The Titan Spire stood as the central command and strongest structure within Duskwatch Bastion, a massive Gravitanium fortress designed to endure both siege warfare and environmental hazards. It serves as the heart of the outpost, housing strategic command centers and essential facilities for its forces.
Walking up to the reinforced door, Kael placed his hand on the fingerprint scanner and the door opened after a few seconds. Walking through the door, Kael ended up in an expansive entry hall leading to another reinforced door. There were six automatic defense turrets, three on each side, paired and spaced evenly for maximum defense.
He went up to the second door and a more extensive entry took place as his eyes, hand and voice were scanned before the door was opened. The door led into a gigantic war hall that made up the entirely of the first level. It was a gathering area that was bustling with hundreds of soldiers all in combat suits and split into ten groups.
Ignoring the mess of a War hall, Kael saw an elevator at the very back of the room. He knew he was going to waste a lot of time because he needed to head to the third level of the Titan Spire and the soldiers were heading up and down the elevator.
A smile blossomed on Kael's face as he channelled Nullborne Matter through his body before proceeding to fly directly upwards and through the ceiling to the next level.
Sigh "He forgot I was with him." Renna stated as she went towards the elevator. She had been following him this entire time.
The second level was a bit more empty but not completely. It was split into three sections connected via a hallway.
To the left side of the level was a large room, the Titan armory, to the right, the Barracks and Quarters and straight ahead was combat simulation hall.
Not wanting to spend too much time hear, Kael flew higher and ended up on the third floor which contained the command center, logistics archive and the tactical planning chamber.
Kael stood in front of the door leading to the tactical planning chamber and switched his overcoat into a suit. A pure white suit with purple lines running all around it only to converge into the Murion family insignia on his chest and back.
Without so much as a heads-up, Kael barged into the meeting room. He was already excited to receive a new mission so he could go out hunting again and he was a Murion, no one was gonna say or do anything to him.
The entire planning chamber went silent as someone barged in unannounced. There were ten people in total sitting on wall embedded seats evenly spaced out from each other. They looked at the person who entired and captain Vaylan spoke first as to not start anything.
"Young master Kael Murion. You finally arrived, we've been waiting on you for a while now." The captain said emphasizing on the Murion at the end of the name to make sure his people knew not to act up.
"Yeah, Renna provided some information on why you needed me today but am here to hear the full story and request from you." Kael responded nonchalantly.
"We called you hear today because we would like to grant you some rewards for helping save the lives of everyone hear. It might have been boring for you but everyone hear and the entire Duskwatch Bastion wants to thank you for granting them more time to live." Vaylan's second in command Cairn voss stated.
Kael's actions allowed everything that was happening now to happen and they were all truly greatful.
"Huh, I am actually here to receive the chain mission you guys have for me. I can just ask mom for a new ship." Kael stated.
This thought had crossed his mind multiple times but after seeing the situation at the outpost he decided to rather owe his mother a favor than bankrupt Duskwatch considering they didn't even have the funds to afford proper ships to solve most of their problems.
"We would still like to thank you anyways, and the mission can wait, have a little bit of patience." A council member stated to which captain Vaylan shot a quick glare at him to shut up.
Disrespecting a Murion was unexceptable no matter who you were and or what your intentions were.
"Master Kael, if you please be a little patient we would love to do everything systematically." Cairn voss tried to defuse the situation.
"Ok sure." Kael said. He didn't really have anything against the rewards, he was just bored and didn't want them to waste their already limited resources on him.
"We discussed over your rewards since you returned and came up with four of them which we would love to give to you." Cairn voss started.
Four people entered the room with the four rewards as they were called one after another and the rewards presented to him. After a few hours of discussion, Kael left the meeting looking incredibly different than before.
"What an impatient youth." One council member said.
"Such reckless impatience can get him killed." Another retorted.
In the end the mission and it's briefings were sent to his room's personal mission logs and he was to be prepared and ready to leave in a few days.
Although Kael was happy about what he received, he also saw no actual use in most of what he received. He was only truly happy about one of the rewards while the rest were a bit lackluster to him. Eventually he reached his ship and boarded it before heading to his quarters.
