Chapter 2: first kiss, loud music and 12 cans of beer
What woke jian up in the morning wasn't the sunshine through her window as the birds chirped away or the morning gentle breeze no, it was her best friend's loud ass scream
"Where, who, what" she asked frantically looking around, looking disoriented
"Your hair" she commented her hand over her amount, acting as dramatic as possible
"What happened to it" jian asked walking towards the mirror, she didn't need to ask twice, she let out a scream, plumping down on the dressing cupboard chair
"What happened" she asked horrified as she touched her hair, her hair which she pain strikingly grew out for a year now, it was long, soft and beautiful reaching her waist, it was like her little trumpt card, everyone complimented her on it
"Probably that stupid truth or dare game" chole answered eyeing her hair as she took a seat on her bed, her legs crossed as she analyzed her hair as if it was one of the wonders of the world
"Actually its not that bad" she complimented to wich she recived Jian's famous deadly glares
"What game" jian asked
"Look" chole said pulling out her phone and playing Jian's world record, to say she looked horrified was an understatement,
"Who is that" she asked frowning and chole just patted her back with a sympathetic look, suddenly she remembered something
"12 cans of beer" she murmured but chole still heard it,
"Oh, no wonder you don't remember shit, you had 12 cans of beer after this, how are you even still alive" she laughed walking back towards the bed as jian sat there contemplating her life decisions
"Look i even got a tatto" she said pulling her shirt up, revealing a tatto of a small snake on her waist
"Don't ask I don't know, who or how it got there" she said
"Your mom's gonna kill you" jian said with an evil smile, which got chole kicking her feet and complaining about how she's an adult and can get her own tatto but jian just laughed about her misery
"Ugh" she groaned her head was Killing her infact all her body arched, she got up to go back to bed
"I feel sick" she complained to chole as she cuddled her
"Get yourself a boyfriend" chole said pushing her off to which jian just came back to cling unto her, she only let go when chole offered to bring her a hangover drink and some soup for have breakfast,
"You really don't remember anything" chole asked coming back with the drink and a bowl of noddle soup
"No" jian answered slurping up her noddles
"12 cans of beer, really no one stopped me" she complained to which chole just rolled her eyes, drunk jian was no joke if someone tried to stop her they might have ended up in the hospital by now
"I found out who did this stupid tattoo for me" chole said looking at her tatto with horror
"Berlu" jian answered instead and chole gave her, the how did you know look and jian just gave her a cocky look,
"I'm gonna go take a shower first" chole announced walking towards the bathroom, jian hummed in response enjoying her noddle soup, as she hummed a song, doing a little dance when a food was good she had to show it but she suddenly stopped, the bowl almost dropping, she had this disturbing look on her face which turned to horror then surprise, she almost chocked on her noddles, she remembered three things, there was her dancing as everyone cheered, she really did look like she was having the time of her life, it was just that her dancing was really bad and why were they cheering instead of throwing her off the dance floor, then there was really loud music and laughter she really tried to remember where was that because it didn't look like the bachelorette house they rented for the party but no matter how hard she squatted down her hands on her templates she couldn't remember, so she gave up, another memory that will keep her up for many nights coming was that she had her first kiss drunk, surprisingly that wasn't the worst part, the worst part was it was with her official arch nemesis and she remembered every little detail about that kiss on the rooftop, so detailed it left her stunned, his warm hands, cold lips, how he tucked a strand of hair behind her ears, how he held her waist, his hand in her hair- she wouldn't take it anymore she threw herself on her bed kicking and screaming
"What's happening" chole rushed out, jian just turned with a grieved expression pushing her out of the way to the bathroom closing the door behind her where she completed her screaming match
"The hair's not that bad" chole consoled, thinking it was about her hair, she knew more than anyone how much effort jian put into her hair, so she didn't blame her outburst, the person better prepare because if jian found who did it, they sure will be in a pickle
"It was definitely him" she murmured biting her finger nails as she drained the water in the bath
"Of course, my brain you know is probably making stuff up since i can't remember" she said with a chuckle as she convinced herself, she opened the warm water as she waited she paced around, laughing from time to time and nodding her head, definitely even when drunk that wouldn't happen, he'll rather die than let her six feet near him, even though they only knew each other for about 5-6months now there wasn't a single moment when they saw eye to eye, she remembered the day he came with his brother and bianca to greet her mom after Jacob proposed to Bianca, bianca was like that elder sister she didn't have and like a daughter to her mother, her mother used to be her nanny when she was younger so they became really close and the moment they laid eyes on each other it was clear, she was brought on to the earth to fight seth and he definitely taught the same too
"Dark hair, six feet, cocky smile, canines, soft lips, blue eyes, cinnamon scented" she whispered pulling her hair as she trashed in her bath,
"I'm doomed" she concluded leaning on the bathtub as she soaked herself
"Ji, you alive in there" chole asked concerned when she didn't come out even after 30 whole minutes
"Hmm" she answered
"Just thinking" she added with a deep sigh, how was she gonna even face him, maybe he does remember, yes she'll act nonchalant and pretend she doesn't remember anything, plus it might not even be a valid memory, i mean considering their relationship even alcohol can't change that, right she nodded if he didn't bring it up she wouldn't too, with that she got up.
