Anastasia didn't think. Her body moved before her mind caught up. In an instant, her hand shot out, grabbing Britney by the throat and slamming her against the wall. The crunch of plaster cracked through the air as she hoisted her stepsister clean off the ground.
"How dare you show your face here," Anastasia growled, her voice dripping venom.
But Britney… Britney didn't flinch. Instead, a wide grin spread across her face, and she let out a twisted, almost gleeful laugh. "My, my, how you've grown, sis. Stronger than I remember." Her voice turned mocking, her eyes gleaming with something feral. "This is going to be so much fun."
Before Anastasia could react, Britney's arm shot out like a coiled viper. The force of the hit landed square on Anastasia's forearm, forcing her to release her grip. Britney didn't stop there. Her fist connected with Anastasia's chest like a wrecking ball, sending her flying through the air. Anastasia crashed into the front garden, her back hitting the ground with a dull thud.
For a heartbeat, there was silence. Then, Anastasia groaned, pushing herself up. Her chest heaved as she locked eyes with Britney, who stood on the porch, smirking like a predator.
"Still getting tossed around like a ragdoll, huh, Ana?" Britney teased as she sauntered down the steps.
"Keep talking," Anastasia hissed, brushing dirt off her arms. "It'll make breaking your nose even more satisfying."
Britney's smirk deepened. She broke into a sprint, leaped into the air, and landed with a ground-shaking impact just feet away from Anastasia. Her stance shifted, legs wide, fists raised. "Let's see what you've got."
Anastasia didn't need an invitation. She lunged forward, her fist slicing through the air like a missile. Britney dodged, twisting her body with a dancer's grace, and countered with a roundhouse kick. Anastasia ducked just in time, the force of the kick whipping the air above her head. She retaliated with an uppercut, her knuckles grazing Britney's jaw.
"Is that all you've got?" Britney taunted, wiping the faintest trace of blood from her lip.
"Don't worry," Anastasia shot back. "I've got plenty more."
The two clashed again, a blur of fists, kicks, and sharp movements. Each hit landed with bone-rattling force, each dodge executed with razor-sharp precision. Britney flipped over Anastasia, landing behind her and aiming a kick at her back. Anastasia twisted mid-turn, catching Britney's leg and slamming her to the ground.
But Britney wasn't down for long. She rolled back to her feet and launched herself at Anastasia, delivering a series of rapid punches. Anastasia blocked most of them, but a few landed, leaving a dull ache in her ribs.
The fight carried on like a deadly dance, neither woman letting up. Witty jabs flew as frequently as fists.
"Did Daddy teach you that weak punch, or did you figure it out on your own?" Britney sneered mid-dodge.
"Oh, you mean the one that's about to knock you out?" Anastasia retorted, landing a solid hit to Britney's side.
Meanwhile, Elijah stood on the porch, hands clasped behind his back, watching the chaos unfold with a faint smirk. He made no move to intervene, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
Wyatt, Billy, Matt, and Sean burst through the front door, drawn by the commotion. Wyatt immediately moved to step down the stairs, but Elijah's arm shot out, blocking his path without even turning his head.
"Leave them," Elijah said calmly. "Clearly, they need to hash some things out."
Wyatt growled in frustration. "You are not serious?"
Matt's gaze locked on Britney, his face twisting in disgust. "What the hell is she doing here?" he spat.
Behind them, Zython sauntered out, his hands in his pockets. When his eyes landed on the two women locked in combat, he raised a brow, then snapped his fingers. A bucket of popcorn appeared in his hand. He casually sat on the steps, popping a kernel into his mouth.
Sean and Matt both turned to glare at him. Matt's face was a mix of disbelief and fury. "Seriously, dude? How immature can you be?"
Zython shrugged, still chewing. "When you've been on this godforsaken planet as long as I have, you learn to appreciate the little joys. And this?" He gestured to the fight. "This is pure gold."
