A Change of Pace

Rina slipped into a sleek red dress something she barely wore, but hey, Briggs did say to dress normal. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she almost laughed. Captain Hunter in a dress? Unbelievable.

Grabbing her coat, she stepped out and made her way to a nearby store.

She scanned the shelves, eyes drifting over action figures, toy cars, and books. What do kids even like these days? She picked up a box labeled "Interactive Holo-Drone" and read the description. Seemed fun. Maybe too fun.

"Too much?" she muttered, putting it back.

As she walked out with the neatly wrapped gift in hand, she exhaled.

"Alright. Let's do this."
