Caleb's Doubts.

Amelia placed a cup of tea in front of her husband, Jackson, who was reading the newspaper, trying to get his attention. "What is it?" Jackson asked, folding the newspaper.

"About Caleb," Amelia said.

"Caleb what?" Jackson asked, picking up the cup.

"Aren't you the President? Why can't you just make Caleb a Director this year?" Amelia asked.

Jackson smiled. "Why are you so eager? Not only will he become a Director, but he'll surely become President one day."

Amelia's expression turned annoyed. "Don't you have any serious thoughts about your son's future? What does he lack now to become a Director?"

Jackson replied, "It's not that he lacks anything. He wants to gain more experience as an employee before holding the position of Director. Isn't that a good thing?"

Amelia closed her eyes, frustration evident. "What to do? I'm frustrated."

Opening her eyes, she said, "What is he thinking? He doesn't want to get married, doesn't even want to date."

Jackson calmed her down. "No, don't push him so much. When his time comes, he will surely get married."

Amelia stood up. "Do you know how old he is? You always think so easily."

Jackson changed the subject. "About Sophia, I am very angry. You should teach your daughter strictly, or she'll end up getting kicked out."

Amelia defended her daughter. "It was just a small mistake, and Caleb handled it without any problems. My baby was just frustrated in that situation."

With that, Amelia stormed out of the room.

After a hectic week of meetings and designing, Abigail's hard work finally paid off as the live TV show went on air. She was nervous but thrilled, feeling like her dreams were coming true.

The professional hosts expertly kicked off the show, and Abigail's designs - the tops and T-shirts - were presented on live television. The host explained the fabrics, patterns, and prices, highlighting the discounts available.

Abigail anxiously fixed her eyes on the screen as the orders started pouring in. For the first time, the orders hit 100 percent. Turning to Caleb, she exclaimed, "MD, look at the orders!"

Abigail jumped up excitedly, but Caleb remained still. "Don't you feel happy?" Abigail asked.

Caleb shrugged. "This is what I always do, and it happens all the time."

Abigail teased, "Can't you just pretend to be happy?"

Caleb simply replied, "I don't want to."

Abigail didn't let Caleb's stoic demeanor dampen her spirits. "This is my first time, and I'm over the moon!" she said, basking in the joy of her success.

Caleb forced a brief smile, then returned to his usual expression and walked past Abigail. However, he suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned around to gaze at Abigail's back. She was oblivious to his gaze, too caught up in her own happiness as she murmured to herself, a soft smile still plastered on her face.

Abigail walked into the bakery, intending to buy some treats for Harper and her three newly recruited employees. As she waited in line, she noticed Caleb standing ahead of her, waiting to buy his coffee. She greeted him warmly, "Hello, MD!"

However, Caleb pretended not to recognize her, ignoring her greeting and continuing to stare straight ahead, his expression impassive.

Abigail didn't seem fazed by Caleb's cold shoulder and waited patiently for her turn to order. Just then, Mason walked in, and Abigail's face lit up with a smile. "Mason, come here!" she called out.

Caleb's gaze drifted up, and his eyes narrowed as he watched Mason approach Abigail. Suddenly, memories of a chaotic scene from the past flashed through his mind - the day Mason was with another woman, and Abigail appeared, claiming to be Mason's girlfriend. The recollection sparked a mixture of emotions within Caleb.

Abigail handed Mason some bags. "Didn't I tell you to come on time? Take these. Wait for me in the car. I'll buy some bread for your sister."

Mason took the bags, asking, "Sister, how was the order?"

"I'll tell you later. Go," Abigail replied.

As Mason left, Abigail turned to face Caleb, noticing his fixed expression. "What's wrong, MD?" she asked.

Caleb's eyes narrowed. "Isn't that your boyfriend?"

Abigail smiled. "Boyfriend Mason? No. He's Harper's brother, like a brother to me."

Caleb raised an eyebrow. "But you appeared as his girlfriend and made a scene at a café."

Abigail's smile faltered. "What scene?" She paused, remembering. "Oh... the woman was clinging to him, and he wanted to break up, so I did a little acting."

Noticing Caleb's continued skepticism, Abigail asked, "Did you see me that day?"

She paused again, her eyes searching Caleb's face. "Why are you looking at me like I'm lying?"

Caleb remained stoic, taking his coffee and walking out.

"WoW! We did it!" Harper exclaimed, hugging Abigail tightly and jumping up and down in joy.

"We will be more busy from today," Abigail said.

"Did you confirm how many times we have to go for a live show in a month?" Harper asked.

Abigail's eyes sparkled. "Only two times. But if we do well, we'll go every week. Isn't that great?" she exclaimed excitedly.

Harper's expression turned serious as she guided Abigail to sit down. "So, what did you do this afternoon with Ethan?" she asked, her tone inquiring.

Abigail shrugged. "We went for a movie."

Harper's eyes sparkled. "A movie! What a great date."

Abigail quickly corrected her. "It's not a date."

Harper's expression turned advisory. "Abigail, how long are you going to hide your feelings? Just confess. Who knows, he might realize his feelings after you confess."

Abigail let out a deep sigh. "I think I won't be able to confess in this lifetime."

Harper's tone turned persuasive. "Hey, how long are you going to hold onto your first love? If you can't, then don't. What about other guys? Like Sean, your model friend?"

Abigail rolled her eyes. "Sean is just a friend."

"Why?" Harper asked, her brow furrowed. "It seems like Sean has feelings for you. You always draw a line, and that's why he can't approach you."

Abigail chuckled, teasing her friend. "Harper, you're born to be a novelist. How can you script an entire story in your head?"

Harper smiled knowingly. "Abigail, I've been around longer than you. Okay, fine – I can read people's eyes."

Abigail burst into laughter, mocking her friend's claim. Harper's face turned playful. "Hey! Don't you believe me?"

Abigail, still chuckling, shook her head and covered her ear with her hand, as if blocking out Harper's nonsense. With a grin, she turned and walked out, leaving Harper looking amused.
