Chapter 13: Galam Resto

Kriiing...!

His phone rang, and Davis quickly answered it.

"Good afternoon, sir. I'm Dikly from Urban Villa management. Congratulations on your new ownership. If you're available, we can arrange a meeting to welcome you."

"Good afternoon, Mr. Dikly. I'm busy at the moment. I'll contact you when I have time," Davis replied before ending the call.

A few seconds later, his phone rang again.

"Good afternoon, sir. I'm from the dealership. We're delivering your new motorcycle. Please share your location."

Davis sent his location. Shortly after, he received a bank notification—his account balance had increased by $1 million.

"Show status," he commanded in his mind.

Davis headed to the swimming pool, took a short swim, and then sat at the edge, enjoying the fading sunset.

Not long after, Mr. Taufik approached from the kitchen door.

"Young Master, the dealership representatives are outside. They need you to sign the delivery documents for your new motorcycle."

Davis stood up, wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist. His body was now more muscular thanks to the Awakening Potion. He walked with the aura of a true boss.

Outside, four dealership staff carefully unloaded the Honda Gold Wing.

"Be careful! This is an expensive bike. You won't be able to replace it if it gets scratched," warned a man in a suit—the dealership manager.

Davis approached and said, "Just park it in the garage. Mr. Taufik, please open the garage."

Hearing Davis's voice, the manager turned around, slightly surprised.

"He's so young…" he thought. He quickly extended his hand, and Davis shook it firmly.

"Mr. Davis, I'm Hery, the manager of Honda. It's an honor to meet you."

"Likewise, Mr. Hery. Thanks for taking the trouble to deliver the bike. Come inside—it's more comfortable to talk there."

After a brief chat, Davis signed the documents and escorted Mr. Hery to the door. Before leaving, Mr. Hery said, "If you ever need another vehicle, don't hesitate to contact me directly."

Once they left, Davis called Mr. Taufik and Mr. Rahman.

"Tomorrow, if you know anyone who can manage this house, bring them here. I need two people to take care of the place. Understood?" he said while handing them five red-colored bills. "Split this between your families."

Without waiting for a reply, Davis went inside.

In his room, he lay down on the plush bed.

"I used to only dream about a life like this when I was living in a shack. Now, I'm actually living it. But I know that being rich doesn't mean living in peace. There's always someone above you. But I won't bow down."

Not long after, his phone rang again.

"Boss, I've arranged the meeting place at G-SIGN Hotel," Handoko said over the phone.

"Alright. Send me the photo!" Davis replied while starting his Honda Gold Wing.

G-SIGN Hotel was one of the best hotels in Banjarmasin, located on Jalan Ahmad Yani KM 4.5. On the first floor was Galam Resto, a restaurant famous for its Sate Maranggi and signature oncom sambal.

Upon arriving, a security guard assisted him with parking. Even though he was on a motorcycle, he was still treated with respect—his bike was no ordinary vehicle.

Davis entered Galam Resto on the M1 floor, looking for someone based on the photo Handoko had sent. But he didn't see anyone matching the image.

He sat facing Ahmad Yani Street, enjoying his Sate Maranggi with a glass of cold mineral water.

Suddenly, the sound of high heels tapping against the floor echoed closer. A soft, pleasant fragrance lingered in the air.

A woman stood near him and asked in a gentle voice,

"Mr. Davis Harold?"

The voice was soft, and the scent teasing his senses was intoxicatingly close. Davis slightly looked up and saw a breathtaking face. A round face with slightly slanted eyes, thick eyebrows, and long lashes.

Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and her thin lips curved into a smile. It was as if a god had personally sculpted her.

Which man wouldn't be captivated by such beauty? If he wasn't, either his eyes were damaged or he had cataracts. Or maybe… he had moved past beauty and was now into handsomeness.

Her figure was slender, with long, fair legs visible under her dark brown mini dress. Luckily, it was only the dress that was old, not the person wearing it.

"Yes… you are…?" Davis pretended not to know, even though he had already seen her photo from Handoko. But in person, she was even more stunning. He was momentarily mesmerized but quickly maintained his composure as a future boss.

"I'm Alisya, sir. Your prospective personal assistant."

She extended her snow-white hand, and Davis shook it before gesturing for her to sit.

Davis signaled the waiter by raising his hand, a code the restaurant staff immediately understood.

"Yes, sir? What can I get for you?" a friendly male waiter asked.

"What do you want to eat, Al?" Davis inquired.

"Whatever you choose, sir…" she answered softly.

"Give her the same as mine," Davis instructed the waiter, who nodded and left.

After the waiter left, silence fell between them.

Davis remained quiet, analyzing the woman in front of him. As for Alisya, she might have been nervous. No one knew what was going through her mind. Maybe she was captivated by Davis's handsomeness.

"So, where did you work before?" Davis finally broke the silence.

"I was a secretary at PT Insan Mulia, sir," she answered briefly.

"Why did you choose to work for me?" Davis asked again while watching the waiter set the food on their table. He nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you."

"Because the salary you offered was very high—twice my previous salary. So I applied, never expecting to be accepted. Especially since the boss is so young and polite," she responded, this time speaking a bit longer.

"Hmm, alright. Starting tomorrow, you'll be working with me. You'll handle all administrative matters—stocks, businesses, and anything I need. I'll give you further instructions later. It's already late; do you need a ride home?"

"I can go home on my own, sir," she quickly declined.

There was no way she would ask her new boss for a ride home. Even if he was young and handsome, what would people say at her boarding house…

"Alright, then. I'm leaving. Remember, tomorrow, go to Sky Pavilion and get your office assignment from Handoko," Davis instructed before leaving the beautiful woman who was now smiling with joy.
