Chapter 15: Moving to a New Phase

After the exams were over, Ryo felt as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Every day before had been filled with pressure, with so many things to prepare for. But now, he knew that no matter the results, he had given his best. His dream of getting into the best university remained his top priority, but he also realized that his relationships with Mika, Ayumi, and Haruka had unexpectedly added new colors to his life.

That day, Ryo went home from school earlier than usual. After the long and exhausting exam period, he felt the need to take some time to reflect. Mika, Ayumi, and Haruka had given him the support he needed, and now, Ryo felt more prepared to face whatever lay ahead.

As he arrived home, Ryo sat at his study desk, which was now cleared of books and notes. His eyes wandered outside the window, gazing at the bright sky as if searching for answers beyond. What would happen next? Would he be accepted into his dream university, or would he have to find another path?

His thoughts drifted back to the three girls—Mika, who always showed him sincere care; Ayumi, full of energy, constantly pulling him toward fun; and Haruka, wise and calming, always giving him thoughtful advice. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he was beginning to understand that his life was no longer just about exams and academics—relationships and happiness played a role as well.

That afternoon, Mika sent him a message.

"Ryo, I know you must be exhausted after the exams. How about we take a little walk? I want to take you somewhere nice."

Ryo smiled as he read her message.

"Sure, Mika. I could use some time to relax after this long exam period."

Not long after, they met at the city park, not far from Ryo's house. It was Mika's favorite place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. They sat on a shaded bench, feeling the cool afternoon breeze.

Mika spoke first, her voice soft and warm. "Ryo, I know you've been thinking a lot about your future, and I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I'll always support you. Not just because I care about you, but because I believe you deserve happiness and success."

Ryo was touched by Mika's words. He knew she genuinely cared about him, and that feeling was growing stronger. "I… I want to make the right choices, Mika. My dream of getting into university is important, but I also want to grow closer to you and the others."

Mika smiled and gently rested her head on his shoulder. "You've already made a good decision, Ryo. Don't worry too much. Life is full of choices, and I know you'll find a way to balance everything."

At that moment, Ayumi suddenly appeared, walking toward them with her usual bright energy. "Ryo! Mika! I just got some exciting news! Come with me! We have to celebrate now that exams are over!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Ryo chuckled. "Ayumi, you're always so full of energy," he said, smiling. "But I think you're right. We should enjoy ourselves after everything we've been through."

Mika laughed as well, feeling lifted by Ayumi's cheerful spirit. "We can go after this, right?"

Haruka, who had been observing from a distance, finally approached them. "So, you two already made plans?" she asked with a soft smile, though there was a slight firmness in her tone. "Just don't forget that you still have a future to prepare for."

Ryo felt that everything was becoming clearer. Mika, Ayumi, and Haruka—they were all an important part of his life, and he was beginning to accept that he could stay focused on his dreams while also maintaining the relationships growing around him. There was no need to choose one over the other. Balance was possible, and for the first time, Ryo felt like he could walk his path with confidence.

That day, they spent time together, walking around, talking about the future, and enjoying their time without any pressure. Even though the exams were over, Ryo knew that his journey had only just begun. There were many challenges ahead, but with the support of his friends and his determination to stay true to his goals, he was ready to face whatever came next.
