We gazed at each other for some quick seconds with his eyes, dominating mine. "What do you think you are doing witch? I gave you a room to lay your head and now you are invading my personal property? Is that what you do?'' He began walking closer to the shelf where I had arranged his book. He took it and held it in his palms. Once again, we stood facing each other. That long wicked looks never stopped intimidating me.
"m sorry sir. I never mean to do anything that will upset you. I will never go close that again.'' I lifted my face a bit to meet his but quickly looked down again. The alpha has not acted in the way I had expected him to respond.
"Tell me, witch,'' he began, "have you read any book like this before?''
"No, I have not.''
"Hmmm! That means, it must be strange to you?''
"Yes, but it was interesting.''
He raised his eyebrows, "did you find any piece of written paper in my book?''
'Should I lie to him and pretend I saw nothing?' I asked myself. 'No, that will make the alpha think I'm a terrible liar and also a dishonest girl. That could automatically increase the chance of him and his wolf brothers getting
rid of me quickly after I meet their demand. Therefore, I need to impress him so he will at least, spare my life when he is done with my services. "Yes, I saw a paper and I also read the written words,'' I confessed.
"Hmmm! Tell me what you read witch? You just invaded my privacy. Tell me one reason why I should not kill you now?'' His voice sounded mean but, I found it very difficult to believe he meant what he said.
"You can torture me, you can scare me, you can treat me like a piece of trash, you can threaten me, you may hit me, you can intimidate me but, you can never kill me.''
"I see you are an overconfident witch. What makes you think I will not kill you?''
"It has been said many times. You need me right now. As long as your curse is there, you can never harm me. You can only do away with me only when you see no use for me again,'' I told him.
He looked at me continuously. "Now, pull your clothes, all of them from your body," he commanded.
What is he up to this time? Is he trying to rape me? Astonished, I asked, "Why will I do that sir?"
"So you can take your bath, stupid! I forgot to inform you as soon as we arrived here. That should have been the first thing I could have told you to do, before sending you to lay your dirty body on my bed. So, if you don't mind do as I have said and pull off all your clothes."
I remained silent while continuing to stare at him. I was speechless. How could he expect me to pull off my clothes in his presence? Something I have never done before in the presence of any man.
"Why are you delaying? You are wasting my time!" He shouted at me.
"I'm not comfortable pulling my clothes off, in your presence," I looked downwards as I spoke to defend my decision not to obey him.
"Oh I see, I will have to give you some space then. Just two minutes. Remember that!" He left while I pulled my torn clothes off leaving only my inner wear on me.
It wasn't up to two minutes when he came back. He never looked at me directly. Well, I didn't expect that from him, given the way he had treated me before. "Now follow me," he barked. He led the way through a small corridor connecting the room, and there I saw a bathtub. "You can take your bath here while I arrange for the clothes you will wear," he left out after saying that.
I looked around to see the old structures of the bathroom. It was not good but, not too bad. I entered the bathtub and washed as quickly as I can. Minutes later, I was out of the bathroom only to find him sitting on a chair in his room with a shirt in his hands.
"Puts these clothes on and have some rest. I will go and make dinner with my brothers. I will come back for you when all is set and done, so you can have something to eat," he turned around to leave but then, I had to think again quickly
"Can I please talk to you for a second?"
"Yes witch, what is it? Whatever you have to say, say them real quick. I have no time to waste here."
"What are you cooking for dinner?" I asked. I could tell from the look on his face, that he never saw it coming. Did my question stun him? Maybe he was wondering what gave me the audacity to ask him what he was going to cook for dinner with his wolf brothers.
"That's a bold move, Witch. You are not in the position to ask me that? Perhaps, you have no choice but to eat whatever we present to you as food. So tell me, what's the essence of your question?"
I wondered if he will ever listen to me if I tell him my reasons for demanding to know what he was going to prepare for dinner. I was scared to tell him but then, I have already begun, and I must finish what I have started.
"But you haven't answered my question, sir? I hope you can please tell me what's for dinner. Believe me, I have good intentions."
"And what are your good intentions Witch?"
A Love Letter In The Magic's Book.
"If you wouldn't mind, I will like to give you a helping hand. I want to cook the dinner myself," I told him. Under tension, I awaited the words t
hat will come out of his mouth in the next few seconds.
