"Catch him!"
Vivienne's enraged voice echoed behind me, accompanied by countless footsteps.
My heart was pounding violently.
Darkness enveloped me, I couldn't see a thing, but I didn't dare stop. My only chance of survival was to keep running forward with all my might.
Suddenly, I crashed into a warm embrace. A familiar, anxious female voice came from above,
"Everett!"
It was my big sister, Vania.
I immediately went limp, unable to stand, and collapsed completely into her arms.
Seeing my pale, bloodless face, Vania reached out to caress my cheek, her voice trembling almost imperceptibly.
"Everett, how did you end up like this? Where have you been all these years... Big sis has finally found you."
A glistening tear fell on my face. I reached out, wanting to wipe away her tears.
But I didn't know where her face was.
