The Next Morning Jin Ho sat on the couch with a serious expression. He turned on the TV, only to be greeted by a news report that made him freeze in place.
"This morning, the body of a man was found in an abandoned warehouse. Police suspect this to be a case of brutal murder. The victim's identity is still under investigation…"
The screen displayed police tape stretched across the crime scene. Officers were seen moving around, while the silhouette of a covered body lay in the background.
It didn't take long for Seung Min, Dae Hyun, and Lee So Mi to gather in the living room after hearing the news.
"What's going on?" Seung Min asked, his eyes fixed on the screen.
Jin Ho turned to them, tension clear in his expression. "There's been a murder… and the location isn't far from here."
Lee So Mi bit her lip. "Don't tell me this has something to do with us?"
Dae Hyun let out a deep sigh, leaning back against the couch. "I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about this."
They exchanged glances, all realizing that this wasn't just any ordinary case.
And if it was connected to them in any way…
This was only the beginning of something far worse.
Elsewhere Inside a grand corporate office, Lee Joo Hyun, the father of Jin Seok and Min Joon, sat behind his massive desk. The room was silent, except for the rhythmic ticking of a clock on the wall.
Jin Seok sat calmly on the sofa, his face expressionless as usual. He crossed his legs, looking completely unfazed by the situation.
Not long after, Min Joon entered the room. His eyes briefly flickered toward Jin Seok before he walked straight to his father.
"Father, there's something you need to know," he said in a low voice, leaning in to whisper something.
Lee Joo Hyun barely reacted, simply giving a slight nod while continuing to review the documents on his desk.
Min Joon didn't linger. He left the office with quick steps. As soon as he stepped outside, he pulled out his phone and dialed Jin Woo.
"Gather Do Jin, Tae Hwan, and Ki Seok," he ordered, his voice cold and firm. "We need to act now."
There was a brief silence on the other end before Jin Woo responded, "Understood."
Min Joon ended the call and stared ahead, his gaze sharp. Something was in motion—something that couldn't be left unchecked.
Elsewhere Jin Woo walked toward his motorcycle, about to leave, when suddenly, Shin Kyung appeared from the shadows, blocking his path.
Back at Seung Min's house Jin Ho, Lee So Mi, and Dae Hyun were enjoying their weekend, lounging in the living room. Dae Hyun stretched his arms lazily before grabbing his phone.
"Let's check in with the others," he muttered before dialing Hae Jin—who was still trapped in Kieran's body—along with Jae Hoon and Ryo Tadeka.
Meanwhile, in a dark alley Jin Woo was in rough shape—bruises covered his face, blood dripping from his split lip. He panted heavily, kneeling on the ground as Shin Kyung and his gang surrounded him.
"Start talking," Shin Kyung demanded, his tone laced with menace.
Jin Woo groaned, spitting blood to the side before finally giving in. "Min Joon is setting Jin Seok up," he confessed. "He ordered his men to attack Seung Min… then plans to manipulate the evidence to make it look like Jin Seok was behind everything."
Shin Kyung's expression darkened as he processed the information. Min Joon wasn't just playing dirty—he was trying to burn every bridge.
His grip on Jin Woo tightened. "You better not be lying," he warned, his voice dangerously low.
Jin Woo could only glare, his body trembling from the pain. "Believe whatever you want," he muttered. "But if you don't act fast, Seung Min is as good as dead."
Shin Kyung exchanged glances with his men before finally making a decision.
At the police station…
Nina Park arrived at the police station with quick steps, but when she asked about Joo Hyuk, one of the officers simply shook his head. "He's on leave."
Nina frowned. Leave? That was unusual. Something felt off.
At Lee Joo Hyun's company office…
Jin Seok sat calmly in his chair while his father stood by the large window, gazing outside.
"Has all the evidence from last night's murder been destroyed?" Lee Joo Hyun's sharp voice broke the silence.
Jin Seok smirked slightly, then looked at his father with an indifferent expression. "Why are you using me as a pawn, Father?"
Lee Joo Hyun turned around, his face emotionless. "I won't let you go to prison, Jin Seok."
At that moment, Jin Seok's phone vibrated. A notification from Shin Kyung.
Without rushing, Jin Seok stood up and straightened his suit. In a flat tone, he said, "Alright." Then, without another word, he walked out of the room.
At Seung Min's house His aunt was busy preparing food in the kitchen, while in the backyard, Seung Min, Lee So Mi, Hae Jin, Dae Hyun, Jin Ho, Jae Hoon, Yoon Ha Rin, and Ryo Tadeka were grilling meat.
