Chapter 17 - 4 Crore

Veer Raheja kicked Ansh Gujral's lifeless body into the crocodile-infested pond and smirked. "Consider this a treat from me, my dear iron-toothed crocodiles. And don't worry, we'll meet again soon. Let's just say that today, both of us got lucky. But I can't guarantee you'll be this lucky next time. Until then, bye-bye."

Watching the crocodiles circle on the water's surface, Veer chuckled before making his way back to Dev Ashram.

At that moment, he wasn't in any condition to fight those crocodiles, so returning to Dev Ashram was the right move.

However, peace still eluded him there. The Grandmaster was still on the hunt for 'Dollar' and had even increased the bounty. Yet, no one had been able to find him. No one even connected 'Dollar' with the 'lunatic' of Dev Ashram. But it wasn't their fault.

Veer had kept such a low profile in Dev Ashram that no one could have guessed he was actually Dollar. How could a foolish-looking boy be the powerful 'Dollar'? Moreover, no one spoke to him in Dev Ashram. If they did, maybe someone would have been suspicious. But in their eyes, Veer was insignificant. However, this was a huge advantage for Veer. It was good that no one associated him with Dollar; otherwise, he would never be able to accomplish his mission.

On his way back, Veer overheard people talking about Dollar's exploits. Smiling to himself, he reached his room and glanced at the captive copper-toothed rhino.

By now, a large part of its body had turned brown, but it still hadn't fully transformed into a mutant copper-toothed rhino. Perhaps it needed more time to develop. With a deep sigh, Veer decided to head to Dev Ashram's market to buy medicinal herbs.

"Hey, lunatic, which alien beat you up this time? I've told you before—hunt aliens at your level! Do you think you're Dollar, going after aliens above your rank?"

Such taunts weren't new to Veer. Whether it was the shopkeepers or the people of Dev Ashram, everyone saw him as a joke. But Veer had grown used to it. Without a word, he handed over the money, took the herbs, and walked away.

At that moment, he was in too much pain to argue. Fortunately, he had the ten lakh rupees given by Jai; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to afford these herbs.

As he walked away, he heard the laughter behind him and knew they were mocking him again. But it didn't matter. At least they were praising Dollar. If they didn't know Dollar and the 'lunatic' were the same person, it wasn't their fault.

"Let them say whatever they want. As that actor once said, 'People will talk; it's their job to talk.' It's only a matter of time before they realize their mistake. I'm waiting for the day their faces turn pale when they learn the truth about Dollar. Until then, let them be happy. It doesn't cost me anything."

With a smirk, Veer glanced back at the shopkeeper and the others before heading straight to his room.

After that day, it took Veer ten days to recover from the injuries inflicted by Ansh Gujral. During this time, he kept a close eye on the copper-toothed rhino. The creature had now fully transformed into a mutant alien, but its size remained that of an ordinary alien.

The mutant copper-toothed rhinos Veer had seen on Titan were twice this one's size. Additionally, this rhino, which had developed with the help of black crystals, was far weaker than a true mutant rhino. In fact, it couldn't even compare to an actual mutant copper-toothed rhino.

After pondering for a while, Veer pulled out his dagger and slashed at the rhino's neck. Surprisingly, despite the force of his attack, there wasn't even a scratch on its body. Instead, his dagger bent slightly.

"Hmm… So it has become a mutant alien but still looks like an ordinary one." Veer immediately transformed into his sacred blood alien form and attacked the rhino's neck with even greater force.

A power screen popped up before his eyes, displaying a robotic message:

**"Mutant Copper-Toothed Alien has been killed. No Devil's Soul obtained. Acquire its energy to gain 0-10 mutant gene points."**

As soon as the rhino died, these words appeared on Veer's power screen. His joy knew no bounds.

Even if it looked different from other mutant copper-toothed aliens, as long as it was classified as a mutant alien, there was no problem.

"Now the only issue is—how do I sell this mutant copper-toothed rhino's energy? If I didn't need money, I would absorb the mutant points myself. But now… On top of that, all of Dev Ashram is searching for Dollar. If I go to sell it as Dollar, I'll be caught by the Grandmaster and the others. But if I go as the lunatic, it will be an even bigger problem. What should I do?"

Veer took a deep breath, lost in thought, when suddenly, an idea struck him.

"There's only one person who can help me now." After thinking for a while, he finally made a decision. A wide smile spread across his face. He knew exactly who he needed to talk to.

### Meanwhile…

Jai was having a rough time. Avni had ordered him to find Dollar, but since he knew nothing about him, how was he supposed to? In the past ten days, he had searched every possible place where Dollar might be, but to no avail. Yet Avni refused to accept his failure. She was determined to get the sacred blood Devil's Soul and gear from Dollar at any cost.

So, she ordered Jai to intensify his search.

Since then, Jai had been running around looking for Veer, aka Dollar. But it was as if Dollar had vanished from Titan itself. If the people of Dev Ashram hadn't seen Dollar with their own eyes that day, Jai would have started doubting whether Dollar even existed.

That morning, as Jai was about to head out in search of Dollar again, he tripped over something and fell flat on his face.

"Which idiot left such a huge rock in front of my room? I swear, if I find them, I'll beat them to a pulp!"

Jai's mood had already been terrible, and falling face-first only made it worse.

Unfortunately, there was no one around to vent his anger on. Taking a deep breath, he decided to move the rock himself. As he did, something caught his eye underneath it.

Upon closer inspection, he saw a bundle of cash along with a note. The note read:

**"Goods worth 1 crore have been delivered. If you need more, bring cash and come to the locust territory tomorrow. Cash only!"**

There was no sender's name on the note, but in the bottom left corner, a small coin drawing was visible.

"Dollar!"

It didn't take Jai long to realize who had sent this message.
