Time Passed

After dinner, everyone returned to their own activities. His mother, Luo Mei, went back to her study to finish her business matters, while his father, Wang Jian, went to the living room to read a book. Luo Tian also went to his room, either to study or simply relax.

Luo Fan, on the other hand, sat in front of the mirror in his room, observing his reflection carefully.

His face still had a slight roundness typical of children, with large, clear amber eyes, a small proportional nose, and tiny lips that pouted slightly.

"If this keeps up, I'll definitely grow into a handsome man in the future… or maybe I'll just stay cute?" he muttered while tilting his head.

As he was lost in thought, a knocking sound came from the door.

Knock, knock, knock.

"Little brother," Luo Tian's gentle voice called from outside.

Luo Fan glanced at the door before standing up and opening it. There stood his twin brother, now dressed in dark blue pajamas.

Before Luo Fan could ask anything, Luo Tian casually said, "I'm sleeping here tonight."

Without waiting for permission, Luo Tian walked in, climbed onto Luo Fan's bed, and gracefully jumped onto the mattress.

Thud!

Luo Fan could only stare with a blank expression as his brother comfortably buried himself in his blanket.

The corner of his lips twitched. "You didn't even ask for permission…"

Luo Tian turned to him with a calm smile. "We're twins. It doesn't matter, right?"

Luo Fan let out a long sigh.

Well… he was used to this. Since they were little, Luo Tian had often come to his room and slept here. Sometimes it was annoying, but in the end, he always let his brother do whatever he wanted.

After all, who told them to be born as twins?

Luo Fan yawned slightly before climbing into his bed as well. Even though he originally wanted to sleep alone, he could only accept the fact that his brother had already taken over most of the bed.

He lazily pulled his blanket, trying to find a comfortable position.

"You need to stop doing this," Luo Fan mumbled sleepily.

Luo Tian, already cozy in bed, chuckled softly. "Why? You don't like sleeping with me?"

Luo Fan clicked his tongue. "It's not that… it's just that you have your own bed, so why do you have to sleep here?"

Luo Tian closed his eyes for a moment before answering in a relaxed tone, "Sleeping alone is boring."

Luo Fan fell silent.

Yeah, that was a typical Luo Tian answer.

Luo Tian might always appear calm, graceful, and even have a noble aura that made him admired by many people, but in front of Luo Fan, he sometimes acted like a child.

"Alright, alright, do whatever you want," Luo Fan finally said, turning his back on his brother. "But don't steal my blanket!"

Luo Tian gave a faint smile. "No promises."

Luo Fan snorted but said nothing more.

The room fell quiet, with only the sound of their breathing gradually becoming steady.

However, before fully drifting off to sleep, Luo Fan had a fleeting thought—since his reincarnation, his life had changed drastically. From an ordinary orphan in his previous life to the son of a wealthy family living in luxury.

And more than that, he now had a twin brother who, though sometimes annoying, was also the only person who was truly always by his side.

"...Well, maybe it's not too bad," he murmured softly before finally falling asleep.

That morning, Luo Fan felt as if he was sinking into a sea of warm and comfortable dreams. The thick blanket wrapped around his body perfectly, and he had no intention of waking up.

But reality was not so kind.

"Little brother, wake up."

A soft yet firm voice echoed in his ears, accompanied by a gentle touch on his shoulder.

Luo Fan groaned softly, shifting slightly under the blanket. "Five more minutes…"

"You said that yesterday too."

Luo Fan tried to pull the blanket tighter around him, burying his face into the pillow. "Today is different… I'm still sleepy."

Luo Tian sighed, then casually pulled the blanket away from his brother.

"Hah?! Hey!" Luo Fan immediately sat up, his face annoyed. "What are you doing?!"

"Waking you up," Luo Tian answered calmly, folding the blanket in his hands.

Luo Fan groaned in frustration, ruffling his hair. "Why do you always have to be like this…?"

"Because if I don't, you'll be late for school."

Luo Fan clicked his tongue in annoyance but didn't argue further. He knew his brother wouldn't give up until he was fully awake.

Glancing around the tidy room, Luo Fan sighed softly.

His brother was truly diligent.

After getting ready quickly, Luo Fan went downstairs to the dining room, where his parents were already waiting.

His father, Wang Jian, sat gracefully at the end of the table, sipping tea quietly. Meanwhile, his mother, Luo Mei, was reading company reports.

Luo Fan sat in his chair lazily, while Luo Tian sat with perfect posture, like a true noble.

"Good morning, Father, Mother," Luo Tian greeted politely.

"Good morning, Tian'er," his mother responded with a smile. "Did you sleep well?"

Luo Tian nodded. "Yes, very well. How about you?"

"We're doing fine."

Luo Fan remained silent and simply started eating without much enthusiasm.

"Luo Fan," his father suddenly called.

"Hm?" Luo Fan looked up lazily.

"How was your sleep?"

Luo Fan chewed his food for a moment before giving a brief answer, "Same as always."

His mother chuckled softly. "You're always so short and to the point, huh?"

Luo Fan just shrugged. He simply didn't like small talk as much as Luo Tian.

"Are you both ready for school?" his father asked again.

"Yes," Luo Tian answered enthusiastically. "I can't wait to see my friends at kindergarten!"

Luo Fan rolled his eyes. "I feel the same as usual."

His mother smiled, looking at Luo Tian with pride. "You really are a diligent child, Tian'er."

Hearing that, Luo Fan just let out a small huff and continued eating without saying much.

Luo Tian glanced at his brother briefly before giving a subtle smile.

After finishing their meal, they prepared to leave for kindergarten.

On the way, Luo Fan rested his head against the car window, gazing at the cityscape with half-closed eyes.

"You should be more excited, Fan'er," Luo Tian said, sitting beside him.

"I don't want to," Luo Fan replied flatly.

Luo Tian chuckled softly. "You're always like this, huh?"

Luo Fan turned to him with a blank expression. "And you're always overly enthusiastic."

"What's wrong with enjoying life?"

"I enjoy it in my own way."

Luo Tian simply shook his head with a small smile. "Alright, if you say so."

The car continued moving through the city streets, heading toward their kindergarten.

Just another boring day as usual.
