Chapter 14 - Dollar

It wasn't just the Grandmaster and his companions who were in disbelief—everyone present was struggling to trust their own eyes. It felt like they were watching a movie where the hero escapes right under the villain's nose with the heroine. Some even smirked, seeing the Grandmaster and his men running after Veer.

The only question on everyone's mind was—who was that mysterious man whom Jai had called 'Dollar'? While people laughed at the Grandmaster's failure, Dollar, aka Veer, had gained the reputation of a hero.

The way Veer had not only stolen the sacred blood alien's weapon but also its devil's soul, it was no surprise that he had become a viral sensation.

As for the Grandmaster, those who once admired him now mocked him.

After all, he had lost not just the sacred blood alien's weapon and devil's soul, but also the weapon made from the six-winged creature's devil's soul. Such a loss made him a laughingstock. Some even doubted whether the Grandmaster would remain mentally stable after this humiliation.

In all the discussions among the people, one thing was common—everyone wanted to know Dollar's real identity.

When Jai had mentioned Dollar's name, not everyone had heard it clearly. Many only caught the first part, 'Doll,' which sounded strange to them. However, the feat accomplished by 'Doll' or 'Dollar' was even more astonishing than his name.

As people continued discussing Veer, the Grandmaster, and the sacred blood alien, their attention turned toward the Grandmaster and his companions. The utter defeat was clear on their faces. Some secretly enjoyed seeing them in this state, as many had suffered injustice at their hands before.

Perhaps this was karma—an unknown man had humiliated the one who once tormented others.

Upon returning, the furious Grandmaster immediately confronted Jai, demanding to know everything about Dollar.

"You! You know him, don't you? That 'Doll' or 'Dollar'—whatever his name is! Tell me where he lives, or you won't like the consequences!" he threatened.

The Grandmaster was certain that if Jai had called the stranger 'Dollar,' he must know more about him.

Seeing the Grandmaster's rage, Jai had no choice but to reveal everything about his first encounter with Dollar. But the truth was, Jai knew nothing beyond the name. He didn't even know what Dollar looked like, let alone where he lived.

The Grandmaster found it hard to believe Jai's words, but there was nothing he could do. Since Jai was a part of Avni's gang, the Grandmaster couldn't threaten him too much. If Jai were one of his own men, the Grandmaster wouldn't have hesitated to torture him for answers. But in this case, his hands were tied for two reasons.

First, he didn't want to ruin his impression in front of Avni. Thanks to Dollar, his respect in Avni's eyes was already damaged.

If he mistreated one of her gang members now, Avni wouldn't just be unimpressed—she might not even let him near her again.

Second, the Grandmaster had no proof to disprove Jai's claims. With no other option left, he had to return to Dev-Ashram in frustration.

In a single moment, Dollar had turned the Grandmaster from a feared warlord into a joke. Everyone was laughing at him, though none dared to do it to his face.

But inside his locked room, the Grandmaster clenched his fists and swore to himself:

"Dollar, because of you, I lost my honor today! And worst of all, my impression on Avni is ruined. I swear, the day I catch you, I will tear you into pieces and feed you to the aliens here! Or my name isn't Grandmaster!"

Whether he could fulfill this vow or not was uncertain, but for now, one thing was clear—Dollar, the Grandmaster, the sacred blood alien, and its devil's soul had become the hottest topics in Dev-Ashram.

Meanwhile, unaware of the Grandmaster's oath, Veer was busy digging a hole near a mountain. He knew the Grandmaster and his men wouldn't give up easily, so he had decided to hide his golden axe there.

This way, even if they searched him like everyone else, they wouldn't find anything suspicious. Because right now, Veer was not yet strong enough to face them directly.

Although he had escaped this time by changing his appearance, such transformations had a time limit. He could only maintain his altered form for a short period. His genes weren't strong enough yet to sustain the transformation for too long, especially against a powerful alien's devil's soul.

The stronger the alien, the more gene points and physical strength Veer needed.

At the moment, he had 8 sacred gene points, which allowed him to maintain his disguise for only 8 minutes. That was enough to escape but not to fight them head-on.

In such a short time, he could only take down one or two enemies. To face all of them, he needed to grow stronger.

While the devil's soul remained hidden unless summoned, the golden axe was visible. Sooner or later, someone would see it in his possession. On top of that, he had now made enemies not just with the Grandmaster's gang but also with Avni's and Bheem's gangs.

Even though the Grandmaster had nearly killed the sacred blood alien, all three gangs had contributed to the mission. If they had obtained the golden axe, the profit would have been shared among them. But Veer had taken it all for himself, making him the common enemy of all three gangs.

The smartest move was to hide the golden axe until he found a suitable buyer.

"For this axe alone, I can easily get 2 crores. And with the golden turtle's materials I have, I can earn another 1 crore. That means my financial problems back home will be solved! But for now, I need to hide this axe. Once the situation is under control, I know exactly where to sell everything."

As Veer buried the golden axe, excitement was evident on his face.

After all, the very reason he came to Titan was about to be fulfilled.

Though the sacred blood devil's soul was far more valuable than the sacred blood gear, it was still considered a treasure. Veer was sure he could sell the golden axe for at least 2 crores.

As for the sacred blood alien's devil's soul, selling it was out of the question. It was the key to his survival and success in Dev-Ashram. Selling it would be like killing the goose that lays golden eggs—something Veer would never do.

Now, staying in Dev-Ashram and building his status there had become just as important as earning 3 crores before arriving here. Since he was now only a few steps away from his financial goal, he could focus entirely on his physical development.

