Love at last.

Both Henry and Irene wept deeply, Irene went down on her knees and was trying to find the perfect words to say back to him and Henry on his part was feeling broken, all over again, talking about all his past experiences. "I...was....."Henry did not allow Irene to continue with what she was going to say and he shut her up immediately. Henry continued " Because of you, I spent years in the hospital, only to get better and return back with a different face, I spent my life there while my father was going through a hard time all alone until he eventually gave up and has gone to be with the Lord, I have been through so much, Irene.

I got lost, I've been wounded and I'm just bathered and shattered. Why did you ruin me, Irene?"

" You are going to pay for everything, Irene." Henry added.

He was sobbing even more at this point, then he left the room, through the door, and instructed spider to lock it properly and make sure she does not find her way out, he would be held responsible if Irene disappeared.

Irene cried hard and loud, at this point, her whole body felt extremely sick from just crying, her eyeballs looked so swollen and hurt, she felt so terrible about herself when the real Oscar narrated his ordeal about her, he definitely wasn't wrong. But how was she going to explain why she acted rashly back then? How was she going to explain her husband's passing, the loss of her unborn baby and how the hurt made her a stern person as she moved forward, the reason she cared less about others and was quick to dismiss workers who did the wrong thing? She has had her own fair share of pain and he has gone through same, how can she get through to him so he'll try to understand her own side of the story, she has been trying so hard to get better with her attitude too and improve personally.

The clock was ticking fast and time was passing, yet Irene didn't feel any better, she just needed something to calm her down or distract her, so she called out to spider and told him she was hungry, aside from the yam she ate yesterday, he gave her nothing the following day until she asked and interestingly, the same yam was what he still brought. Irene was hungry as much as she was sad, she ate just fine without anyone forcing her to do so.

Well, she didn't know her fate with Oscar so she started looking for ways to try and escape and possibly get a cover to protect her from him or fix their misunderstanding. To run off from where she was locked was going to be tough, just the thought of missing her way and maybe running into spider freaks her out, that guy is such a crazy fellow and she does not wish to cross paths with him for any reason at all.

She had finally made up her mind to leave at midnight, with so many hectic trials of loosing the strong rope on her hand, she finally got it right after three good hours, the universe seemed to have favored her because spider and every other person in the house was fast asleep as she silently and speedily made her way out of the house, she ran as fast as her legs could take her and did not bother to look back.

For some reason, she sensed that making peace with Oscar would be the perfect option, she felt so much compassion for him and she wanted to make great amends. Irene was able to locate Oscar's house that same night, she did not give room for any delay or procrastination. She got there, she knelt down with tears on her face and begged him to listen to her just once and take whatsoever decisions he wanted thereafter, even if it was life imprisonment, she was so ready but all she needed first was a chance for her to be listened to. She apologized for running off from where she was held captive, and she was granted the opportunity to speak. " Oscar, I feel so bad you went through all that and I know I cannot undo all that happened or sufficiently pay for all you went through, no excuse or explanation will be enough either. I admit that I'm not much of a good person, I lost my husband years back, he had a very fatal accident and he died at the spot and we were not even up to a year in marriage yet, I felt like my life had ended, I was down, I was broken, I was deeply wounded, the worst was when I miscarried because of the trauma from his passing, maybe if my baby had stayed strong to full term just so he or she could be with me, I wouldn't have been left alone but I was actually left alone in this cruel world,I won't even bore you with other details of alot that happened but after struggling and mourning for years, I was able to find peace and move on, it was then that i started my company and you came to work for me, i thought i moved on but maybe I didn't because I realized I was hostile to you and the rest of my staff, I did not really care so much about any one, I don't go about telling people about the pain I'm trying to heal from, that is why you also have never heard about this story too, I may smile and act like all is fine but deep down, there's a hard pain I'm struggling with every passing day, From the deepest corner of my heart, I sincerely do apologize for everything and I hope you can truly forgive me, by all means, I will get better, I am working so hard on myself".

Oscar rushed immediately and gave her a very passionate hug, they both cried silently and he forgave her, he was sorry too because he never knew about all she had been through before.

Slowly they both kissed and had a good moment, Oscar had always been in love with her too but he had to stand firm to be able to focus on his main assignment of seeking revenge. They stayed up for the rest of that night, they both gisted about so many things together and eventually their relationship blossomed and moved to another level. Irene was so comfortable with him that she even made jest of his facial surgery, she said he looked so much better and handsome now and was a little bit ugly before when he worked for her, she teased him even more to please come back and work for her, only is he was jobless at the moment because it would be a pleasant sight to have such handsome figure in her space.Irene couldn't help but confess to him about how she fell in love with him the very first time she set her eyes on him again, how her love grew and how she fought her feelings the moment she started having doubts and suspicions about his personality,they laughed and their catch up with each other was so adorable. At the long run, spider also had a lot of apologizing towards Irene, she forgave him for the hard slap and they both got along so well. It was Love at first or not Love, but Love now. Irene became a best version of herself, Oscar was a perfectly perfect gentleman and great lover, he supported Irene and loved her hard, in the best way.
