Chapter 5: Accompanied by a Woman

"Sistem, add my intelligence and speed points. Use the available funds; make my intelligence and speed both five."

(Please wait, Host. Be patient. Patience is a virtue.)

1%........ 100% Process complete, intelligence and speed have been added.

"Nice, System. You're amazing. Now, activate the super medical skill," he said.

(Please wait. The process will take a while due to network issues.)

"What..!! Do you actually need a network, System? Don't mess with me!" he said in frustration. A phone call interrupted his annoyance.

"Hello... Good afternoon, Sir. I'm Juli, the Deputy Director of Ciputra Mitra Hospital. I wanted to inform you that I would like to meet you to sign the share transfer documents you acquired."

"Perfect timing. I'm at Ciputra Mitra Hospital right now. Just tell me the place. I'll head there," Zai replied casually. But deep inside, he was so thrilled he felt like jumping off a building out of joy.

Before leaving, Zai informed Aisya via WhatsApp that he had some errands to run.

After that, he noticed two unread notifications on his phone. He clicked on the message from the number that had just called him. "I'll be waiting at Resto KAYOE MANIS near the Hospital," the message read.

Zai pocketed his phone and walked toward the main street. He looked around and saw a motorcycle taxi. He crossed the street and approached the driver, who seemed lost in thought. "Hey, take me to Citra Land Complex, to Resto Kayoe Manis," he said while patting the driver's shoulder.

"Huh... Oh, yeah... I'm the driver," the man snapped out of his daze and handed a helmet to Zai. "For your safety," he said before starting his motorcycle. "Let's go!"

The driver skillfully navigated through the heavy traffic. Minutes later, they arrived at their destination, clearly marked with a signboard that read RM Kayoe Manis.

Zai got off the motorcycle and handed over $100. "Keep the change," he said before heading into the restaurant to look for Juli.

"Just a moment ago, I was worrying about money to buy milk for my crying child, and now I have it. Thank you," the driver kissed the red bill and said, "May he receive blessings many times over for his generosity." He then rode off to the nearest HappyMart to buy milk.

Meanwhile, Zai was already inside the restaurant, unaware of the driver's prayer. He was sitting across from Juli, their hands still shaking. His gaze was fixed on her beauty.

Juli was a woman in her early thirties. Yet, with her well-maintained body and radiant white skin, no one would ever guess her age. Zai wouldn't have known either if the System hadn't scanned the woman before him.

Her full name was Juliana Xiao, of mixed Chinese and Javanese descent. Currently, she served as the General Manager of Ciputra Mitra Hospital, known for her integrity.

"Ahem... Mr. Davis," Juli's voice snapped Davis out of his daze.

Davis immediately released her hand. "I'm sorry, Ms. Juli, I was mesmerized by your beauty," he admitted honestly.

Hearing the simple compliment, Juli's face blushed. It had been a long time since anyone flirted with her, not since her husband passed away five years ago. She had almost forgotten how romantic words sounded.

"Please don't flatter me. We're here for business, not flirting," she replied coldly.

Even without a smile, her face remained beautiful—a natural beauty that needed no cosmetic enhancement.

Juli pulled out some documents for Davis to sign and showed him the required sections.

"I'll leave everything to you, Ms. Juli. I just want to receive the dividends," Davis said, not fully understanding stocks yet.

After completing the transfer process, they parted ways.

Davis pulled out his phone and dialed Aisya's number. After two rings, she answered.

"Hello... Davis," Aisya's voice came from the other side.

"Ai, are you done yet?"

"Just finished. Where are you now?" Aisya asked, stepping out of the examination room.

"I'm waiting for you at the exit," Davis replied.

Moments later, Aisya and Grandma Sofia appeared. Aisya tossed something toward Davis. "Catch!" It was her car keys. "You can drive, right?" she asked.

Davis nodded and pressed the button on the key. A white car beeped in response.

Davis opened the back door for Grandma Sofia. "Where are we heading?" he asked.

"To my house," Aisya replied, then gave him the address in Pesona Modern Complex.

"System, display the GPS route to Pesona Modern."

A blue screen displayed the map to their destination.

A few minutes later, they arrived.

"Please come in... make yourself at home," Grandma Sofia said with a bright smile, thinking her granddaughter might be falling for this young man.

"Okay, Grandma... But if I pawn the house, would that be alright?" Davis joked, laughing. Grandma Sofia gave a wry smile.

Dinner went smoothly.

Under the moonlight, standing in front of house number 2, two souls faced each other.

"Thank you for dinner. I'll be heading home now," Davis started.

"I should be the one thanking you. Are you sure you don't want a ride home? Will you be okay going back alone at this hour?"

"Don't worry, I'm a guy. No woman would kidnap me," he joked before turning to leave.

After a few steps, the sound of running footsteps caught his attention. Davis turned around.

Smooch... A kiss landed on his right cheek. Aisya immediately turned and ran, leaving Davis standing there, stunned.

"Did she just kiss me? Does that mean she likes me?" His heart raced.

This was the first time a woman other than his mother had kissed him.

As he walked away, still replaying the surprise kiss in his head, he muttered, "It's late... I'm too lazy to go back to Sky Pavilion. Should I get a hotel instead?" Then, he remembered his System reward. "Wait, didn't I get a house nearby? System, show me my new house!"

(Ding... House detected. It's on your right, and the key is in your inventory.)

Davis looked to his right and saw a security guard. The number one house in the complex was the best, so of course, it had its own security.

The guard inspected the documents and compared them with his records. "Everything checks out, Young Master. Please, come in," he said, opening the gate.

Inside, Davis explored the house, found a bedroom, took a shower, and changed clothes.

His phone vibrated. He looked at the caller ID.

"Hello... What's up? Missed me already?" Davis teased Aisya.

"Don't get too cocky," Aisya retorted. "Did you get home safely?"

"Yeah. I'm actually right next door to your house... turns out the number one property here belongs to my great uncle's uncle."

"No way! Can I come over?" Aisya laughed.

Ding-dong! The doorbell rang. "Open the door!" Aisya demanded over the phone.

Davis rushed to the door and was stunned by the sight of Aisya in her pajamas—a long-sleeved shirt and tight shorts.

The two guards outside shook their heads, watching the pair.

"Our Young Master is lucky to snag the neighborhood's queen."

"True. So many guys came bearing gifts, only to be turned down. And this is the first time she's visiting a guy at midnight."

"Let's not think about it. We should just order lots of food and keep them safe," his colleague replied, opening a food delivery app and browsing the expensive menus.
