turning point

Glenn's prowess with his Job Mania abilities grew sharper; he could now convert other jobs into entirely new ones.

"With this job, I can attack more freely," Glenn declared confidently.

The audience roared, anticipating an epic battle.

"Before that,"

"Solimancer (temporary)"

"- emitted light"

"- simple light spell"

"Ignites light magic through the hands"

"Creates a very bright light"

"- incandescent"

"Creates a super blinding incandescent light, guaranteed to cause blindness"

"- invoke element solar"

"Summons solar power, can trigger the Light Finale effect"

"Alright,"

"execute emitted light"

"Retreat, my Golems!" The Golems retreated, following the Library Book Keeper's command.

"Forbidden Spell"

The Golems instantly crumbled, transforming into flying books that swarmed Glenn.

"Light Shoot"

"Damn, these books are immune to magic!"

The books absorbed Glenn's magic, becoming even more resistant.

Forming a tight formation, the books launched another assault.

"Execute incandescent"

The books continued to absorb Glenn's magic, some vanishing in the process.

"Oh, so that's how you want to play, Library Book Keeper?"

Glenn provoked the Library Book Keeper, enraging him.

"Crush him, my Golems!"

"Forbidden Spell"

The books merged into a colossal formation, forming a true Giga Golem.

The Golem attacked Glenn, but this was precisely what Glenn had been waiting for.

"Invoke Element Solar..."

A blinding white light pierced the Golem, incinerating it instantly.

Or so Glenn thought.

The Library Book Keeper shielded the Golem.

"Arcane Spell"

A barrage of light struck the Library Book Keeper.

Glenn was shocked; his ultimate attack had no significant effect.

Glenn's magic energy was depleted; he couldn't cast any more spells.

"Wait, don't joke around now, you damn system!"

Glenn gasped, feeling his magic energy almost entirely gone. The giant Golem stood firm, protected by the Library Book Keeper. "Damn, I've used everything I have," Glenn muttered, staring at the seemingly invincible Golem and Library Book Keeper.

However, Glenn didn't give up. His mind raced, searching for a weakness in his opponent's defense. "He's shielding the Golem with a barrier spell... but what if I could break his concentration?" he thought. He recalled the light he had produced earlier as a Solimancer. "Light... I can use light to disrupt his vision."

With the last remnants of his Solimancer energy, Glenn focused the light in his hand. "Incandescent!" Glenn shouted, unleashing a blinding incandescent light towards the Library Book Keeper. The light was dazzling, forcing the Library Book Keeper to shield his eyes.

"Here's my chance!" Glenn thought, seizing the moment of the Library Book Keeper's confusion. He dashed forward with the speed of a Jobless Warrior, leaping over the rubble of the destroyed Golem. He knew he didn't have enough energy for a powerful magic attack, so he had to rely on his combat skills.

Glenn jumped onto the Golem's arm, dodging its giant fist. He ran along the Golem's arm, leaping from one body part to another, approaching the Golem's head. The Library Book Keeper, though still blinded, tried to stop him with random magic attacks, but Glenn deftly avoided them.

"He's too big to move quickly," Glenn thought, exploiting his agility. He reached the Golem's head, where the large book that was the source of the Library Book Keeper's power floated. "I don't have enough energy to destroy it with magic... but I have this!"

Glenn drew the sword he had obtained as a Jobless Warrior. With all his might, he stabbed the sword into the large book, repeatedly, shattering its cover, tearing its pages. The book emitted a horrifying cracking sound, and its dim light began to flicker.

The Library Book Keeper screamed in anger, trying to stop Glenn, but it was too late. The book shattered into pieces. The giant Golem trembled, then exploded into thousands of flying books. The Library Book Keeper knelt, staring at his fading hands. "No... this is impossible..." he muttered before vanishing .

Glenn gasped, kneeling on the destroyed Golem's head. He had won, not with overwhelming magic power, but with cunning, agility, and exploiting his opponent's weaknesses. He had proven that the intelligence and perseverance of a Jobless Warrior, combined with a little Solimancer power, could overcome even the greatest power.

But the Library Book Keeper had not completely vanished.

Fearing what might happen, Glenn made a deal with the Library Book Keeper, remembering his desire to protect the magic books. Glenn would make the Library Book Keeper a secondary character, using his Job Mania powers to become the librarian, ensuring the books' safety. The deal was fragile, as it was akin to making a promise to a monster feared by everyone. Moreover, Glenn's own doubts arose at the thought of managing the library, unsure if his abilities were sufficient for the task.

Surprisingly, the negotiation succeeded.

"I commend your courage, child. With this,"

"Taboo Spell"

"I give you this."

Normal people who received the Library Book Keeper's blessing could only summon him. But Glenn, as a user of the Job Mania system, would eventually uncover all the mysteries behind the system's existence.

The Library Book Keeper bestowed his blessing.

"New job acquired: 844.Librarian"

"Librarian"

"- accommodation"

"Gains peace of mind, can guide those who have strayed"

"- spatial index"

"Enhances sensitivity to directions, can map with high accuracy, analyzes vital points"

"- comprehension"

"Can understand any language"

"- liberator"

"Increases empathy"

"Why are all the skills like this?"

Glenn was puzzled by the job he received, finding no skills similar to the Library Book Keeper's.

Glenn asked the Library Book Keeper directly.

Glenn was shocked to learn that these skills could even allow him to understand magical writing. He felt his powers were becoming increasingly extraordinary, yet he needed time to understand why he had been given them.
