Chapter 7 : Sleeping Beauty

After a long day, Kyoko returns to her room. The room was choose by Reinhard himself, so it's the best bedroom Kyoko have. The bed and pillows is soft, the balcony view is magnificent and it's biggest room Kyoko have it. She even can running around, unlike the ones in her previous world.

There are too many happens after she get transported into this world. She got weird power, facing Bowel Hunter, saving her brother and lastly become one of five candidates dragon maidens. She thought everything will over goodly after agree to make Reinhard as her knight but her anxiety still there.

She's worried about her brother.

She don't feel worried like this usual when it's come about her brother. Usually, she will ignore or have fight with Subaru everytime she have chances. It's siblings bond, you know?

But, this is another world. Dangerous can be anywhere and that really make Kyoko stressed. What if a monster attack him?

No... He will be okay, right? Reinhard said he with Emilia and live at Roswaal Manor, the Head Mage Court in this kingdom....

The soft blankets was pulled, the girl hiding under it as she trying to sleep. Better sleep than thinking something worse but, that would make she's more stress because she can't sleep because she's worried.

[The next morning]

Reinhard already leave when Kyoko wake up. The Sword Saint stated in his notice paper that he will reported to The Wise Men if Councils about her candidacy as well as obtained the proof of Dragon Maiden, The insignia.

So, she's free right now.

She don't know what to do. If she go to library and try to read the book, she will not understand single words because they using different alphabet than Japanese.

She spending her morning walk around, without any goal. As she visits the places, she trying her best to befriend with anyone and interact with them. Luckily, there are a friendly maids who willing speaking to her.

Thanks to that conversation, she manage to collect several information about this house.

First, Reinhard still have father and grandfather. Unfortunately, her mother get afflicted with Sleeping Beauty illness, or in Kyoko's world term : coma, while his grandmother, the previous Sword Saint, passed away during the Great Conquest.

Second, Reinhard have bad relationship with his father and grandfather. His grandfather left the house after the grandmother died. His father become alcoholic after his mother afflicted with Sleeping Beauty

Third, the story isn't complete. Half of them was told in short sentences by the maids as if they're afraid to talk about that. Maybe it's matter of the House themselves which Kyoko, the outsider, shouldn't know that.

In the end, all Kyoko can do is roaming around like a lost child. Until, she found a mysterious room. That room isn't one of Reinhard's choice when he introduced the manor to Kyoko. The hallway is empty, as if none living or walk here. It's feel abandoned.

Drived by curiosity, Kyoko opening the door.

I mean, rules are made to be broken, right?

One step enter and Kyoko was surprised by the inhumanly beauty of unconscious woman on the bed. Her long blonde hair looks more like a golden strings than just blonde colour. Her face looks very calm as if she just having good sleeps without worry the outside world.

Who?

Kyoko walked closer and placing her index finger under the woman nose, to make sure she's alive. What if she found a dead body that Astrea's family hidden as their dark secret?

Fortunately, the woman still breathing. She's just sleeping. For unknown reason, Kyoko feels that woman isn't in her slumber just because she's tired. Her intuition tell herself that this woman is coma.

And the only one coma woman that Kyoko know is.... Reinhard's mother.

That woman, that inhumanly gorgeous woman just like Reinhard is his mother.

That's mean she will be my mother-in-law if I mearry Reinhard----

Kyoko looked at the unconscious woman back. She was impressed by the beauty that possessed by the woman, no wonder Reinhard can be handsome and beautiful at same time. He definitely take that feature from his mother.

Suddenly, She notice something when she looking closer towards the woman. Unfamiliar colours of mist, that can't be see by naked eyes, coming out the specific are.

The heart.

"This woman...."

Kyoko remember that she was told by the maids, that Reinhard's mother was afflicted with Sleeping Beauty illness. She don't know what exactly that illness but the symptoms almost same as the coma symptoms except for how the body of victim don't changed after a long coma.

Unconsciously, she's did it again. Her body moving as if she know what to do. She placing her palm on top of the woman's chest, closing her eyes and feeling the flowing mana into her body.

I see....

Kyoko realise something wrong with her gate, the door where the mana from atmosphere was drawing into the inside of owner.

It was blocking by something? What the heck is happening here? Wait, why would I know that? AHHHHH!!! IT'S GETTING MORE CONFUSED!!!

Kyoko sighed before moving her palm to the forehead of the unconscious woman. Slowly, her palm was glowing with soft white light, making the unconscious woman become more calmer, specifically, the mana flow.

For now, let's leave like this. I absorb the overflow mana on the blocking gate. If the overflow mana remain on there... What will happen? It's going blow or something worse can be? No... Just leave like that. If she's going die, I will blamed on natural case.

Kyoko, that's not how you treat your future mother-in-law.

Moving on as if she don't commit any crime, the girl walked and leaving the room just how she first enter.

Reinhard reaching his residence after finished the whole headache with The Wise Men Of Council. It's not the Wise Men caused his headache but the nobles who working under it that caused the headache.

His luck on bad side today. He accidentally meet the most troublesome noble that have strongly hatred on Astrea's House when he about to report Kyoko's candidacy. So yeah, he's tired like a hell but still keeping a fake smile.

When he enter the main entrance, he found Kyoko running down from second floor, excitedly as she greeting her knight with healing smile.

"Welcome back, Reinhard! I'm waiting for you!!"

Somehow, her smile really make all Reinhard's headache going like a leaf floating on air. He's bowing a slightly, to greeting his mistress in polite way.

"I'm back, milady. Did you enjoy your first day in Astrea's Manor?"

"Yeah.... maybe? I enjoy chit chatting with the maids but still, I need something more interesting to relieve my boredom."

Reinhard's expression dropped from a smile to sadness, "My apologies for my lacks of observation. I should do something before leaving you alone in foreigner place."

"No, no, no. You don't need to apologize, Reinhard. I told you that I still have fun, but I rather have fun with you!!"

"Then, I will clear my schedule tomorrow."

"Wait, what? Aren't that going bad? You don't need to do that just because I told you I'm bored. I'm fine. It's just small thing." Kyoko said, feeling bad for her stupid choices to complain about her boredom to her busy knight.

"Your needs is my first priorities, milady. If you want something, it's my duty to fulfil it." Reinhard stated in polite way.

Kyoko who hear it, suddenly have naughty thoughts, teasing, "Yeah.... Not until I told you that I want take you in my bed. You definitely refuse that."

The Sword Saint flinched when he hear his mistress words. The heat rising on his face as he covering the blush on his cheeks with palm, "Please have some dignity, milady...."

Kyoko only chuckled, she really have fun teasing her knight in naughty way. Who can blame her when her knight is such hottie and handsome?

"Anyway, I would like to report about your candidacy results. Let's have conversations in my study room?"

"Not the bedroom?"

"....."

Reinhard try his best to control his flustered expression as he answered in embarrassed, "Not in the bedroom.... Milady...."
