Chapter 13: Gambling!!!

Picking The Rocks With 500 Years Of Rizz

The deeper Fang Yuan went into the merchant caravan's setup, the more the vibe shifted. The small street vendors faded into the background, replaced by massive tents that looked like they were flexing their drip. Red, blue, green, yellow—these tents were popping off like they were at a Gen Alpha festival. Some had door pillars with carvings, others had lanterns hanging like they were trying to rizz the heavens. Inside, some tents were lit up like a TikTok rave, while others were dim and mysterious, giving off major sigma energy.

Fang Yuan stopped in front of a grey tent with two pillars at the entrance. The left pillar read, "Small display of courage, obtain good fortune during the four seasons." The right pillar read, "Large display of skills, obtain good prosperity in all four directions." And in the middle: "Luck changes with time."

This was a rock gambling den, and it was about to get skibidi.

Fang Yuan walked in, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. Inside, the atmosphere was quieter than a Discord server during a Baby Gronk livestream. Counters were lined with amber and fossils of all sizes. Gu Masters were inspecting the rocks, rubbing them, and whispering like they were sharing forbidden Fanum Tax recipes.

A female Gu Master approached Fang Yuan with a smile. "Young master, what Gu worm do you need? Every rock on this counter is ten primeval stones each. If this is your first try, why not start with the cheaper ones on the right? Or if you're feeling spicy, the high-end counter in the middle has rocks for twenty stones each."

Fang Yuan nodded, his expression unreadable. "I'm not here to play games. I'm here to win."

He moved to the left counter, where the purple gold rocks were displayed. There were about twenty of them, each one a potential jackpot. Fang Yuan's eyes narrowed as he began his search.

"This one's too flat—no toad here. This one's too small—no way it's hiding a Mudskin Toad. This one's too smooth—mudskin toads are rough and uneven."

He narrowed it down to six rocks, each one a potential winner. "I've got 98 stones. If I buy seven, I'll still have enough to survive. But I need to make this count."

Fang Yuan's mind raced as he weighed his options. "In my past life, I ran a gambling den. I know how this works. Most of these rocks are duds, but if I hit the jackpot, it's game over for everyone else."

He picked up one of the rocks, feeling its weight. "This is it. This has to be it."

Dissecting Rocks With 500 Years Of Rizz

"I want to purchase some rocks," Fang Yuan said to the female Gu Master, his voice calm but dripping with sigma energy.

The female Gu Master's eyes lit up. "Newbie alert!" she thought. Most gamblers would spend hours inspecting the rocks, rubbing them, and feeling their weight before making a decision. But Fang Yuan? He was straight to the point, like he was ordering a Grimace Shake at McDonald's.

"Which piece are you choosing?" she asked, her smile as sweet as a Livvy Dunne rizz stare.

Fang Yuan pointed at one rock. "This piece."

She retrieved it.

He pointed again. "This piece."

She raised an eyebrow. "Two rocks? This kid's either loaded or delusional."

But Fang Yuan wasn't done. He pointed at three more rocks. "And this piece, that piece, and those two over there. I'm buying them all."

The female Gu Master's jaw dropped. "This kid's either a sigma or a lunatic." She quickly recovered, her smile turning into full-on rizz mode. "Young master, you have excellent taste. Let me get those for you."

Six rocks were placed in front of Fang Yuan. He pulled out sixty primeval stones like it was nothing, handing them over with the confidence of someone who just won a 1v1 in Fortnite.

The other Gu Masters in the tent couldn't help but notice. "Oh? Someone's actually gambling," one muttered.

"It's a student. He just dropped sixty stones like it's nothing. Must be from a rich family," another whispered.

"Pfft, he's probably just a greenhorn. Gambling rocks isn't that easy. He's gonna get cooked," a third scoffed.

Fang Yuan ignored them, his focus laser-sharp. He activated the Moonrizz Gu, and a faint blue glow emanated from his right palm. He grabbed the first rock and began grinding it down, the blue light shaving off layers of purple gold like it was a TikTok trend.

The female Gu Master watched in awe. "Young master, you have such skill!" she gushed, her voice dripping with admiration.

The other Gu Masters were less impressed. "Using the Moonrizz Gu to open rocks? That's so basic," one muttered.

"He's just wasting his time. There's no way he'll find anything," another added.

But Fang Yuan didn't care. He kept grinding, the rock shrinking from the size of a palm to a fist, then to a pebble. Finally, all that was left was a pile of rock powder on the carpet.

"Solid rock. No Gu worm inside," someone said, shaking their head.

The female Gu Master tried to console him. "Young master, there's still five pieces left. Don't lose heart!"

Fang Yuan's expression didn't change. He grabbed the second rock and repeated the process. Again, nothing but rock powder.

The third rock? Same story.

By now, the other Gu Masters were losing interest. "This kid's just throwing stones into the void," one said, rolling his eyes.

"If he gets a Gu from this, I'll eat the rock powder," another joked.

But Fang Yuan wasn't deterred. He grabbed the fourth rock and started grinding. This time, something was different. The purple gold sediment gave way to an ink-black core.

"Oh? There's something here!" someone exclaimed.

The female Gu Master leaned in, her eyes wide. "Young master, be careful! If there's a Gu worm inside, it's very fragile. Don't use too much force."

Fang Yuan slowed his movements, his fingers gently rubbing away the black rock powder. The tension in the tent was thicker than a Grimace Shake. Everyone watched as the rock got smaller and smaller, until finally…

"Sigh, it's just a rock within a rock. Nothing here," someone said, disappointed.

