Kael walked around the ship after the tour. The interior of the ship was amazing and he was extremely excited about being put in charge of such a ship. There was something that was bugging him though. As he walked through the ship he ran into multiple people all across it and each of them seemed oddly familiar to him. He would wave the crew members and they would do the same with a vibrant smile.
1 yeah ago, Kael was secluded and isolated from the outside world and by his family. His time was almost up and his mother was trying her possible best to bring out the hidden potential in him. They tried everything they could until he turned 16 at which point his mother seemingly gave up. The ship was her gift to him and he was told that a group of people perfectly suiting his style of authority would be selected as his crew members. That was why it took two months before he was finally able to go on his first mission.
'My memory is a little hazy due to all those trainings and tests but am almost completely sure I know everyone I've met so far on this ship.' He thought to himself. He decided it was finally time to inspect the Captain's quarters but he continued to think about the uniqueness of the situation.
He was in front of the door to his quarter when it suddenly hit him like a train. Memories started to flash through his head as he collapsed onto his knees clutching his head. The entire time his two guards were by his side and not a single one of them so much as flinched. They were given information from the boss lady herself that something like this might happen and all the boy really needed was time.
6 years ago. A young boy about ten years old was walking with his two guards through the many corridors of his mansion at a moderate speed. Today was a special day because of two very distinct and important occurances, first off his mother was coming on one of her incredibly rare visits and it was due to the second occurance which had already occurred. He had awakened, finally.
There are two types of people in this world. The unawakened, who were the majority of the entire human race across the Galaxy, and the Paragons, who were rare individuals that awakened powerful mystical abilities and traits.
As of this morning when a ten year old Kael woke up, it was supposed to be a normal day as always. He got bathed, brushed his teeth and got ready for school. As always he was greeted by his two guards at his door who would then proceed to accompany him until the end of the day when he would return to his room. Kael had no real friends because no ten year old was bold enough to approach such an important figure, especially when you consider the guards who wore threateningly serious expressions on their faces.
Walking out of his room's door he met his two guards who bowed down in front of him. He went over to tap their shoulders as a sign that they should stand up when suddenly, two light blue flame-like embers appeared around him for a second before rushing into the chests of both guards at once. A blue glow could be seen slightly at the center of their chest before they felt their power increase by a small margin. This little even was reported to the the boss lady who immediately made plans to visit her son.
Filled with great excitement, Kael stood in front of his city as a large ship descended from the sky. He ran towards the ship faster than his guards could react and jump through the half opened door into his mother's arms.
"Welcome back mom. I missed you so much." Kael said in his mother's arms.
"I missed you too Kael." His mother, a beautiful middle aged woman with silver hair going down to her waist said as she hugged him tighter.
"I heard you awakened your powers, what category are you?" His mother asked.
"Oh, I was so happy that you were coming that I forgot to check." Kael responded.
"Well then, let's check it together." She said with a radiant smile.
They returned to Kael's mansion as his mother brought out a small book and started reading it to him.
"There are three categories of awakened and their corresponding powers in this galaxy. The first and also the most common are idiospec category which grants one personal skill that grows over time. The second is the Axionis category which grants a singular unchangeable ability. With the Axionis category, the power doesn't grow and remains static until death. Then the final and rarest category, the legion category which grants the user an army of their own vision to cultivate. Little is known about the legion category and I don't expect you to awaken it but will support you no matter what." His mother said.
Kael mauled over how strange what his mother said was.
"Well then, let's have a little demonstration shall we." His mother said.
Kael stretched his arms towards his mother and waited. After an awkward five minutes of absolutely nothing happening, his mother looked at him with worry.
"Don't worry mom, I only awakened today so am sure something's gonna happen soon." Kael said.
"Son, how sure are you that you awakened?" His mother asked.
"Ask Oris and Dren." Kael said pointing to his two guards. "They were the ones that experienced my power."
Kael's mother looked intently at the two guards before walking into a separate room while gesturing for the two guards to follow her. Once they were in the room, she asked for a detailed report of what happened including if her child was just seeing things.
A detailed report of the entire day up to that point was given including when the two embers entered their bodies and boosted their power slightly.
"You two were tested very recently so I actually have a way to verify this story. Based on your report, I can't tell which category this ability is, you two are going to be tested further. Excuse yourselves and wait in the ship." His mother said.
