Chapter 14: Jia Jin Sheng (Spoiler bro died)
Monkey Wine Rizz, Liquor Worm Flex, No Cap (Sigma Energy Only)
The next day, Fang Yuan was back in the merchant caravan's shopping district, flexing his sigma energy like he owned the place. The area was quieter than a Discord server during a Baby Gronk livestream, with most villagers out working their 9-to-5 grind.
Fang Yuan strolled over to where the Intimate Grass vendor had been the night before, only to find an empty cart being dragged by an ostrich. The bird was standing there like it was the main character, its feathers glowing like a TikTok filter. Fang Yuan sighed. "Too late. Missed the Intimate Grass. Could've saved some primeval stones. Skill issue."
He moved on, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. Soon, he heard a shop assistant hawking wine like he was trying to rizz the entire village. "Come, taste the finest wines from all over! Lantern Grass Wine, Nine Tune Wine, Ancient Dragon Well, Flower Rock Tune, Hundred Spring Old Cellar, Intoxication of Three Autumns… we've got it all!"
Fang Yuan's eyes lit up. "Wine? That's my jam." He walked into the wine shop, which was decked out like a Gen Alpha rave. The walls were covered in crystal ladybugs, their transparent bodies filled with different liquors. The floor was covered in colorful mushrooms that looked like they'd been hit with a Grimace Shake.
Fang Yuan sat down on one of the mushroom stools, which sank under his weight like a memory foam pillow. A shop assistant handed him a wine catalogue, but Fang Yuan didn't even glance at it. "I'll have a cup of monkey wine," he said, his voice dripping with sigma energy.
The shop assistant shouted the order, and the Gu Master at the counter filled a bamboo cup with monkey wine from one of the crystal ladybugs. Fang Yuan took a sip. The wine was sweet and refreshing, like a Fanum Tax meal after a long grind.
But Fang Yuan wasn't here to drink. He summoned the Liquor worm, which landed in the cup with a plop. The worm wriggled happily, slurping up the wine like it was a Grimace Shake. In seconds, the cup was empty.
The Gu Master at the counter gasped. "It's the Liquor worm!" he exclaimed, his eyes sparkling like he'd just seen a Livvy Dunne rizz stare. "Young master, are you selling it?"
Fang Yuan shook his head, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. "Not for sale," he said, getting up to leave.
The Gu Master chased after him, begging and pleading, but Fang Yuan wasn't having it. He walked out of the shop, leaving the Gu Master standing there like a beta who'd just been ratioed.
Trolling Jia Jin Sheng
Later that night, the merchant caravan was buzzing like a TikTok comment section. Fang Yuan squeezed through the crowd, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. He overheard snippets of conversations:
"Did you hear? Some kid opened a Mudskin Toad last night and made bank!"
"Yeah, five hundred primeval stones! That's some skibidi rizz right there."
"I heard he's got a Liquor worm too. What a sigma."
Fang Yuan smirked. "They're talking about me. Of course they are."
But his smirk faded when he heard a commotion up ahead. A young Gu Master was shouting, "This merchant sold me a fake Gu! He lied to me!"
Fang Yuan pushed through the crowd to see Jia Jin Sheng, the gambling den owner, standing there looking smug. The young Gu Master was holding a black Gu worm, his face red with rage. "You said this was a Black Boar Gu, but it's just a stinky fat worm!"
Jia Jin Sheng laughed, his beta energy radiating like a low taper fade. "I never said it was a Black Boar Gu. Prove it."
The young Gu Master grabbed Jia Jin Sheng's wrist, but Jia Jin Sheng slapped him away. "My brother is Jia Fu, a Rank four Gu Master. What are you gonna do about it?"
The crowd murmured, their anger simmering like a TikTok trend. But no one dared to step forward. The name "Jia Fu" was like a Grimace Shake—intimidating and hard to swallow.
Just then, Jia Fu himself arrived, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. "What's going on here?" he asked, his voice calm but commanding.
The young Gu Master explained the situation, and Jia Fu nodded solemnly. "I see. My brother was wrong to deceive you. On behalf of the Jia family, I apologize."
He handed the young Gu Master five bags of primeval stones, each containing a hundred stones. The crowd erupted in cheers, their admiration for Jia Fu growing like a TikTok trend.
Jia Jin Sheng's face turned pale, his beta energy showing. He stomped off into the tent, his pride shattered like a Discord mod's mic.
