and hear thoughts."
Mr. Park chuckled. "Sounds like something Gen would claim."
Mrs. Park, however, seemed intrigued. "And what happened to these abilities?"
Gen smirked. "They transferred into making this little one." She motioned toward Lee's stomach.
Nam stared at them, then burst out laughing. "You're serious?"
Lee nodded.
Nam's laughter faded. "Wait. You're serious?"
Gen nodded. "Yup."
Mr. Park shook his head in disbelief. "Well… I don't know what to say."
Mrs. Park, however, smiled warmly. "Regardless of how it happened, a baby is a blessing."
Nam finally sighed. "Okay. I don't fully get it, but… congrats, I guess?"
Gen grinned. "Thanks, bestie."
Nam rolled her eyes. "You're still an idiot."
Gen smirked. "And you're still stuck with me."
Nam sighed dramatically. "Lucky Me"