The female Gu Master tried to cheer Fang Yuan up. "Young master, your luck isn't bad. Getting a rock within a rock is rare. Most people don't even get that."

Fang Yuan didn't respond. He grabbed the fifth rock and started grinding. Ten breaths later, the purple gold sediment was gone, revealing a rough-surfaced yellow mud ball.

Ooooo What Was Inside?

The tension in the tent was thicker than a Grimace Shake. Fang Yuan held the yellow mudball in his hands, grinding it down with the precision of a sigma male. The blue light from the Moonrizz Gu shimmered like a TikTok filter, and the rock powder fell like confetti at a Gen Alpha party.

The Gu Masters around him were losing their minds. "Don't tell me there's really something inside?!" one whispered, his voice trembling like he'd just seen Baby Gronk do a backflip.

"It's hard to say," another muttered, his tone dripping with skepticism. "But the surface is uneven. That's sus."

Fang Yuan kept grinding, his movements slow and deliberate. The mudball shrank under his fingers, and soon, soil crumbs started mixing with the rock powder. The crowd leaned in, their eyes wide like they were watching a Livvy Dunne rizz stare.

"There's really something!" someone exclaimed, their voice cracking like a Discord mod's mic.

The yellow mudball got smaller and smaller, and just as it reached palm size, someone barged into the tent like they were late to a Fanum Tax meal. "Hold up, young lad! I, Jia Jin Sheng, will buy that from you!"

Fang Yuan paused, and everyone turned to look at the newcomer. Jia Jin Sheng was dressed in a golden robe, a jade belt around his waist with the character "One" engraved on it. He was a Rank one Gu Master, but his vibe screamed "beta energy."

The Gu Masters in the tent bowed and greeted him. "Your subordinate greets you, second young master."

Jia Jin Sheng smirked, his confidence radiating like a low taper fade. "Little brother, gambling at such a young age? Aren't you afraid of getting scolded by your family? I'll offer forty primeval stones for that mudball. What do you say?"

Fang Yuan raised an eyebrow, his sigma energy flaring. "Forceful purchase? That's against the rules. And you're trying to bully a Gu Yue clansman on Qing Mao Mountain? Bold move."

The Gu Masters around them tensed up, their animosity toward Jia Jin Sheng growing like a TikTok trend. Jia Jin Sheng's smirk faltered. "No, no, you misunderstand! I'm just interested in the mudball. If you don't want to sell, that's fine. But if there's nothing inside, don't blame me for not warning you."

Fang Yuan ignored him and went back to grinding the mudball. The tension in the room was palpable as the Gu worm inside slowly revealed itself.

"My god, there really is a Gu worm!" someone shouted, their voice cracking like a Gen Alpha's first scream.

"He actually opened a live Gu!" another gasped, their eyes wide like they'd just seen a skibidi toilet in real life.

The female Gu Master covered her mouth in shock. "Young master, congratulations! This is the first time I've seen such a precious Gu worm!"

Jia Jin Sheng's face turned pale. "It's the Mudskin Toad… a Rank two Gu worm worth five hundred primeval stones. Damn it, I've lost big time!"

Fang Yuan, calm as ever, looked at Jia Jin Sheng. "Mudskin Toad, Rank two Gu worm. Requires five hundred grams of yellow soil per meal. Market price: five hundred primeval stones. Do you want to buy it?"

Jia Jin Sheng stammered, his beta energy showing. "You… you know so much about it…"

Fang Yuan smirked. "If you're not interested, I'll sell it to someone else."

"Wait, wait! I'll buy it!" Jia Jin Sheng cried, his voice cracking like a Discord mod's mic. "But can't we lower the price?"

Fang Yuan turned to leave, but Jia Jin Sheng chased after him. "Fine, fine! I'll buy it!"

The transaction was completed, and Fang Yuan walked away with five heavy bags of primeval stones. The Gu Masters in the tent were left stunned, their envy radiating like a TikTok filter.

The Final Dwayne Johnson

Back in his dorm, Fang Yuan sat cross-legged on his bed, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. The green copper primeval sea in his aperture ebbed and flowed, the Liquor worm curling into a ball and emitting wine vapor like it was at a Gen Alpha rave.

Fang Yuan refined his primeval essence, the pale green middle stage essence sinking to the bottom of his aperture. "Much thanks to the middle stage primeval essence," he thought. "Without it, I wouldn't have been able to open those rocks."

He opened his eyes and looked at the final purple gold fossil in his hands. "Time to see if this one's a dud."

He activated the Moonrizz Gu and began grinding the rock. The purple gold sediment fell away, leaving nothing but a pile of powder. Fang Yuan wasn't surprised. "Nine out of ten rocks are duds. That's just how it is."

But this pile of powder was his real prize. He could now claim the Liquor worm was awakened from this fossil, covering his tracks like a true sigma male.

"The Flower Wine Monk's legacy and the Mudskin Toad are mine," Fang Yuan thought, his mind racing. "But I need to keep moving forward. These five hundred primeval stones won't last forever."

He lay down on his bed, the fatigue hitting him like a Grimace Shake. "Qing Mao Mountain has no more treasures, but Bai Gu Mountain has a Rank four Gu Master's inheritance. That's my next move."

As he drifted off to sleep, Fang Yuan's lips curled into a smirk. "The grind never stops. Skibidi rizz, indeed."