The atmosphere was lighthearted, filled with laughter, though beneath it all, an unspoken tension still lingered.
Suddenly, Seung Min's phone rang. An old friend's name appeared on the screen.
Seung Min answered and spoke briefly. Meanwhile, elsewhere Min Joon was observing the conversation from a distance. Once Seung Min hung up, a nervous young man handed his phone to Min Joon.
With a cold gaze, Min Joon said, "Go meet him at the café. Then, manipulate him. Tell him that you're being threatened… and bring him here."
The young man nodded hesitantly before hurrying off.
Min Joon leaned back in his chair and glanced at the mysterious man sitting across from him.
The man smirked. "Today will be the day your relationship with Jin Seok crumbles."
Min Joon simply smiled faintly before replying, "No, this is the moment he realizes that he has long been living in the shadow of someone who never even considered him an ally."
Back to Seung Min Seung Min excused himself, saying he had urgent business to take care of but promised to return in an hour.
Meanwhile, Jin Seok and Shin Kyung met up.
They stood in a dimly lit parking lot, eyes locked onto Jin Woo, who sat on the ground, battered and exhausted.
Jin Seok's voice was calm but firm. "Give us their hideout address."
Shin Kyung observed him carefully as Jin Seok continued, "I won't let Seung Min get hurt… and I won't let my stepbrother, Min Joon, make a terrible mistake."
At a café Seung Min sat across from a nervous young man named Jisung. The latter was fidgeting, his eyes darting around as if he were being watched.
"I'm being threatened," Jisung blurted out in a panic, barely giving Seung Min time to react. "Please, you have to help me!"
Seung Min frowned but nodded. "Where?"
Jisung quickly stood up, motioning for Seung Min to follow. Without hesitation, they left the café and headed toward an unknown location.
Back at Seung Min's house Lee So Mi and the others exchanged glances.
"Something feels off," Lee So Mi muttered, eyes narrowing.
Jae Hoon leaned back, arms crossed. "Yeah… Seung Min wouldn't just leave like that without telling us more details."
Dae Hyun clicked his tongue in frustration. "Should we go after him?"
Hae Jin glanced at his phone before shaking his head. "Not yet. But we should be ready for anything."
Elsewhere Min Joon sat in a dimly lit warehouse alongside Do Jin, Tae Hwan, and Ki Seok. The tension in the air was thick.
Ki Seok hesitated before speaking. "Are you sure about this? Isn't this too dangerous?"
Do Jin frowned, clearly uncomfortable. "We're walking straight into their trap if we're not careful."
Min Joon exhaled, his gaze sharp and unwavering. "Dangerous?" He let out a dry chuckle. "This is exactly the moment where everything falls into place."
At Seung Min's house Ryo Tadeka stood up, his expression serious. "We can't just sit around like this. Let's track Seung Min's whereabouts."
Lee So Mi nodded in agreement, while Yoon Ha Rin immediately turned to Jin Ho. "Jin Ho, you need to track him now."
Jin Ho quickly grabbed his phone and started typing, trying to locate Seung Min's last known position.
At the gang's hideout Seung Min and Jisung stood in front of an old, rundown building hidden within a dark industrial area.
Jisung swallowed nervously before stepping inside, with Seung Min following close behind. As they entered, a heavy tension filled the air. Several gang members stood in the corners of the room, their sharp eyes locked onto them.
In the center, Min Joon stood with a cold expression, slowly walking towards them.
The man who had spoken to Min Joon earlier also stood up, flashing a knowing smile at Seung Min. "So, you finally came."
Seung Min narrowed his eyes, sensing that something was definitely wrong.
At the police station Joo Hyuk stepped into his office with a serious expression.
As soon as he entered, he saw Nina Park standing near his desk.
Nina crossed her arms, her gaze filled with questions. "You're back from your leave. What exactly is going on?"
At the Hideout…
Min Joon smirked and took a step forward. "Fight them first."
Without hesitation, Seung Min clenched his fists and charged forward. A brutal fight broke out as Seung Min faced multiple gang members. He dodged, punched, and kicked, his movements sharp despite being outnumbered.
Blows landed hard on his body, but he fought back with sheer determination. One by one, he took them down, until only the leader remained—the man who had been watching with amusement.
Seung Min, panting heavily, wiped the blood trickling from his lips. His left eye was swollen, and he could taste the iron in his mouth.
