Trapped in the Fox Demon Kingdom

I was trapped in the Fox Demon Kingdom, and no matter how hard I tried to escape, Rei always caught me.

Every time I thought I had a chance, I ran as fast as I could, desperately trying to find a way out. But no matter what I did, he was always faster, always stronger. It felt like there was no way out.

This time was no different.

I ran to the door, my heart pounding. Just a few more steps… but before I could reach it, a strong arm wrapped around my waist, lifting me off the ground easily.

"Not again," Rei said, sighing as he pulled me back.

I kicked and struggled, trying to break free. "Let me go!" I yelled angrily.

But Rei didn't let go. He turned me around to face him. His calm face was now different, and I could see he was annoyed.

"Why do you keep running?" he asked, his voice sharp. "Why can't you just stay here?"

I clenched my fists. "Then just chain me up in your kingdom if you want me to stay!" I shouted, angry.

Rei was silent for a moment. His blue eyes looked at me carefully, and then a slow, wicked smile appeared on his lips.

I froze. Did I just say something I shouldn't have?

Before I could take back my words, Rei walked to the corner of the room. My eyes widened in horror as he picked up a metal chain.

"Wait... Rei, you're not serious, right?" My voice wavered.

But Rei didn't answer. He grabbed my wrist and locked a cold metal cuff around it. He pulled the other end of the chain and attached it to the bedpost.

I stared at the cold, metal chain around my wrist in shock. "Rei... are you really doing this?"

He gave me a cold smile. "You were the one who said it," he said, his voice calm.

I sighed deeply, feeling completely defeated. I slumped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"What do you really want from me?" I asked tiredly. "Do you just want me to stay in your kingdom? If that's it, then why don't you just kill me?"

Rei's expression changed. His eyes darkened, and for a moment, I saw something deep inside them—something I didn't understand.

"No," he said firmly. "I don't want you to die."

His words shocked me. I slowly turned my head to look at him, confusion filling me.

"Your eyes...," I whispered. "It's like you know me better than I know myself."

Rei didn't deny it. Instead, he gave me a small, knowing smile.

"Because I do know who you really are."

A strange feeling tightened in my chest. What is he talking about?

Before I could ask, Rei chuckled softly. He reached out and patted my head gently.

"Don't think too much about it," he said, as if it wasn't important.

I frowned and shook my head. "I'm not a kid!" I said, upset.

Rei just laughed again, his smile still mysterious. What was he hiding from me?
