A quiet annoyance.

Harper asked, "When is your meeting with MD?"

Abigail replied in a sour tone, "1 PM."

She pulled out her phone and dialed his number, but it went straight to voicemail. Again.

Abigail's frustration grew. "He must be sulking. What am I supposed to do?" Her voice trembled, and tears pricked at the corners of her eyes.

She thought to herself, "This was my chance, but it feels like I ruined it."

Abigail arrived at DdB before 1 pm, determined to make a good impression. She carefully searched for MD Caleb's office and waited for him.

Exactly at 1 pm, Caleb appeared and led her to a small meeting room. His expression was neutral as he examined the samples of shirts and tops Abigail had brought, taking notes.

Abigail watched his every move with a tense expression, her eyes fixed on him. In a bold attempt to break the ice, she pushed a restaurant coupon across the table to Caleb.

For the first time, Caleb looked up, his eyes meeting Abigail's. A flicker of surprise crossed his face, and Abigail's heart skipped a beat.

"I'm sorry about yesterday," Abigail said, gesturing to the coupon. "This is to a good restaurant."

Caleb's gaze remained fixed on her as he straightened his back. "Did you really want to work with me?" he asked, his tone skeptical.

Abigail forced a smile. "Of course. I don't have much experience with TV channels. I need your help."

Caleb nodded. "Okay, we'll have a meeting next week with the show producer and host."

Abigail's eyes lit up with excitement. "Then will my products be sold on the TV shopping channel?" she asked eagerly.

But Caleb's blunt response crushed her enthusiasm. "No."

Caleb walked down the hallway, file in hand, heading to another meeting. As he turned a corner, he ran into Olivia.

"Olivia, I'm so sorry. I'll make it up to you tomorrow. Let's have dinner tomorrow," Caleb said.

Olivia smiled. "Not dinner, Caleb. Can you join me for a movie instead?"

Caleb hesitated for a moment, and Olivia sensed his reluctance. "Producer Barron handed me two movie tickets, and I don't have anyone to join me, so..." she trailed off.

Caleb relented. "Okay."

Olivia recalled a scene where she had seen Caleb in a car with a familiar girl. She mustered up the courage to ask, "I heard you're working with that girl from Shine Apparel."

Caleb nodded. "Yes. This is the first and last time, though. Shine Apparel is not my cup of tea."

Olivia inwardly smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "Okay, I need to go for a live show," she said, bidding Caleb farewell before walking ahead.

That evening, Abigail strolled through the market, her eyes wandering over the various stalls. She stopped in front of a small shop selling intricate bracelets. The shop owner, noticing her interest, approached her.

"Lady, if you wear a bracelet with the initial of your crush or loved one, your love will last forever," the shop owner said with a warm smile.

Abigail's face lit up with a sweet smile as she began to browse through the selection of initials. Just then, she noticed a woman standing beside her, who looked familiar.

"Hello, aren't you the MD of DdB?" Abigail asked, her curiosity piqued.

The woman turned to her, a hint of recognition on her face. "Yes... Abi-" she started to say, trying to recall Abigail's name.

"Abigail!" Abigail completed her name with a smile.

"Are you also buying a bracelet?" Abigail asked, her eyes sparkling with interest.

Olivia nodded shyly. "Yes."

Abigail's eyes met Olivia's, and they exchanged a brief smile. "Are you also choosing one with an initial?" Olivia asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

"Yes," Abigail replied with a smile.

As they continued to chat, Abigail and Olivia discovered they had more in common than they thought. However, their conversation was cut short as Olivia glanced at her watch.

"I'm so sorry, but I have to go. I'm meeting someone," Olivia said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Abigail nodded understandingly. "It was nice talking to you. Maybe we'll run into each other again soon."

With that, they parted ways. Olivia walked towards the movie hall, where Caleb was waiting for her. Meanwhile, Abigail walked in the opposite direction, unaware that Ethan was waiting for her a short distance away, keeping a discreet eye on her.

"What's got you so happy?" Ethan asked, noticing the radiant smile on Abigail's face.

"Ethan!" Abigail exclaimed, quickly hiding her hand behind her back.

"We're going to be late, let's go!" Ethan said, glancing at his watch.

"Where?" Abigail asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Didn't I tell you to keep your evening free?" Ethan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, that's why I'm here now," Abigail replied innocently.

Ethan chuckled and hastily hailed a cab. As they arrived at the movie theater, Abigail's eyes widened in delight when she saw the movie poster featuring her favorite actor.

"This is the best part!" Abigail squealed, beaming with excitement, thrilled to be spending the evening with Ethan, watching her favorite actor's movie.

As Ethan and Abigail entered the movie theater, they unexpectedly ran into Olivia and Caleb. Olivia's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she noticed Abigail's excited expression.

"Who's the lucky guy?" Olivia asked with a smile, nodding towards Ethan.

Abigail's face flushed as she quickly denied, "No, he's not my boyfriend. He's just my brother's friend and our neighbor."

Abigail hastily made introductions, "Ethan, this is Olivia, the MD at DdB, and this is... um..." She paused, choosing her words carefully, "This is the MD who's working with me on the TV home shopping project."

Ethan extended a friendly greeting, and then turned to Caleb, saying, "Please take care of Shine Apparel."

Caleb nodded curtly, his expression unreadable, as he acknowledged Ethan's request.

As fate would have it, Abigail and Ethan found themselves seated directly in front of Caleb and Olivia. Abigail offered Ethan some popcorn, her eyes sparkling with joy.

Caleb's gaze drifted towards Abigail, his mind wondering, "What's making her so happy?"

As he crossed his legs, he deliberately kicked the back of Abigail's seat, causing her to turn around swiftly.

"Sorry, I have long legs," Caleb said nonchalantly, his expression unapologetic.

Olivia, engrossed in the movie, turned to Caleb with a smile. "Are you enjoying the movie?" she asked.

Caleb nodded, his eyes drifting past Olivia to Abigail, who was chatting with Ethan from time to time.

His gaze lingered on Abigail, and his expression turned slightly irritated. "Can't she just watch the movie quietly?" he thought to himself, his mental complaint laced with annoyance.
