Chapter Three: Blood of Brothers

Chapter Three: Blood of Brothers

The first clash was swift. Kaito's shuriken whizzed through the air, striking with deadly precision. Ryuu was quick, too—his movements fluid and quick as he deflected Kaito's attacks with his own blades. There was no hesitation between them, no mercy.

They had trained together as brothers, but now they were enemies. Every strike, every movement was a reminder of what they once were. Kaito's thoughts briefly flickered to their training days—the days before Ryuu had turned his back on the clan.

"Why did you do it, Ryuu?" Kaito asked, dodging a quick slash. "Why betray everything we stood for?"

Ryuu laughed, his eyes cold. "Because honor won't change the world, Kaito. Power does."

Kaito's heart pounded in his chest. He couldn't understand it. The Ryuu he knew had once believed in justice, in the balance of life and death. But now… he was a shadow of his former self. Kaito's mind raced as they fought, his every instinct telling him he had to end this. He had to stop Ryuu before it was too late.