Fang Yuan watched silently, his mind racing. "This is my chance."
He followed Jia Jin Sheng into the wine shop, where the merchant was drowning his sorrows in monkey wine. Fang Yuan sat down beside him, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign.
"Do you want to deal with your brother?" Fang Yuan asked, his voice calm but dripping with rizz.
Jia Jin Sheng looked at him, his eyes narrowing. "What do you mean?"
Fang Yuan leaned in, his voice low. "I have a business proposition for you. One that could turn the tables in your favor."
Jia Jin Sheng hesitated, his beta energy wavering. "What kind of proposition?"
Fang Yuan smirked. "Two thousand primeval stones. No haggling."
Jia Jin Sheng's eyes widened. "That's a lot of stones. What's the catch?"
Fang Yuan leaned back, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. "The greater the risk, the greater the rewards. Are you in?"
Jia Jin Sheng stared at him for a moment, then nodded. "I'm in."
Fang Yuan smiled. "Game on."
Sending Jia Jin Sheng To His Ancestors!
Fang Yuan led Jia Jin Sheng through the narrow crack in the mountain, their footsteps echoing in the darkness. Jia Jin Sheng was sweating bullets, his beta energy radiating like a low taper fade. "Bro," he finally blurted out, "why'd you pick me over Jia Fu? He's got that sigma reputation, and I'm out here scamming people like a beta."
Fang Yuan's voice cut through the darkness like a knife. "Jia Fu's too high-level. If he saw the image wall, he'd either take the deal or rat me out to the Gu Yue clan. I don't trust 'integrity.' Reputation's just a flex for when the stakes are low."
Jia Jin Sheng chuckled nervously. "Damn, bro. That's some sigma wisdom right there."
They finally reached the secret cave, and Jia Jin Sheng's eyes lit up like he'd just seen a Livvy Dunne rizz stare. "No cap, you weren't lying!" he exclaimed, staring at the image wall. The scenes of the Flower Wine Monk and the 4th generation clan leader played out like a cursed TikTok video.
Fang Yuan stood behind him, his sigma energy radiating like a neon sign. "Your 4th ancestor wasn't all that," Jia Jin Sheng mocked, trying to rizz Fang Yuan.
Fang Yuan shrugged. "Heroes, villains—it's all just PR. The Gu Yue clan needed a hero, so they made one. The Bai family needs a villain, so they'll make one too."
Jia Jin Sheng laughed. "Bro, you're spitting facts!" His eyes then landed on the Flower Wine Monk's corpse. "You must've scored big time with his inheritance, huh?"
Fang Yuan shook his head. "Most of the Gu worms are dead. I only got the Liquor worm."
Jia Jin Sheng wasn't buying it. "Come on, bro. We're accomplices now. Spill the tea. What else did you get?"
Fang Yuan stayed silent, his sigma energy unshaken.
Jia Jin Sheng pressed on. "I know the Flower Wine Monk had a Thousand Li Earthwolf spider. That's a Rank five steed-type Gu. How'd you miss that?"
Fang Yuan frowned. "The spider's not here. Maybe the 4th generation killed it."
Jia Jin Sheng smirked. "Bro, you're hiding something. This cave was dug by the spider. Where'd it go?"
Fang Yuan's frown deepened. Something didn't add up. Before he could figure it out, the image wall glitched like a corrupted TikTok video. A new scene appeared—a pale, bloodless Gu Master sprawled on the ground.
"I am the Flower Wine Monk," the figure rasped, his voice dripping with sigma energy. "Future person, if you've made it this far, you're no friend of the Gu Yue clan. My inheritance is yours, but you must exterminate the Gu Yue clan. Leave no one alive."
Jia Jin Sheng's jaw dropped. "A Rank five inheritance?! This is my chance to flex on Jia Fu!" His mind raced like a Discord mod on caffeine. "I'll take the inheritance, ignore the whole 'exterminate the clan' thing, and become a sigma male. But first, I gotta take out Fang Yuan…"
He turned to Fang Yuan, a fake smile plastered on his face. "Bro, let's split the—"
Before he could finish, two blue moonblades sliced through the air. Jia Jin Sheng's head flew off like a Grimace Shake in a blender. His body crumpled to the ground, blood pooling like a cursed smoothie.
Fang Yuan stood over the corpse, his expression as calm as a sigma male meditating on Wi-Fi. "Don't think too much when killing people," he muttered, his gaze shifting to the image wall. "This just got interesting."
