I was still lying on the bed, my wrist firmly chained to the bedpost. The cold metal of the chain was digging into my skin, and every movement made it feel tighter. Rei stood by the door, watching me silently. His eyes didn't leave me for a single second. It felt like I was trapped under his gaze, unable to escape.
I tried everything to get free—pulling, twisting, even kicking—but nothing worked. The chain wouldn't break. Rei stood still, his eyes focused on me, but he said nothing. He was just watching me struggle, and it made everything worse. I felt like I was losing, trapped in his control.
Then, an idea came to my mind. Maybe instead of fighting and struggling, I should try something else. Something... risky, but maybe it would work. What if I used my charm to make him let me go? It felt like a long shot, but I had nothing left to lose.
I sat up on the bed, taking a deep breath. Rei was still staring at me, so I gave him a small, teasing smile. My voice was soft but playful as I said, "You know, you don't have to keep me chained up like this. It's a little harsh, don't you think?"
Rei raised an eyebrow, clearly confused. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice cold, but with a hint of curiosity.
I leaned forward slightly, keeping my eyes locked on his. This was it, I thought. Time to flirt. "Well," I said, my tone soft and sweet, "if you really want me to stay, maybe you could loosen the chains a little? I promise I'll behave, I won't cause trouble."
I could see the slight hesitation in his eyes. Rei didn't answer right away. Instead, he just stared at me, almost like he was thinking about it. The silence between us felt like it stretched forever, and my heart raced with every passing second.
I gently pulled at the chain, making it rattle. "You wouldn't want me to be uncomfortable, would you?" I smiled, my voice barely above a whisper, but full of suggestion.
I watched his face closely. For a moment, I saw something flicker in his eyes. Did I catch him off guard?
Then, Rei slowly stepped closer. His eyes were dark now, but I could still see the struggle in them. He hadn't said anything yet, but I could tell that he was weighing my words. I couldn't help but feel a little excited by the fact that I had his attention.
Just a little more, I thought.
I smiled even more, leaning back on the bed casually. "Come on, Rei. Don't be so strict. Just loosen the chain a little. I promise I'll behave. You don't need to keep me trapped here like this."
Rei's eyes flickered with something... unreadable. He took another step forward, his body just inches from mine now. I could feel the heat of his presence, and I tried to stay calm.
He looked down at me, his lips curling into a small smile, but it wasn't a warm smile. It was something much more dangerous. "You're a little naughty, Lunara," he muttered under his breath.
Before I could react, he quickly moved. Rei grabbed the chain and, with one swift movement, unlocked the metal cuff from my wrist. The cold metal dropped to the floor with a soft clink, and for the first time since I was chained up, I felt free.
I blinked in surprise, not believing that it had worked. "Wait..." I whispered, looking at him. "You... actually did it?"
He stepped back, his expression a mix of amusement and something else, something hard to read. "You really thought you could flirt your way out of this?" His voice was soft, but there was an edge to it.
I laughed softly, trying to hide my surprise. "I guess it worked, didn't it?" I looked up at him, feeling a little bit of triumph. But then I remembered who he was, and that feeling quickly faded.
Rei didn't move back. Instead, he stayed where he was, his eyes dark and intense. "Don't get too comfortable, Lunara," he warned, his voice low. "I let you out this time... but that doesn't mean I'm done with you yet."
I felt my heart race again. What does he mean by that?
I wanted to say something, but the words stuck in my throat. Rei took one last look at me before stepping back, his eyes never leaving mine. "You've won this round, Lunara. But don't forget—I'm not the one who's going to be easily fooled."
I wasn't sure what he meant, but I felt a sense of unease settle in my chest. He had unlocked the chain, but that didn't mean I was free. I knew he was playing a game. And I was going to have to be careful.
I stared at him, trying to understand what was going on in his mind, but he was already walking away, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
What was his next move going to be?
