Vivienne felt both heartbroken and furious. She forcefully pulled Brent back to her side, scrutinizing the woman before her who exuded an intimidating aura.

"Miss Everhart, this is Los Angeles. Surely you understand the saying 'the hawk must not defy the nesting fox."

"Moreover, I, Ms. Stratton, have never offended the Everhart family. It was Miss Everhart who stole my fiancé and hurt me first. Don't you think you owe me a reasonable explanation?"

Vania raised an eyebrow, her eyes as dark as ink.

"Since when did I know that my dear brother was going to marry you? You think you're worthy of joining our Everhart family?"

Vivienne couldn't hide the shock on her face. She remembered that I had never mentioned my family to her.

Whenever she asked, I would just brush it off, saying my family couldn't be involved.

She couldn't help but mutter under her breath,
