Chapter 4: Another New Task

Davis casually walked down to the Sky Pavilion parking area. He pulled the car key from his pocket and pressed the button.

[BIP BIP]

The headlights of a car in the distance blinked twice, confirming the location of his vehicle. Davis smiled slightly and pressed the button again to make sure.

[BIP BIP]

The headlights blinked again. Davis approached the car with an expression of admiration. In front of him stood a gleaming Lamborghini Aventador under the parking lights.

"Woah... this car is so cool," he murmured, touching the car's body with the tip of his finger. The cold, smooth touch made him feel like he was touching a priceless piece of art.

Carefully, Davis pulled the door handle, and a soft click echoed as it opened. As he sat in the driver's seat, the elegant interior with a glossy black finish welcomed him. The scent of genuine leather filled the cabin. Davis sat in the comfortable seat, feeling its softness.

He pressed the power button, and the engine immediately roared loudly, echoing sharply.

VROOOOM!

The sound of the exhaust rumbled, making Davis's heart race. He pressed the gas pedal, and the roar of the engine grew louder.

"Life of the rich is truly different," he thought, smiling contently.

Davis turned on the music from the car's luxurious audio system and started driving. The luxury car glided smoothly through the city streets, cruising down Ahmad Yani Road, which was beginning to get crowded with cars.

A gentle evening breeze blew, carrying the scent of the city as people headed home from work and children rushed to get home from school.

But suddenly...

Ding... A new task was triggered.

[Help a lost grandmother.]

[Penalty: Lose a leg for not helping someone in need.]

Davis blinked. "Damn, this system is ruthless!" he muttered to himself. However, a smile appeared on his face. "Even if you don't give me tasks, I will still help... just like what Dad and Mom always told me."

His thoughts drifted to his childhood memories. His father's wise words echoed in his ears: "Remember, son, even if we are poor, never be arrogant, and always help those in need. If you can't help with money, help with your strength. If you can't help with strength, then pray for them."

He gently patted his chest. "Dad, Mom... may you rest in peace in heaven."

With strong determination, Davis pulled over to the side of the road. He got out and started scanning the surroundings. His eyes immediately fell on an old grandmother sitting and crying on a bench in the park, not far from where he stood.

Davis walked closer, his voice soft as he spoke, "May I sit here, Grandma?"

The old woman sobbed, then nodded gently. "Please, dear."

Davis sat beside the old woman and took out a tissue from his pocket, handing it to her with a warm smile. "Here, Grandma... don't cry anymore."

The old woman accepted the tissue with trembling hands and began wiping away her tears. Her sobs slowly subsided. Davis waited until the atmosphere calmed before asking, "What happened, Grandma? Can I help with anything?"

The old woman sighed deeply. "I'm lost... I forgot the way home."

"Did you come here with someone, Grandma?" Davis asked softly.

"I was with my granddaughter. We were going to check the hospital. But I got bored waiting in line, so I walked around a bit... but now I forgot how to get back."

"What hospital, Grandma? Maybe I can take you there," Davis offered.

The old woman shook her head in confusion. "I forgot the name... oh, my memory is so bad."

Davis smiled gently. "Then, let me help you find your granddaughter. May I see your ID or any other identification?"

The old woman patted her clothes but shook her head gently. "I left my bag at home... I didn't bring anything with me."

"Hmmm... this will be difficult... alright, let's look for your granddaughter together."

Davis crouched in front of the old woman. "Climb on my back, Grandma. Let me help you walk."

The old woman smiled gratefully. "Thank you, dear. You are so kind."

Carefully, Davis picked the old woman up and started walking down the street.

Elsewhere, a young woman was running frantically, her eyes swollen and her face filled with panic. "Grandma! Graaandma!" she yelled while searching in every direction.

Tears streamed down her face. "Where did Grandma go...? I shouldn't have left her alone..."

She continued walking along the sidewalk near the hospital, hoping to find her missing grandmother.

Meanwhile, Davis suggested stopping by a small food stall. "Are you hungry, Grandma? How about we eat first before continuing the search?"

The old woman's eyes brightened. "Sure... I've been hungry since earlier."

They sat together at the simple stall, and Davis asked the system to locate the nearest hospital.

"System, locate the nearest hospital in this area."

(Ding... Ciputra Mitra Hospital detected within a 2 km radius.)

Davis smiled contentedly. "Alright, after we eat, we'll head there, Grandma."

(Ding... Complimenting the system has earned a reward of 10 million Rupiah. The balance has been added to the account.)

Davis was startled. "Huh? Complimenting it earns a reward? This system is really strange... but thank you!"

The system remained silent, no response. Davis chuckled softly. "Silly shy system."

After finishing their meal, Davis paid using his new ATM card. He then picked up the old woman again and continued their journey toward Ciputra Mitra Hospital.

Not long later, they arrived at the hospital's parking lot. Davis walked slowly, his eyes scanning for the old woman's granddaughter.

"Grandma!"

Davis took out his phone and checked the time, which read 12:30.

"Grandma... Grandma!" A woman's voice shouted from a distance. She ran breathlessly until she reached the old woman, then hugged her tightly while wiping away her tears. "Where have you been, Grandma? I've been searching everywhere."

"Sorry, dear. I was bored waiting, so I walked around for a bit. But then I forgot how to get back here. Luckily, I met this kind young man. Look, he's not only kind but also very handsome," the old woman said, pointing to Davis, who was standing with his back against a supporting pillar.

The woman turned and followed the old woman's gesture, seeing the handsome young man who had helped her again.

"Davis..." she called, walking toward him with a gentle smile.

Davis was surprised to see the familiar face. The soft sensation he had once felt was still fresh in his memory.

"You... Aisya, right? So this grandma... your grandmother?" Davis asked, acting casually.

Aisya nodded. "Yes, this is my grandmother. Thank you so much for helping and taking care of her. You're helping me again, even though I didn't get a chance to treat you yesterday. Now, you can't refuse."

She glanced at her grandmother, ensuring her condition. "But I'll check Grandma's condition first, is that okay?"

Davis nodded casually. "Of course. I'm not busy, just a merchant... well, something like an unemployed guy in an alley," he said with a small smile.

They walked together to the examination room. Along the way, Davis occasionally cracked jokes that made Aisya smile sweetly, a smile as sweet as a ripe mango.

"I'll go in first, okay? Don't run away," Aisya said with a playful grin.

"Okay..." Davis replied while making a gesture with his hand.
