The surroundings of the Demon Palace were filled with screams of fear. Wang Zhixian, one of the strongest elders of the Xian Dao Sect, had died in the hands of Sun Moju in just one slash. Fresh blood was still dripping from his black sword, emitting an increasingly terrifying demonic aura.
The remaining elders and elders began to slowly retreat. Their faces were filled with fear that they could not hide.
"We… we have to get out of here!" whispered one of the elders with a trembling voice.
"No! We can't let this Demon King live! If we run away now, the destruction of the Xian Dao Sect is just a matter of time!" Su Liuxian shouted, trying to raise the spirits of his comrades.
Sun Moju heard that and chuckled softly. "Your doom was determined from the moment you stepped into this place."
In a flash, he disappeared from his spot and appeared in the middle of the remaining sect elders.
"Shadow Reaper Slash!"
Instantly, dozens of shadowy sword blades emerged from the darkness, spinning and slashing the bodies of the sect elders mercilessly. Screams of pain rang out as their bodies were torn to pieces, blood soaking the black ground of the Demon Palace.
Su Liuxian managed to dodge the attack at the last second, but his body was still badly injured. He staggered, his breath coming in short gasps.
"How… can you be this strong…?" he muttered with wide eyes.
Sun Moju walked up to him calmly. "You've seen my strength for yourself. Why are you still asking?"
Quickly, Su Liuxian chanted a spell, creating a spear of light in his hand and throwing it towards Sun Moju.
"Heaven's Divine Lance!"
The spear shot out at incredible speed, slicing through the air with dazzling light.
However, Sun Moju only lifted a finger.
CLANG!
With a single touch, the spear shattered into pieces.
Su Liuxian's eyes widened in horror. "No… this is impossible…"
Sun Moju smiled faintly. "I'm tired of this fight."
In one swift movement, he pierced Su Liuxian's chest with his hand, gripping his heart tightly.
Su Liuxian coughed up blood, her body trembling. "I-I…"
Sun Moju withdrew his hand, and Su Liuxian fell to the ground, lifeless.
The remaining surviving elders of the sect began to flee. They knew that there was no hope of victory.
Sun Moju stared at them coldly. "Running away?"
He raised his hand into the air, and a dense shadow instantly covered the sky. Thousands of demonic energy spears formed above them.
"Demon's Rainfall."
Thousands of black spears shot down at high speed, striking the bodies of the fleeing elders. Not a single one was left.
In a short time, the entire Xian Dao Sect army had been wiped out.
Sun Moju stood in the middle of a pool of blood, looking up at the dark sky with a satisfied smile.
"And so… the Xian Dao Sect is over."
Sun Moju stood amidst the ruins of his demonic palace, which had been devastated by the recent battle. Rubble was scattered everywhere, and traces of blood stained the dark ground. He let out a quiet sigh before raising his hand.
"Reconstruction Spell."
A dense, dark aura enveloped the palace. In an instant, the once-destroyed structure began to rebuild itself—floating debris and shattered stones returned to their places. Within moments, the palace stood tall again, even more magnificent than before.
After restoring his palace, Sun Moju returned to his chamber and sat down in a meditative position.
Yet, the moment he tried to calm his mind, a sharp pain stabbed through his head.
"Agh…!"
His hand clutched his forehead as his breathing grew heavy. Fragmented memories surfaced in his mind—an indistinct face, a voice calling his name, and emotions that felt strangely familiar.
"No… I don't want to remember…!"
Sun Moju's eyes snapped open. He couldn't let his past haunt him. If he wanted to continue his path as the Demon Monarch, he had to erase all remaining traces of his old self.
The only way was to craft a Grade-4 Spiritual Pill, a pill capable of erasing specific memories. But gathering the necessary ingredients wouldn't be easy.
"I must descend into the mortal world."
However, Sun Moju knew he couldn't go as he was. If his identity as the Demon Monarch was revealed, the entire world would hunt him down.
With a single incantation, he altered his appearance. His short black hair with purple streaks remained the same, but his overwhelming demonic aura was now concealed. His piercing red eyes turned into deep black, and his black and crimson robes transformed into the simple attire of a wandering alchemist.
"This should be enough."
After ensuring he wouldn't attract unwanted attention, he set out for the mortal world.

Sun Moju arrived in a bustling city, the largest trade hub in the region. Shops lined the streets, selling everything from alchemical ingredients to rare artifacts and spiritual weapons.
He began searching for the materials needed to craft his pill, entering one shop after another. Yet, the crucial components were nowhere to be found.
As he was about to move to the next shop, a commotion caught his attention in a narrow alleyway.
A young woman in ragged clothing was surrounded by three men with rough appearances. Fear was evident on her face as she trembled under their menacing gazes.
"Please… don't hurt me…" she pleaded.
One of the men sneered. "Don't worry, we just want to have a little fun."
Without hesitation, Sun Moju stepped forward.
"Let her go." he said, his voice calm yet commanding.
The three men turned to face him, one of them scoffing.
"Look at this—another lowly fool trying to play hero."
Sun Moju chuckled lightly. "Me? A lowly fool? Aren't you the ones more deserving of that title?"
The man scowled. "What did you just say?!"
Sun Moju continued nonchalantly, "If you were truly strong, why would you pick on a defenseless woman? How disgraceful."
One of the men clenched his fists in rage, veins bulging on his forehead. "Shut up! You're really starting to piss me off!"
Without warning, he lunged at Sun Moju, throwing a powerful punch.
Sun Moju smirked.
"Interesting."
With a swift movement, he sidestepped effortlessly. The man's fist struck nothing but air.
Before his attacker could react, Sun Moju casually lifted a single finger and flicked the man's forehead.
BANG!
An invisible force sent the man flying backward, crashing violently against the alley wall.
The two remaining men stood frozen in shock. "What?! What just happened?!"
Sun Moju fixed them with an icy stare. "Do you want to find out for yourselves?"
