Chapter 19: A 50/50
The next day, everyone was gathered in Jacob's suit as they watched Jacob and Brianna pack for the Maldives.
"Take me with you" jian whined, her cheeks were no longer hurting that much after enough rest and medicines she took, the swelling reduced significantly.
"Stop being a baby" brianna scolded but still smiled at her indulging her
"You'll have to find a boyfriend first, it's a couples trip" Stephanie added, she knew Jian's sour spot the only boyfriend she had was in the 6th grade and that didn't last more than 4 months, he tried to oppress her into kissing him so she dumped him
"I mean Ethan's here" brianna teased as she bumped her shoulder
"There's Seth too" jacob added and bianca gave him a side eye, was he trying to steal jian for seth no way, she's for Ethan
"She's already for Ethan" brianna said and jian couldn't help face palm, where was this topic going
"Seth's got charm, she probably already fell for it" Jacob said leaving jian speechless. Were they serious right now, they we're literally standing there while the couple talked about them as if they weren't
"Did you" Brianna asked with raised brows
"No" jian immediately replied looking at seth, the moment they're eyes meet she immediately looked away, leaving seth bewildered the jian he knew would have immediately glared at him, looking straight into his eye balls, he raised he's brows was she avoiding him, did he overstep his boundaries, was she upset about the peek. He couldn't help be panick,
"See" brianna said with excitement as if she won.
"Don't change the topic, take me with you" jian pouted as she let go of Bianca's arm to cling unto jacob's.
"Damn, I thought you guys would leave" chloe ran in breathless
"Chloe" jian ran over to give her a hug as if she was bullied and her savior arrived
" You good" she whispered and Chloe nodded with a smile, she cried it out, it would get better, she would eventually get over him.
"So that's the love stare" mina said startling ethan who was staring at jian as she laughed about something someone said
"Mina right" he asked but more like said as he turned around
"Yeap" she nodded
"Is it that obvious" he asked turning back to look at her
"Pretty much" she said chuckling
"so is it official" she asked and ethan sighed, how he wished so
"Not really" he answered
"It's like a 50/50 chance" he added
"It's better than none, and you never know how far that 50% can go" mina said which ethan turned to look at her, he liked her already, she was on his side and her words gave him a boost of encouragement as for mina she was setting her plan in motion, she was gonna play it safe. Set Ethan and jian up leaving free space beside seth and she'll swipe in, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
"Right" Ethan agreed with a smile.
By 1 in the afternoon Brianna and Jacob were done packing and were ready to set off, Stephanie and Susan dropped them off at the airport after saying their goodbyes, it was full of tears and laughter, because after the honeymoon they'll move to london, were they'll be staying. By 3 in the afternoon the others have also already packed and left for their respective homes.
"Let's go" Fiona said to seth, who helped her carry her luggage, jian couldn't help sneer. So much for a stupid crush, she was going to uncrush him that instant, he couldn't even say goodbye to her and immediately ran off with his ex-girlfriend, might aswell date her she scoffed
"What got you worked up" ethan asked as he grabbed her luggage
"Nothing" she smiled, yes she has her best friend whose a perfect gentleman, seth can fly for all she cares.
"Chloe hurry" ethan called and chloe's grunting as she pushed her suitcase down answered back
"How did you need all that" he asked confused,
"Its not all my stuff, bianca left some stuff for us too" chloe answered as she scowl her face
"Just leave it here, I'll drop these and come back for it" Ethan sighed, the luggage might be big but it wasn't heavy, all that grunting was just for him to carry it for her, immediately ethan said that she dropped it and locked arms with jian skipping off
"Oh your already leaving" mina asked and both girls halted, since when did they become close until mina is talking so casually to ethan, they both raised their brows
"Oh yeah, you too" ethan asked and mina nodded they waved goodbye and she left
"What" Ethan asked and the girls immediately both took one arm asking endless questions
"How did you know her" Chloe asked
"When did you guys become so casual" jian asked
"Do you like her" chloe asked and jian immediately replied
"No" she said looking up at ethan who shook he's head laughing, what was wrong with these two
"They look cute" Fiona commented as she watched from a distance as seth loaded her bag in the truck
"Who" he asked looking back and halted for a second before going back to what she was doing, Fiona smiled as she walked away to get in the car, mission successful.
When Ethan and the girls arrived it was already 4, they got settled and by 5 they went to cookie monster, where chloe explained what happened to ethan, thank God berlu and frank were God knows where. He insisted on cheering chloe up so they spent the whole day doing fun stuff. Seth dropped mina off and then drove 2 hours to drop Fiona off, he wanted to go back but Fiona's mother wouldn't let him so he had no choice but to stay for dinner and the night.
