Chapter 35: The Training Begins

Over the next few days, Emily underwent an intensive training program, designed to prepare her for the mission ahead. She was taught surveillance techniques, how to use various gadgets and tools, and how to defend herself in hand-to-hand combat.

Jack was by her side every step of the way, offering guidance and support. Emily was grateful for his presence, and she found herself growing more and more comfortable around him.

As the training progressed, Emily began to feel a sense of confidence that she had never felt before. She was starting to realize that she was capable of more than she ever thought possible.

But despite the progress she was making, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She kept having the nagging sense that she was being watched, and she couldn't seem to shake the feeling of unease that had settled in the pit of her stomach.

One night, as she was walking back to her quarters, Emily saw a figure lurking in the shadows. She spun around, her heart racing, but the figure was gone.

Suddenly, Jack appeared by her side. "What's wrong?" he asked, his eyes scanning the area.

Emily hesitated, unsure of what to say. "I thought I saw someone," she said finally. "But I must have been mistaken."

Jack's expression was serious. "Don't underestimate your instincts, Emily," he said. "If you think you saw someone, then you probably did. Let's get you back to your quarters and make sure you're safe."

As they walked, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see someone lurking in the shadows.

But every time she turned around, there was no one there.

Or so she thought.

As they approached her quarters, Emily saw a piece of paper taped to the door. She walked over to investigate, and her heart sank as she read the message scrawled on the paper:

"We're watching you, Emily. You can't trust anyone."

Emily's eyes widened in fear as she turned to Jack. "What does this mean?" she asked, her voice shaking.

Jack's expression was grim. "It means we have a mole," he said. "Someone on the inside is working against us. And we need to find out who it is, before it's too late."
