Boom
Kong rocketed through the ground, carving a massive path through it. Big Mom followed close behind, her eyes locked on him. Seeing that, Kong sprouted a leg from his stomach, which kicked the ground just in time to dodge Big Mom's incoming sword strike.
"Haha, I'm so not creative! So, let me steal someone else's moveset." Kong laughed, shamelessly admitting he had just copied one of Katakuri's moves. His arm morphed into a liquid-like form, then quickly compressed to its limit. He reinforced it with Armament Haki, hardening the creation until it gleamed with power. At the same time, he increased the density of his fist and infused it with Conqueror's Haki before launching it toward Big Mom.
Their fists met once more, splitting the sky with another earth-rattling clash.
This time, Big Mom was the one sent flying backward, stunned by the sheer force behind the punch. She stared at Kong, only to see a wide grin spread across his face. Rage bubbled up within her, but she paused when she noticed something strange—Kong's arm suddenly enlarged… then fell off.
Her eyes narrowed as the massive arm began to shift, compressing itself into the shape of a sword. With his freshly regrown arm, Kong reached out and grabbed the weapon without missing a beat.
"Okay, I'll stop holding back," Kong said, unleashing the full might of his Conqueror's Haki.
In an instant, Big Mom froze. The sky darkened, and lightning began to rain down upon this world. Her eyes widened in disbelief—she had only ever felt Haki like this from one man… No, this was stronger than his. That man had needed the combined might of Garp and the Pirate King to be brought down.
"Just who are you?" she demanded, a hint of fear creeping into her voice. Only now did she realize—Kong hadn't been injured at all during their fight. He had let her overwhelm him. He had used her… to train.
"A man who's a hundred times stronger than what you've seen," Kong replied with a grin. "I'm Kong—the one who'll overthrow the World Government."
That's right. Kong had held back, restraining his strength to see how far he could push himself without relying on his 100x cheat… Sadly, he wasn't strong enough to defeat Big Mom, although even she couldn't so easily defeat him as he outsped her.
Ever since mastering Armament Haki, Kong wasn't entirely sure how strong he had become… but the fact that he'd been able to hold his own, and that last attack overwhelmed her… well, his interest in continuing the battle quickly faded.
Sure, he knew Big Mom wasn't going all out, but was she holding back enough to dismiss the fact that he had held back by 100 times plus the new skill he copied? He doubted it.
"Now, submit. I want the Big Mom Pirates working under me," Kong said with a grin.
Instantly, Big Mom's eyes widened. A flash of memory struck her—of the man who had once beaten her black and blue. Her face twisted in rage, a mask to hide her deeper thoughts, and she stepped back without realizing it.
"Zeus, Prometheus, Napoleon!" Big Mom stepped forward, commanding the cloud, sun, and sword to fuse together. A surge of power erupted as the three homies combined, forming a single devastating force. Kong raised an eyebrow—this was the first time she'd unleashed a combined attack.
"Bringer of the End! Ragnarok!" Big Mom roared, swinging with everything she had. A massive, burning red, lightning-infused slash tore through the air, obliterating everything in its path.
Kong, too lazy to bother taking the hit, casually sidestepped the attack. He watched as it flew past him, tearing off the island and striking another one in the distance. A second later, a colossal explosion lit up the horizon.
Everything on that island—mountains, people, whatever was there—was swallowed by the massive explosion. Towering waves rose in its wake, large enough to engulf entire islands. But the most terrifying part wasn't just the destruction—it was the fact that the island itself had vanished. The explosion had been so immense that even if the island were ten times larger, it still would have been erased without a trace.
"You know, I'm strong and all… but I don't think my attack power has that kind of area of effect," Kong said, rubbing his chin. "Also, that might've been the first named attack I've ever seen… I probably should've tanked it."
He spoke casually, completely ignoring the fact that Big Mom had poured all of her Haki into that one blow.
"Well, I guess I could try creating a named attack with my sword—one that would knock the shoes right off Mihawk," Kong said casually, completely ignoring Big Mom.
Her face turned bright red with rage at being dismissed so easily.
"Come!" she roared, summoning all the souls she had scattered across Whole Cake Island. Every living thing she had imbued with life—talking trees, animated candy, and more—had their souls pulled back toward her.
They flew into her palm one by one, and she consumed them, feeding on the power to make herself even stronger.
Kong paused mid-thought, watching as Big Mom's body grew larger, her power swelling with each passing second. Since the transformation looked like it would take a while, Kong took the opportunity to brainstorm a cool sword attack. He casually began slicing at the air, testing out a few ideas.
"You want me to submit?! Over my dead body!" Big Mom roared, unleashing her fury as she fed a piece of her soul to Zeus, Prometheus, and Napoleon—each of them swelling with newfound strength.
Without a second thought, Big Mom leapt into the sky, her massive sword crashing down where Kong had just stood. The impact rocked the island, shaking the ground beneath them—but she paid it no mind, her eyes lifting toward the dark clouds above.
There, Kong seemingly floated in the sky, lightning raining down upon his sword.
"I just came up with this technique, so I'll keep the name simple… Lightning God Style: Lightning Cut."
As the words left his mouth, the lightning around his blade erupted—so much energy gathered that it even swallowed him whole. Then, in a flash of blinding speed, Kong kicked off the air, closing the distance in an instant. His sword cut down toward Big Mom, so fast she could barely follow the motion.
Big Mom poured all of her Haki into her sword as it clashed with Kong's. The shockwave was heaven-shaking—the sky split apart, massive waves rolling toward them were forced back, and Whole Cake Island was flattened under the pressure. The destruction was beyond words.
"I see why techniques are so useful. Can you believe I never needed one before?" Kong said, now standing behind Big Mom. He looked down at his sword, still humming with Haki, its energy slowly fading.
He turned his gaze toward Big Mom, who stood frozen. Her sword had fallen to the ground, split clean through. A deep gash stretched from her shoulder to her hip, and she struggled to look back at Kong, her expression twisted in shock and disbelief.
"Y-you…" Big Mom struggled to speak, but the next moment, she collapsed.
Kong's sword strike, amplified by lightning, had massively increased his cutting power. He'd sliced through her weapon with ease, then carved cleanly through her flesh. The lightning had cooked her blood—an attack that would have killed her if not for the sheer strength of her Haki.
"A technique… something that takes what you already have and magnifies it," Kong said, his mind already racing with possibilities. "I wonder what kind of techniques I could come up with."
But Kong soon paused as he saw Big Mom toss a soul into her mouth—a soul worth ten years of her lifespan. Instantly, her size began to grow, rising to the scale of giants. Before she got all the buffs from the souls she'd consumed, she stood at around 28 feet. Now, she towered at a staggering 50 feet.
She rose to her full height, casting a deep, terrifying glare down upon Kong.