The man smirked before pulling out a knife. "Let's see if you can win against this."
Seung Min's body tensed. He barely had time to react before the man lunged at him, the blade flashing in the dim light.
A vicious fight ensued, knives clashing, fists flying.
Outside the hideout Jin Seok, Shin Kyung, and their men rushed in but were immediately blocked by the gang's reinforcements. A fierce battle erupted, fists and weapons colliding in a chaotic brawl.
At the same time, Lee So Mi, Ryo Tadeka, Yoon Ha Rin, Jin Ho, Dae Hyun, Hae Jin, and Jae Hoon arrived, joining the fray.
Lee So Mi's heart pounded with fear. "Seung Min… Please be okay." She couldn't afford to lose her brother—not after losing their parents.
Back inside Seung Min gasped as the knife plunged into his stomach. His body stiffened, eyes wide in shock.
The man smirked, twisting the blade slightly. "That should finish you off."
But Seung Min gritted his teeth, his face contorted in pain. With sheer willpower, he grabbed the handle and ripped the knife out of his body. Blood gushed from the wound, but he didn't fall immediately. Instead, he gripped the knife with shaky hands and dropped it to the ground.
His vision blurred. His legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees.
Footsteps rushed toward him.
"Seung Min!!!" Lee So Mi and the others screamed as they saw him fall.
Jin Seok clenched his jaw, his fists trembling. "Seung Min…"
Without thinking, he stormed toward Min Joon and punched him across the face. Min Joon stumbled back, but before he could retaliate, Jin Seok turned to the man who had stabbed Seung Min.
Fury burning in his eyes, Jin Seok launched himself at the man, fists flying.
Yoon Ha Rin shouted, "Everyone, take him down!"
With that, the others joined in, charging toward the enemy.
Shin Kyung, who had been watching from the side, clenched his jaw. "I can't just stand here." He rushed forward to help.
Meanwhile, Lee So Mi ran to Seung Min, her heart sinking.
Seung Min's face had gone pale, his breaths shallow. His vision darkened, and the last thing he heard was the distant sound of Lee So Mi screaming his name before everything went black.
Inside the Hideout Hae Jin stood still, his fists clenched tightly. His eyes burned with fury as he saw Seung Min lying helpless on the floor, gasping for air, his body covered in blood.
He muttered in a low but menacing voice,
"How dare you ruin this kid's life…"
Silence.
The enemies started backing away slowly, sensing something was terribly wrong.
But it was too late.
In a flash, Hae Jin moved with incredible speed and kicked the man who had stabbed Seung Min.
CRASH!
The man was sent flying backward, slamming into the wall.
The wall cracked… then shattered.
The atmosphere turned deadly. No one dared to move.
Hae Jin breathed heavily, his rage still surging. If it weren't for Seung Min's critical condition, he would have wiped them all out without mercy.
"Leave… before I kill every last one of you."
Without hesitation, the enemies scattered, fleeing in fear.
Jin Seok looked at Seung Min lying on the ground with a conflicted expression. He clenched his jaw and turned to Shin Kyung.
"I'm leaving," he said quietly before walking away.
Without another word, Jin Seok left with Shin Kyung, choosing not to go to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Lee So Mi and the others quickly carried Seung Min out of the hideout as fast as they could.
At the Hospital Lee So Mi, Hae Jin, Ryo Tadeka, Yoon Ha Rin, Jin Ho, Dae Hyun, and Jae Hoon stood outside the operating room, their faces filled with anxiety.
The tension was unbearable. No one spoke.
Every minute felt like an eternity.
Suddenly, rushed footsteps echoed through the hall.
Joo Hyuk and Nina Park finally arrived.
Nina Park walked up to Hae Jin, standing beside him, her face full of worry.
Joo Hyuk clenched his jaw as he stared at the operating room. "How is he?"
No one answered. They were all still waiting, holding onto hope.
Then…
The operating room doors swung open.
A doctor stepped out, removed his mask, and spoke in a calm but serious voice:
"The surgery was successful."
They all let out a sigh of relief. But before anyone could say anything, the doctor continued:
"However… Seung Min is still in a coma. His condition is critical due to severe blood loss."
Silence.
Lee So Mi covered her mouth, trying to hold back tears.
Hae Jin clenched his fists again, his anger far from subsiding.
Yoon Ha Rin turned to Hae Jin and muttered softly, "This isn't over yet…"
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Jin Seok and Shin Kyung walked in silence, each carrying the weight of their own thoughts.
