Chapter 10

"I'm sorry." Her voice was hoarse, her eyes filled with remorse. "I was wrong before. I shouldn't have treated you that way. I shouldn't have taken you for granted. Can you forgive me and come back to me?"

I let out a cold laugh, my gaze sharp as I yanked my hand away from hers. "Stop dreaming. We're impossible now. Please leave, or I'll call security."

"You can yell at me, hit me even. As long as you still love me and are willing to give me a chance, I'll do anything you want."

Faye refused to give up, not believing that our past feelings could just disappear like that. She continued to fight for us desperately.

"Fine, then disappear," I said, crossing my arms and raising an eyebrow at her with a loaded smile. "Get out of my sight and stop bothering me from now on. That's what I want you to do."

"No, Mr. Winters. I love you. I won't leave you. You're the only husband I'll ever acknowledge."
