Rina's eyes were locked on the screen, analyzing shipment logs, when her phone buzzed. Briggs.
She sighed and picked it up.
"Captain Hunter."
"Yeah, yeah, drop the formalities for once," Briggs chuckled. "Listen, I know you're drowning in work, but you need to take a break. Come over."
"Briggs, I'm in the middle of—"
"It's my kid's birthday, Rina. You promised."
She paused, rubbing her temple. Right. She did promise.
"...Shit. What time?"
"Now. And don't you dare show up in that military getup. Wear something normal for once."
Rina scoffed. "I always dress normally."
"You wear combat boots to the grocery store."
She rolled her eyes but couldn't help the smirk tugging at her lips. Briggs always knew how to drag her out of work.
"Fine. I'll be there."
