Su Xiaoyu

When the car stopped in front of the kindergarten, the atmosphere was already lively with children being dropped off by their parents. Some children ran around happily, while others cried and refused to part with their parents.

Luo Fan got out of the car and quickly said goodbye to their nanny.

"Have a great day at school, Young Master Luo Fan, Young Master Luo Tian," their nanny said with a gentle smile.

Luo Tian smiled and nodded politely. "Thank you, Aunt Zhang."

Meanwhile, Luo Fan only gave a slight nod before turning to walk toward the kindergarten.

Luo Tian, wanting to hold hands with his younger brother, instinctively reached out his hand. "Come on, little brother, let's walk together."

However, Luo Fan looked at his brother's hand with a disgusted expression. "No way."

Luo Tian blinked in confusion. "Why?"

"I'm not a child," Luo Fan replied before speeding up, leaving his brother standing in place.

Luo Tian could only sigh before chasing after his brother. "Brother, wait for me!"

But Luo Fan ignored him and walked even faster.

Along the way, he overheard various conversations from the children and parents around him.

"Ah, that's Young Master Luo Tian! He looks so handsome today!"

"Right! He looks like a little prince!"

"And that's his younger brother, Luo Fan. He's also very cute!"

"Too bad he's so cold. Look, he doesn't even wait for his brother."

Luo Fan sighed upon hearing those words. He was already used to people admiring his brother.

As he ran toward the kindergarten building, suddenly—

Thud!

"Ouch!"

Luo Fan fell to the ground, as did a little girl he had accidentally bumped into.

Shock immediately overtook him, while the children around them started to watch.

"Ah! Are you okay?" A worried voice came from behind him.

Luo Tian had finally caught up and quickly knelt beside them, his elegant eyes filled with concern as he looked at his brother and the little girl.

"Brother, are you alright?" he asked gently.

Luo Fan lifted his face, slightly flushed with embarrassment, and glanced at the little girl who had also fallen.

She had long black hair tied with a red ribbon on one side. Her large eyes shimmered with tears, as if she was about to cry.

Luo Fan panicked. Don't tell me I made a girl cry first thing in the morning!

Seeing the little girl's teary eyes, Luo Fan quickly tried to calm her down.

"Hey, hey, don't cry! You're okay, right? It's just a small fall, it doesn't hurt, does it?" he said quickly.

But instead of stopping, her eyes welled up even more. Her lips trembled, and then—

"WAAAHHHH!!!"

The girl started crying loudly, drawing the attention of the children and teachers nearby.

Luo Fan froze. "Eh? Why are you crying? I said don't cry!"

But his words only made her sob harder.

"Agh... why is this happening?" Luo Fan scratched his head, feeling even more panicked.

Luo Tian, who had been silent all this time, sighed and knelt beside the little girl. With a gentle smile, he patted her shoulder softly.

"Hey, don't cry. You're not hurt, right? If you're in pain, I can call a teacher," he said soothingly.

The little girl looked up, tears still streaming down her cheeks. "I-I'm not hurt... but he bumped into me!"

Luo Tian turned to Luo Fan with a reproachful look. "Fan'er, you need to apologize."

Luo Fan snorted softly but eventually gave in. "Alright, sorry, okay? I didn't do it on purpose."

The little girl wiped her tears with her small hands. "Hic… really not on purpose?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't intentionally bump into someone," Luo Fan said, a little impatient.

Luo Tian smiled and handed her a small handkerchief. "No more crying, okay?"

The little girl hesitantly took the handkerchief and nodded slightly.

After a moment, the situation calmed down.

"By the way, what's your name?" Luo Tian asked kindly.

The little girl sniffled before answering in a soft voice, "I… I'm Su Xiaoyu."

Luo Tian smiled. "Nice to meet you, Xiaoyu. I'm Luo Tian, and this is my younger brother, Luo Fan."

Su Xiaoyu glanced at Luo Fan with an annoyed expression. "I know. He's the one who bumped into me."

Luo Fan sighed. "Hey, I already said sorry, didn't I?"

Seeing them start to argue again, Luo Tian could only chuckle. At least she had stopped crying.

Su Xiaoyu wiped her still slightly wet eyes before standing up gracefully, raising her chin with an arrogant posture. "Hmph! You're so careless, Luo Fan! What do you even use your eyes for?"

Luo Fan snorted and stood up, dusting off his slightly dirty clothes. "Well, if you walked more carefully, I wouldn't have bumped into you!"

Su Xiaoyu's eyes widened. "So you're saying it's my fault?! You dummy!"

Luo Fan crossed his arms and smirked. "Oh, sorry, I forgot. You're so tiny that you're practically invisible. No wonder I bumped into you."

"What?!" Su Xiaoyu fumed.

Her pride was deeply wounded when Luo Fan called her small. In this world, women were dominant.

It was similar to his past life when a girl called a boy short.

You could imagine how furious and insulted she felt.

Seeing the two of them bicker again, Luo Tian quickly stepped between them and sighed. "Alright, alright! You two are acting like children."

Su Xiaoyu huffed. "What else are we if not children?"

Luo Tian smiled slightly. "I mean, you're acting like babies fighting over a toy."

Luo Fan and Su Xiaoyu both froze for a moment before glaring at each other again.

Once things calmed down, they started walking toward the classroom together. However, the little argument between Luo Fan and Su Xiaoyu wasn't over yet.

"Hmph, I can't believe I have to walk with an annoying brat like you," Su Xiaoyu muttered.

Luo Fan raised an eyebrow. "Same. I didn't expect to walk with a noisy little girl like you."

"Hey! I am elegant and refined, you know!"

"You? Elegant? Maybe in your dreams!"

They continued bickering along the way. However, in between their arguments, Luo Fan happened to notice something—Su Xiaoyu was sneaking glances at Luo Tian with an odd expression. Like someone admiring him… or maybe… falling for him?

Luo Fan smirked.

"Heh, Xiaoyu, don't tell me you have a crush on my brother?"

Su Xiaoyu stiffened, her face turning slightly red. "W-what?! Don't talk nonsense!"

Luo Fan grinned even wider. "Oh? So you don't like my brother? Then why were you looking at him like that just now?"

"I… I just think he's very graceful!" Su Xiaoyu quickly explained, her face growing redder.

Luo Fan chuckled. "Ohhh, so you admit he's attractive? Wow, wow, Xiaoyu secretly likes my brother~"

Su Xiaoyu scoffed. "Not at all! I just admire him! Unlike you—rude and annoying!"

"Oh? So you think I'm annoying because I'm more charming than you?"

"You?! Charming?! Pfft! I'd rather look at a rock than at your face!"

Luo Fan and Su Xiaoyu continued exchanging insults until—

"Enough!"

Luo Tian stopped walking and looked at them with an exasperated expression. "Can you two stop arguing? You're giving me a headache."

Luo Fan and Su Xiaoyu glanced at each other before reluctantly falling silent, though both still looked dissatisfied.

"Fine," Luo Fan muttered.

"Hmph," Su Xiaoyu turned away.

Seeing them finally quiet down, Luo Tian sighed in relief and continued walking.

But behind him, Luo Fan and Su Xiaoyu were still secretly glaring at each other.

It seemed this wouldn't be the end of their rivalry.
