Chapter 5

Damien seemed not to notice, walking straight towards the pile of mangled flesh.

Ignoring the glass shards on the floor, he reached out to touch it.

"It's over. Everything is over."

"I hid it so well. How could she have found out?"

The Langdon couple looked at Damien, bewildered.

"Damien, what are you doing? Throw that disgusting thing away immediately."

"What exactly were those three glass bottles Vivienne sent?"

When Damien lifted his head, his eyes were bloodshot.

"These are my and Vivienne's three children - your long-awaited grandchildren!"

Mrs. Langdon stumbled back a few steps in horror.

"Has Vivienne lost her mind? I just said a few words to her. Is there really a need for her to seek revenge on us like this?"

"I've heard these dead fetuses carry resentment. Hurry up and throw away these inauspicious things!"

Damien remained unmoved.

He was immersed in endless fear and regret.

Damien's assistant rushed in from the doorway, handing him a manila envelope.
