Rina sprinted out of the armory, her grip tight around the X-92. The distant sound of sirens and crackling flames filled the air whatever had exploded wasn't small.
Her comm buzzed again.
"Captain, we got unidentified hostiles moving towards the main square. Some of them—damn it some of them have augmentations."
Rina's jaw clenched. Pulse Red. Of course, it had to be them.
"Hold the line. I'm en route."
She reached the nearest military transport, yanked open the door, and revved the engine. The tires screeched against the pavement as she sped toward the chaos.
As she got closer, she could already see the destruction smoke, shattered glass, and figures moving through the flames. Her heartbeat remained steady.
Time to clean this up.
