Chapter 37: The Investigation

Jack's eyes narrowed as he began his investigation into the mole. He knew it wouldn't be an easy task, but he was determined to find out who was behind the betrayal.

He started by reviewing the security footage, looking for any suspicious activity. As he scrolled through the tapes, he noticed a figure lurking in the shadows. The figure was partially obscured, but Jack's trained eyes picked up on something familiar.

He rewound the tape and took a closer look. The figure was wearing a distinctive watch, one that Jack had seen before.

"Ah-ha," Jack muttered to himself. "I think I've found our mole."

He quickly made his way to the person's quarters, his heart racing with anticipation. As he arrived, he knocked on the door.

"Come in," a voice called out.

Jack entered the room, his eyes scanning the space. And then, he saw the person he had suspected.

It was Rachel.

"Rachel, what's going on?" Jack asked, his voice firm.

Rachel's expression changed from calm to shocked in an instant. "Jack, I...I don't know what you're talking about," she stammered.

But Jack wasn't buying it. He had seen the watch, and he knew that Rachel was the mole.

"Rachel, don't lie to me," Jack said, his voice firm. "I know it's you. You're the one who's been feeding information to The Syndicate."

Rachel's eyes widened in fear, and for a moment, Jack thought he saw a glimmer of remorse. But then, her expression hardened, and she smiled.

"You'll never be able to prove it," she said, her voice dripping with malice.

But Jack just smiled. "Oh, I think I already have," he said, holding up his phone. "You see, I've been recording our conversation. And I think the evidence will speak for itself."

Rachel's face went white as Jack called for backup. The game was over, and the mole had been caught.
