Rina let out a short, humorless laugh. She leaned against the hospital wall, arms crossed. "I'm kinda old, Briggs."
Briggs raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? How old are we talking?"
Rina tilted her head slightly, as if thinking. Then she smirked. "Older than your grandma."
Briggs blinked. "Bullshit."
She shrugged. "Believe what you want."
Briggs ran a hand down his face. "You're messing with me."
Rina chuckled. "Wish I was." Then her expression sobered. "I've been around for a long time, Briggs. Longer than I should be."
Briggs exhaled, eyes narrowing. "So... you're not just some enhanced soldier. You're something else."
Rina didn't respond immediately. Then, finally, she said, "Yeah. Something else."
