The Hunt Begins

The sun hadn't even risen when Rina and her team geared up. The city streets were eerily quiet, but tension buzzed in the air like an impending storm.

Briggs adjusted his earpiece. "Everyone in position?"

Rina tightened her gloves and nodded. "Locked and loaded." Her uniform was standard military gear—no transformation, no flashy displays of power. She had to keep it that way.

The team spread out, blending into the shadows of Sector 7's abandoned buildings. Intel suggested Sybil was here, gathering recruits, using the Pulse Red serum to create more enhanced soldiers. They had to take her down now, before things got worse.

A scout whispered through comms, "Movement. Warehouse, east side."

Rina gestured for a silent advance. The squad moved with precision, weapons ready. As they neared the entrance, muffled voices could be heard inside.

Briggs pulled up a drone feed on his wrist display. "It's her. Sybil. And…damn. She's got at least a dozen people in there."

Rina smirked. "Twelve against us? They should've brought more."

The team exchanged looks. Same Rina. Always cocky.

Briggs signaled. "On my mark. Three… two… one—"

BOOM!

The warehouse doors exploded outward before they could even breach. The shockwave sent them flying, crashing against the pavement.

And then floating above the wreckage was Sybil.

Eyes glowing. Hands crackling with power. A wicked smile on her face.

"I was expecting you."
