The days passed by in a flash. Kael didn't know how much time had passed in the outside world because it was always dark down here and he was being visited with a batch of ten people every half hour.
That was the new system set in place to use his power to its fullest advantage. He still had the four hours of sleep but the intervals had been changed to 30 minutes and the number of members doubled.
He was tired and utterly drained but he could never truly run out of Nullborne Matter. The outpost had made this new change in an attempt to get full use of his power so they could destroy the annoying group directly at their front door.
All operations within this outpost had been seized until the situation was dealt with but after multiple days passed they started getting restless and begun playing into Kael's hands.
Oris, Dren, Renna and Cairn stood directly in front of the valley leading to the Ebonridge flats with their group of 1000 members behind them.
They had been preparing many things these past few days. Their attack strategy was far from perfect but the Intel provided by Renna stated that they needed to act fast. Renna didn't know the exact number of people that had been blessed by Kael but she knew the situation wouldn't get any better with time.
She had informed them of the outpost's increased rate of visitations as they were forced to rush the plans. They couldn't afford to wait any longer, they needed to strike soon before their enemies gathered enough power to strike them.
Their plan was pretty simple and straightforward. A three stage attack that would end with Kael in their possession.
Firstly, they were going to strike the defense mechanisms of the valley leading out of the flats. This would have them panicking as they scrambled to restore the systems.
Secondly, they would strike with full force while the enemies were distracted. With the defenses down, it would just be a matter of dealing with as many members as possible while distracting the rest and keeping them busy.
Then the final stage. The elites of the force created a strike team. The team consisted of the four Paragons and their only job would be to infiltrate the tower, find and bring back Kael, failure was not an option.
They had spent the last few days deliberating over the plan and tweaking out as much of the problems inside as possible and it was finally time to put it in motion.
The stepped forward and as predicted, a sudden gravitational force fell heavily on them. The first defense mechanism had been activated.
The gravitational force steadily started climbing higher. The normal force was left behind as Oris, Dren, Renna and Cairn made their way through as fast as they could. Using Renna's Idiospec, they were finally able to pinpoint a gravity well generator.
Fifteen flaming embers formed and slowly fused into a highly condensed singular fireball as they were fired with great force towards a certain point in the ground.
An explosion insured as a large metallic orb shaped machine was revealed through a hole created by the explosion.
With great difficulty, Dren dragged himself to the hole and stabbed a sword through as his energy enveloped the device and it disappeared a few seconds later.
Both Dren and Oris woke up with no Nullborne Matter stored over despite not having used it whatsoever. They didn't know what happened but they knew it had something to do with Kael getting kidnapped.
The biggest problem with this was that their Idiospecs were reversed to their original forms, no Nullborne boosts, which meant all the limitations had returned which was especially bad news for Dren.
With the gravitational barrier destroyed, they signalled for the others to come along as they matched forward.
A few minutes of movement and they were met with the second phase of defense mechanisms.
Dren and Cairn wasted no time as they dashed forward towards either mountain using but a few seconds to scale up to a certain height where two defense turrets were resting.
They quickly destroyed the turrets in their own special ways out of sight and returned to the group in no time.
They continued to match forward as tension started to rise. They were all once members of this outpost and they knew exactly what they were about to run into.
Moving forward for about five minutes, they all suddenly halted. Renna had lifted a hand for them all to halt because she had sensed a sudden shift and it was a big one.
Oris and Dren had a unique reaction as they finally felt an empty void within their chest get filled. Since they woke up, the feeling of a proverbial hole had formed within their chests but it was filled. They looked at each other.
"Murion has made his move." Vaylan stated with a smile.
It had bearly been five minutes when he had sent the last batch of members into Kael's cell. The last of 5000 members had been blessed and had gone to take a nap. That was when everything changed.
"Boss is finally back in action." Oris and Dren said simultaneously as they felt their connection to Nullborne Manifestation restored however to their dismay, they weren't receiving Nullborne Matter, the connection had nearly been reestablished.
"Move."
Everyone scattered in all directions. No one questioned the voice as they all spread out and disappeared from their previous locations.
No one had the time to question the voice because it belonged to the one who had been guiding them so far.
Renna's words had echoed in the ears of everyone as they moved quickly. A second later, a highly pressurized beam of light struck their previous locations as a large explosion occurred.
The railguns had been activated. Dren and Cairn ran ahead of everyone else as all Oris could do was watch. Without Kael's power, he didn't have any way of blocking railgun platform shots. Those were too destructive for 15 fire embers to stop.
