A group of ten people led by Vaylan walked into Kael's cell for the 20th time today. This was the last batch for the day and Kael would then be allowed to rest for 4 hours.
As the normal blessings commenced, Vaylan looked at Kael hoping to see any life altering changes but there were none.
The only thing that was different was the intense hatred in his eyes as he looked at him.
"Hey, quit glaring at me." He said as he slapped Kael. He was getting impatient.
This was the halfway point batch. They signified a milestone for the outpost members, blessing them meant 2500 people had gained extra power from him.
Vaylan didn't really care for Kael's safety or well-being. What Vaylan wanted was the safety of his people which was becoming a distant dream the more people Kael blessed.
He couldn't afford to wait any longer, with more than half these people blessed it meant they had more than enough power to deal with his people.
Right on cue with his thoughts he received a notification from his communication device that he was needed immediately at the tactical planning chamber.
"They're probably planning on attacking the camp. If even a single one of them dies due to Murion's power I'll kill him myself." Vaylan mumbled to himself as he walked out of the chamber leaving Kael to finish the blessing.
Unfortunately, Kael had heard what he had mumbled to himself. Lacking the information needed to know that Vaylan was no longer in charge and that he can't do much against him, Kael's mind went blank.
"Hey, you're not done yet boy, finish up." A blessed person from the current group punched him in the stomach as he coughed up blood.
The aggression coupled with what Vaylan said planted the wrong idea in Kael's head.
'I was wrong, these people aren't planning on keeping me alive for long, they just needed enough power quickly so they could deal with whatever camp their speaking of. I need to act now.' Kael's mind raced as his body acted on its own.
Due to the rapid blessing of multiple people in a short period of time, his Axionis trait had been stressed and forced to the point where it had evolved in power once more.
He didn't know what effects or implications this evolution would have and he didn't have time to think.
His silver pupils immediately became crystal blue as he phased through the chains binding him to the wall. With the glow still in his eyes he grabbed onto a nearby unblessed as he forced way too much Nullborne Matter into his body.
Kael had been experimenting with his blessed subjects for a while but was not able to go too far due to Vaylan's keen eyes always being on him. Now that he had chosen to make his move however, he could do whatever he wanted, he was passed the point of no return.
Nullborne Matter filled every cell of the unblessed's body until it was too much for the cells to contain and a few seconds after Kael had grabbed onto the unblessed, the man fell to the floor.
The was no sound, no screams of agony, no pained groans, no convulsions. His body broke down at a visible pace as something even crazier happened.
His entire cellular structure ruptured as Nullborne Matter was flung forcefully in all directions.
Everyone other than Kael was sent tumbling to the ground as the power to the underground chamber gave out.
From the pitch black darkness, all that could be seen were a pair of glowing blue eyes. Kael moved swiftly to the person who had hit him before and tried to overload his body with Nullborne Matter only for the Nullborne anchor to absorb all the energy and distribute it through their body.
Kael quickly reversed his actions, his aura spreading through the entire cell as he unknowingly drained all the people he had blessed in the cell.
He couldn't see properly but his vision was better than most, he didn't see what happened to the people but he could tell they wouldn't get back up.
He then looked at the remaining four members. He blessed them, then sapped all the power from their bodies.
Moving quickly, Kael went to the stairs leading to the elevator. He entered and sat down in the elevator, chosing to go to the top floor.
As the elevator moved, he started focusing on all the connections he had established with his Axionis trait. He was planning on draining as much Nullborne Matter as possible for what he was about to do.
Dren and Cairn dashed ahead to try and deal with the railguns as Renna and the others tried their best to survive their current predicament.
The railgun shots were extremely powerful and highly explosive which made them very hard to avoid completely, on top of that the shots were fast as well.
The camp ran as fast as they could towards the outpost while avoiding the shots. Soon enough, the shots lessened and as the camp saw the valley open up to the flats, they stopped completely.
They reached the area only to be met with 1500 members of the foreign faction. They were ready to battle until 1000 more emerged from behind and boxed them in.
A chaotic battle insued as the faction members gained the edge with their numerical advantage. They were having a hard time killing anyone but found it way easier to overpower them.
Then, Dren and Cairn returned from behind the larger group of foreign faction members and begun to wreck havock on the battlefield.
Renna quickly informed Oris of their return, armed with this information, Oris set his sights on the smaller group and also started wrecking havock.
The shrouded hearts members gained a massive advantage over their enemies.
A large force of 2000 members blessed by Kael's power emerged from the Vanguard class battleship at the edge of the flats and split up into two groups.
Half of them were to head towards the Titan Spire while the other half towards the valley. In a single day, the entire Ebonridge flats had turned chaotic.