"Why does it look like your having a midlife crisis" chole commented as she watched her zombie walk out of the bathroom
"I made a quick snack breakfast" chole said proudly presenting a half burned toast with syrup and bacon
"Wow" jian sarcastically complimented to which chole threw a pillow at her and the girls laughed,
"Hope you didn't burn down the kitchen" jian asked with raised brows as she cut the burnt part to enjoy the rest
"I made that perfectly made bacon and half sleepy seth and berlu made that burnt toast" she said pointing respectively, the moment she heard his name she chocked on her toast
"You good?" Chole asked as she passed her a cup of water, jian nodded as she drank
"I knew i shouldn't have accepted that toast, they looked like they'll have pased out any second" she complained
"Is the toast good" she asked and jian just nodded, her mind was in the gutter again, she wouldn't help it
"Ugh,why him" she groaned, complaining to chole who was just left confused but before she could ask they heard commotion downstairs and running up the stairs before they their door was swinged open
"Girls" Bianca called out, catching her breath as the girls stared in confusion
"Pack" she announced rushing out, leaving them even more confused, it took them a while to understand, jian grabbed her phone they looked at the time and immediately started panicking, chole rushed out to pack, they're flight was gonna leave in one hour 45 minutes and some were just waking up and the better ones have but haven't even packed yet or done anything productively related to their departure since they woke up
"Damn" jian complained as she tried rushing her breakfast then finishing her hangover drink, her body still hurt and she was still sleepy, she was planning on going back to bed to get more rest but looks like she'll do that on the bus and plane.
"Why didn't you wake us up earlier" seth complained to his brother who had to literally use cold frozen water to them to actually finally wake them up, he just gave them that look that said 'seriously' before he told them to be quick or they'll be left behind
"Damn it" berlu cursed as he just randomly shoved his clothes in his bag, seth was about to call him out and tease him about how disorganized he was but he realized, he'll just do thesame, he didn't even take a bath yet, he definitely was gonna eat something before they left because he was hungry so there was breakfast too, if he wanted to fold he's clothes and organize them he might actually be left behind so he just separated the clean clothes from the dirty one and started shoving them inside the bags too, little did he know the tousers he randomly threw in held a ring that cintain a secret that was going to be absolutely unbelievable to him in the future.
"Done yet" chole asked as she pushed her suitcase inside then rushing to comb her hair
"Yeap" jian who already just packed and dressed up answered
"Wait, you have my charger right" jian asked as she did her lipgloss
"Oh yeah in my purse" chole answered, jian opened the purse hanging over her shoulders to take out her charger
"The power bank's not there" she informed as she rummaged through the purse
"Oh yeah in berlu's room" she answered finally tieing her hair in a ponytail
"Really" jain complained, that was Seth's room too, and she had made up her mind to avoid that pest, she didn't have a good feeling meeting him, she did say if he said anything about the rooftop 'incident' that's when she'll talk about it too but she's not ready whether he wants to talk about it or not she doesn't, she was gonna go do some night prayers to forget about it and pretend it never happened, what first kiss, ha!! She snorted
"You go get it" she said to chole who was about to reply but heard her name being called
"Sorry" she apologized before running off
"This girl" jian was flabbergasted, she saw that expression, there was definitely something she was keeping from her whether it was about Berlu or frank or maybe seth also kissed her, suddenly she felt a bit upset, she didn't like that at all,
"That's because thats inappropriate" she said to herself, he can't kiss her then kiss her best friend it was all about morals nothing else
"Jian, you've gone nuts" she scolded herself, after giving herself some motivational speech about how she can do it, it would be quick, in and take her power bank and out make a run for it, there was a very high chance he wasn't even there,he was a really well organized guy so he probably already packed and was out but little did she know. As she was giving herself words of encouragement she didn't realize that she was rushing straight into what she was running from, she ended up bumping into him
"Sorry" she apologized
"Where are you going" he asked, she halted she could recognize that voice anywhere, seriously fate really do pull you towards what you're running from
"None of your business" she answered ready to walk away, just avoid it and it would go away she said to herself
"Well i guess you're looking for this but eh none of my business" Seth said with a cocky smile as he internally counted to 3 and surely he heard her sigh before she turned around with an annoyed expression
"Give it back" she said one hand on her hip and the other stretched out, she looked totally pissed and seth was having a field day with it
"No" he rejected leaning down to be eye level with her which just pissed jian even more, she couldn't help but scoff
"Asshole" she murmured under her breath, even though she said it so silently seth still heard it
"20 bucks" he said with a innocent smile, one would think they were best friend talking about the wheather or lovers with the smile he had on
"Seriously" jian couldn't believe her ears if anyone needed 20$ it was gonna be her, he's now extorted money from her, unbelievable
"Or, you can maybe..i don't know give me a kiss" he joked, one thing he expected was a hard kick or even him just waking up in heaven but to his absolute surprise, he received a flash kiss and by the time he came to, both the girl and the powerbank were no where in sight.
