Jian had just put her flowers in the vase standing in the entrance of the back door, the other gifts she had kept on the mat on the floor in the corner back in the main room and would carry it home when she was leaving but the flowers, she didn't want to place it on the floor she didn't want any accident that would ruin it anyhow, so she kept it in the safest place until she was leaving, the vase. She looked at it for a few more seconds before walking away satisfied, he had picked her favorite flowers. As she walked on she didn't realize that someone was hiding in the dark in the corner and immediately she was close enough, the figure pulled her closer instinctively she was about to scream but a hand covered her mouth preventing her from screaming which scared her even more and that's when she heard the voice whisper in her ears
"Shh" the figure shushed and jian without even realizing she has calmed down
"Seth" she whispered and the guy smiled
"Are you crazy" jian whisper yelled and the guy couldn't help but chuckle, she looked like a frightened rabbit and it was cute
"Yeap, for you" he said leaning towards her face, Jian thanked God they were in the dark and the only light that was illuminating the place was the little window above them, it was only clear enough to see Seth's face partially and she didn't think the guy would be able to see her face so clearly that he'll notice his cheesy line had not only her cheeks red but literally whole face aswell
"Chessy much" she retorted folding her hands over her chest and rolling her eyes, she could hear Seth's chuckle
"You look gorgeous btw" he complimented leaning back
"Thanks" jian said smiling at him
"I got you something" he said pulling out a small velvet book, he opened it and jian gasped at how pretty it was, it was a small pendant with a diamond and sapphire in it, she knew the diamond was for her because it was her birth stone but didn't know what the sapphire was for, she didn't need to think further because seth answered the unasked questions
"Its diamond for you and sapphire for me" he said as he placed the box on the ground then held jian by the shoulders and spun her around, the way he said that made her heart skip a beat so he was a September born
"When's your birthday" she asked as he gathered her hair one side and threw it over one shoulder to get access to her neck and put on the necklace for her
"4th" he answered and jian hummed in response, his birthday was still far away but she couldn't help that her brain that already started planning what to get him, would they be together by that time the thought made her smile
"Done" Seth said as she turned back around, the necklace was nothing short less than perfect, it was perfect for everyday wear, it was small and comfortable
"Thank you" she smiled at him and he smiled back
"I have a even better gift" Seth said, jian who was busy admiring her necklace that she didn't see the mischievous look the guy had in his eyes
"What is it" she asked without still looking up, she was mesmerized by the way the bracelet that Ethan had given her matched with the necklace so perfectly, it even looked like a set
"Do you want it" Seth asked a finger under her chin so she'll be looking at him, he had given her the gift but he was beginning to get jealous about how it was getting all her attention instead of him
"Wha-i- i have to know what it um is" jian stammered her whole face was so red, she was scared she'll explode. Why was he looking at her like that and holding her chin like that, taking her breath away. Seth was now satisfied that he was able to grab her attention
"You'll need to give me permission to show you" he said and jian looked at him skeptical, this guy was one shady guy she knew he was up to nothing good, she had an inkling it wasn't a physical gift and the thought left her blushing again
"I have to know what is it first" she said removing his finger that was holding her chin up
"Oh i think you know" seth teased her, jian was exasperated she immediately turned around to walk way, this guy was too vulgar but she was pulled back in, she felt a hand on her waist and before she could say anything she left a pair of lips on hers, she was too stunned to move at first but that only lasted for a few seconds the more she felt the soft lips on her, her resolve melted, immediately he felt her respond to his kiss he pulled away earning a pout from her which made him smile. Their eyes locked a silent challenge dancing between them, he leaned back in slowly teasingly, his breath warm against her skin. The first touch of his lips was light, almost hesitant, but when she responded, the kiss deepened, soft yet urgent, playful yet consuming. Fingers tangled in her hair, hearts pounded in sync, and the world faded around them. When they finally pulled away, breathless and grinning, the air between them crackled with unspoken promises. Their foreheads leaning against each other they smiled and at that moment jian was so overwhelmed with emotions that she immediately said what was in her heart at that moment and what she wanted to say to him ever since she realized her feelings
"I love you" she said and the place was pin drop silence, it was like the world stopped and when the kiss fog cleared she immediately grew embarrassed, why did she have to say that, was it too early for that, it was that damn kiss and the kisser's fault she was really about to cry from the second hand embarrassment she gave herself when she felt seth leaned in for a hug, he hugged her so tightly she would feel what he was trying to say when they both looked up, the first thought that pop in their minds was the kiss, seth smiled at her that was the most genuine and happy smile he had ever seen anybody have and before they knew it they were leaning for each other again. Their bodies collided in a rush of heat and urgency, fingers grasping, breath hitching. His lips crashed against hers, demanding, relentless, as if he'd been starving for this moment, she responded with equal fervor, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. Their hands roamed, tracing the shape of familiarity and longing, each kiss deeper, more desperate than the last. The air between them was thick with need, the world beyond them forgotten. When they finally pulled apart, breathless and dazed
"What have you done to me jian" seth asked leaning on her neck as he hugged her waist at that moment he thought it was the perfect time to ask her out, but before he could declare his love for her, they heard voices calling out for jian it sounded like mina and Juliet
"Where is she" Juliet askes no one in particular
"Ethan said she left the garden though" mina answered as she looked around, it was time for cake cutting and Jian's friend had arrived to surprise her aswell but the girl was no where to be seen and that made her mad it left a certain person anxious aswell when they realized seth wasn't around too
"What if they were together" mina thought to herself biting her lower lips
"Stay here" jian said, she immediately tapped on her face as if that was going to erased everything that happened there, she fixed her dress and combed her hair with her hands, she was glad that all this kissing saga didn't reach her neck leaving hickeys there, so he wasn't stupid after all
"I'll go out first" she said preparing to walk out but the guy pulled her back in. She was about to protest, what if someone saw them but instead of words her mouth released a sound that stunned her immediately she bit her lips, closing her eyes her intial protest died in her throat when she felt a pair of lips on her neck sucking on it, a pair of hands was making it through her thighs, she subconsciously leaned back giving the guy more access which made him smile, thank God for mina who yelled her name again, she immediately pushed the guy off glaring but he only gave her an innocent smile,
"You" she pointed breathless and out of words, she fixed her dress again and fixed her hair, bring one side over her neck. No one needed to tell her what to expect was there. After taking a couple of deep breath she walked out, a couple of steps later she bumped into the girls
"Jian" julliet screamed coming to hug her
"Where were you" mina asked jian noticed a bit of hospitality in her voice which stunned her but as if realizing her tone wasn't tight, mina immediately changed it
"We were so worried" she added and Juliet nodded with a pout, jian apologized to the girls and said she went to the bathroom first then went to get some fresh air, Juliet nodded but mina who was walking behind her had a hostile glare on, she noticed she smelt different and she didn't need a genius to tell her why.
"Stephanie" Jian screamed when she walked in and saw Stephanie standing there in flesh and blood
"Happiest birthday baby" Stephanie said as she hugged jian back, although she was just 4 years older than jian she always acted like a mom hen towards her
"Thank you" jian said still hugging her,
"What's that" Stephanie whispered to her when she noticed the mark on her neck
"Oh we need to talk young lady" Stephanie said when she noticed the blush and how jian was trying to hide her face in her chest.
"It's cake time" chole yelled
"Where's ethan too" she asked again just then he walked in
"Here" he said raising his hand just as he took his place seth walked in too. The squad was completed and it was now time to have fun, chole handed jian the fork and knife to jian to cut her cake.