But with so many enemies around him, how Veer would survive in Dev-Ashram remained to be seen.

Just as Veer returned to 'Dev Ashram' after burying the golden axe, he noticed Vyom and his gang stationed at the entrance, thoroughly searching and questioning everyone entering the ashram. Anyone with common sense could tell that this intense Z-level security was put in place for one reason—finding Dollar.

Veer immediately realized what was happening. But looking at their frustrated faces, it was clear that they hadn't found anything yet.

Veer smirked to himself, "Poor guys, they have no idea that catching Dollar is not just difficult, it's impossible."

The thought amused him, and he couldn't help but chuckle. Now that he had hidden the golden axe safely, he had nothing to fear. Confidently, he stepped forward to be searched. After all, they wouldn't find anything on him.

Vyom, already in a foul mood, became even more irritated at the sight of Veer. He snapped at his men, "Why are you wasting your time on this idiot? Does this ragged fool look like Dollar to you? If he is Dollar, then I'm Amitabh Bachchan!"

Before his men could search Veer, Vyom dismissed the idea himself, unknowingly making things easier for Veer. His words convinced the others, and instead of frisking Veer, they pushed him aside and continued searching others.

Veer couldn't help but smile, "Fools! They don't know that Gangaadhar is actually Shaktimaan!"

With a small laugh, he walked toward his room. On the way, he overheard people discussing the incident at Sunset Point. Hearing them praise Dollar—his own alter ego—made him grin. Who doesn't like to hear their own praise?

However, among the chatter, he caught something strange. Some people were calling him "Doll" instead of "Dollar."

Veer gritted his teeth, "Jay is an idiot! A complete moron! What was he thinking when he told everyone my name was 'Doll'?" If he could, he would have hung Jay upside down right then and there. "Doll?! Seriously?! In what universe do I look like a doll? Even 'Crazy' would've been a better name than this!"

But Veer was in a good mood today, so he decided to let it go. Dollar or Doll—what difference does it make?

At the end of the day, what mattered was that he had humiliated the Grandmaster beyond repair. That was enough for now. As for his name? Well, one day, the truth would come out—just like how Peter Parker was eventually revealed to be Spider-Man.

With that thought, he smiled and walked into his room.

Meanwhile, in another room at Dev Ashram, Jay was desperately trying to defend himself in front of Avni Shergill.

"Avni, please believe me! I've already told you everything I know. I swear, I don't know anything more. Why would I lie to you? After all, I value my life! I seriously don't know who Dollar is. I mean, I do know him, but not in the way you think! What I mean is, I only know his name. I've only met him once, and that too in the Agile Locusts' territory. He was the one who sold me those locusts that I—uh, I mean—that I gifted to our gang members. If you don't believe me, ask them! They helped me bring those locusts back to Dev Ashram. Trust me, that's all I know!"

Tears welled up in Jay's eyes as he pleaded with Avni.

Avni, however, remained calm. "Look, Jay, I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm not saying you're lying either. I just want you to contact Dollar and tell him that I want to buy his Sacred Blood Devil's Soul and gear. Whatever price he demands, I will pay. I just need those two things." She took a deep breath.

Hearing this, Jay sighed in relief. At least Avni believed him. Otherwise, he had no idea what she might have done to him.

But now, she had put him in an equally troublesome situation.

Jay hesitated, "But I really don't know where he is!" Finding one person on such a massive planet was like looking for a needle in a haystack, and Jay had absolutely no intention of doing that.

Avni's tone turned cold. "Then go find him! I don't care how you do it, but I need those two items at any cost. And make sure no one—not even your own gang—gets a hint about it. You must find Dollar secretly. If you succeed, I will reward you handsomely. Now stop wasting my time and get out!"

She pointed toward the door, effectively dismissing him before he could say another word.

Jay sighed deeply. "Doesn't matter if it's Earth or Titan, when have men ever won against women? Like hell, I would!" With that thought, he silently walked out.

The moment Jay left, Avni fell into deep thought.

"Who exactly is this Dollar? Could he be from Bheem's gang? Or… is it possible that this is all part of Grandmaster's plan, so he doesn't have to share the reward? But if he isn't affiliated with any gang and operates alone, would he be willing to join my gang? If he does, our gang will be unstoppable in Dev Ashram! But will he even agree? Even if he doesn't join, as long as I can get that Sacred Blood Devil's Soul and gear, that would be enough. But where could he be right now?"

No matter how much she analyzed, she couldn't figure out Dollar's true identity.

Meanwhile, just like Avni, Bheem had also secretly sent his men to hunt for Dollar. He too wanted the Sacred Blood Alien's Devil's Soul and gear—without having to share it with anyone.

But out of everyone, the one who suffered the most was Grandmaster.

At least Avni and Bheem managed to get some Sacred Gene Points from the Sacred Blood Alien's energy. But Grandmaster? He got absolutely nothing.

Ironically, the Sacred Blood Alien had died because of Grandmaster himself. If he hadn't used his Sacred Blood Wasp Arrow, the alien would have escaped.

If that had happened, then:

Dollar (Veer) wouldn't have obtained the Sacred Blood Devil's Soul and gear. Avni and Bheem wouldn't have gained Sacred Gene Points.

And Grandmaster? He lost everything. The alien wrecked his ride, and in his attempt to kill it, he lost his Sacred Blood Wasp Arrow forever.

So, if anyone had the biggest reason to be devastated, it was Grandmaster.

For now, all of Dev Ashram was focused on finding Dollar in their own ways.

But despite their efforts, no one even thought to connect Dollar with the so-called "crazy" Veer.
