The moon was a sliver in the sky, casting a ghostly light over the village. The wind carried the faintest trace of a whisper—an omen that the village’s peace was about to be shattered.

Kaito, known as the Shuriken Shadow, had long been a legend—a myth. Yet tonight, he returned. No longer the idealistic student of the Shuriken Shadow Clan, he had become an instrument of vengeance.

His mission was simple, yet infinitely complicated: to find and eliminate Ryuu, his former comrade, now a traitor to the clan.

The winds stirred as Kaito dropped from the shadows, vanishing into the darkness.

Chapter Sixteen: The Elemental Storm

As Kaito trained under Aiko's guidance, he unlocked more of his latent abilities. His mastery of the Hollow Mirage Technique allowed him to phase between attacks, but he needed more. He needed to command the elements like Aiko.

"Your clan's ancestors wielded something known as Tenshō Ryū—the Sky Ascendant Force," Aiko revealed. "A technique that lets you control the very winds and storms themselves."

Kaito closed his eyes, reaching out with his senses. He could feel it—the currents of air around him, the pressure building like an unseen force. He focused, channeling his breath, and suddenly—

A burst of lightning erupted from his fingertips, striking the tree in front of him. Aiko smiled. "Good. But you have to control it. If you let it consume you, the storm will devour you from within."

Kaito trained for days, learning how to harness the energy. Soon, he was able to call forth devastating lightning strikes, create barriers of wind to deflect attacks, and even move through the air like a phantom.
